As a cat lover, I had to check out this place - who can resist a place with a cat prominently…read morefeatured on its sign! Conveniently located near the ferry terminal and also near the Hyannis Harbor hotel where we were staying for a weekend getaway to the Cape a few weekends ago. We walked down the street, checked out the menu which looked good. It was a bit hot so we decided to sit inside however it felt a bit dark inside so we went back outside and were seated under the covered area outside. The menu is quite extensive so no trouble finding something you like. We ordered the crab cake appetizer which was good - I prefer more lump crab meat and this was all minced together but still good. For my main dish I ordered the salmon which came with roasted potatoes and veggies with a light sauce. It was nice - salmon was tender, potatoes were crispy and tender - good portion size. Hubs ordered the dayboat cod and he enjoyed it. Servers were nice and they even took our photo on request. It's a popular spot you can tell - both inside and outside were busy. Was nice sitting outside- they have these planters on the side which make for nice outdoor decor. Overall a good experience!

Our server was ok and when my friend asked for a straw she brought over two unwrapped straws completely holding the ends that my friend would either be placing in her drink or into her mouth. My friend did not use the straws. My friend also asked for "to-go" silverware as her cutlery was a bit dirty - our server seemed annoyed. Small requests overall that made us feel like we were burdening her. I got the Buffalo Cauliflower which was ok. Drenched in sauce and soggy. My friend ordered a fish and chips that was the only thing to save the meal.

Quick Update on The Pancake Man The Pancake Man continues to…read moredeliver that classic charm we all love. The old-school decor is part of the magic--full of nostalgia and warmth that's getting harder to find these days. You really get great value for what's served; portions are generous, and the food hits the spot every time. While staff turnover can be noticeable due to seasonal hires, service has never been an issue in all my visits--always friendly and efficient. I truly hope this place stays just the way it is for years to come. It would be amazing to see future generations enjoy The Pancake Man as much as we have. A true local gem!

My daughter ordered an omelette that was overdone and greasy. When it was time to pay the bill, we gave exact change, which would ensure a nice tip for our waitress. However, we were told that they "round up the amount". WTF? So, for example, the 48 cents was suddenly 50 cents. The nasty woman at the front desk wouldn't accept the exact amount of the bill (system automatically rounds up according to her). Between the subpar food, ridiculous "system" that rips off the customer and the nasty attitude at the front desk, the Pancake Man is no longer a breakfast stop during our vacations on the Cape.
