Food came out quick and was exactly what we wanted!! Service was great, checked on us occasionally, making sure everything was ok.

The signage outside is warm and inviting. The inside of the diner is classic Cape Cod. Service was alright, the waitress was friendly. My partner loved their green chili breakfast burrito ($16.50) with a glass of orange juice ($7.00). I opted for the Irish Eggs Benny, which was not the best ($16.00). The eggs were overcooked and the potatoes tasted like burnt garlic powder. Red peppers were mixed in the hash- strange combination. I would come back a second time and order pancakes to see if it lives up to their name!

corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, home fries. soooo yummy!

The pancakes are very good this is a super good family friendly breakfast spot. All the staff is super friendly and quick. It tends to get busy but there isn't usually a very long wait.

Wish we could give this place more than 5 stars. My husband and I are visiting on the Cape this week and were looking for a place to stop and eat an early breakfast with our 2.5 year old son (he's up at 6AM). Most breakfast places weren't opening until 8AM or 9A, which was not an option for our hungry (and demanding) little guy to wait that long. We took a chance on The Pancake Man, provided it was close by and open at 7AM and man, were we impressed. Service was impeccable. The gentleman who was our server was beyond kind, attentive and professional and even engaged sweetly in conversation with our son throughout the meal. Our food came out almost instantly after we ordered and every single thing we had was phenomenal. My son (who is picky) devoured the kids size french toast (which was fairly large, actually). My husband (where the pickiness stems from) couldn't stop raving about his "cinnful" pancakes and practically licked the plate clean and I was beyond thrilled by my Irish eggs benedict, which I always order apprehensively at new places, knowing corned beef can be either fantastic or horrible. The corned beef was flavorful, the hollandaise sauce was rich and buttery, and I second my husband in singing the praises of the home fries. Prices were extremely reasonable and we are looking forward to returning (maybe even during this trip!)

Won't take orders for pick-up. I work right down the street and wanted to grab some breakfast. Apparently local dollars don't matter.

All the road work going on MA 28 was also incentive, as we could get there without traveling on it from where we were staying. We were also told several times to get their grilled breads (if you weren't gluten-free, of course). The complimentary coffee in the waiting area was a nice tough as well. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. We had maybe a 3 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday morning. There were lots of specials on the blackboards on the side wall. Coffee came out quickly; it was piping hot and mellow, with very frequent refills. I did try the bread, an apple-cranberry, grilled/toasted medium with a pat of butter for extra yum. I opted for the hash Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. I got potatoes by mistake anyway, but they immediately brought over the fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise was flavorful, and the hash was crisp and not greasy at all. Now it's my turn to be a good friend and pass the recommendations forward for others.

What can I not say about this place…read more I came here a year ago based off all you fellow yelper's guidance and you're usually 100% correct. I remembered how great of a breakfast I had, that when I went to the Cape again, I made it a point to come back. The counter waitress is unbelievably friendly. She busts her butt and thank god, because it makes everything special. I ordered the Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes with a side of bacon. The medley of sweetness, saltiness and creaminess from the blueberry sauce made with fresh blueberries, ricotta and pancakes all blended nicely. I felt like every bite was heaven. I probably didn't need the bacon, but it was cooked just how I like it... well done! The waitress never let my coffee mug reach the bottom and she was always smiling. I saw some muffins on the wall and almost took home some cornbread jalapeño ones because they looked divine, but somehow I managed to contain myself. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely like to come back soon!

Great food, a perfect setting, friendly service, fair prices, and an owner who clearly cares about the customers and the experience. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Everything came out fresh, hot, and exactly the way it should. You can tell this is not some rushed breakfast place just pushing plates out. They take pride in what they serve, and it shows from the first bite. The staff was awesome. Friendly, attentive, welcoming, and on top of everything without making you feel rushed. The owner was also so nice, which adds a lot to the overall feel of the place. It has that local, comfortable, well run Cape Cod atmosphere that makes you want to come back. Another big plus is the space. The Breakfast Room is larger than a lot of the other breakfast spots nearby, which makes it much easier to get seated. They also have both indoor and outdoor options, which is perfect depending on the weather and the kind of morning you want. The prices are just right, especially for the quality of the food and the overall experience. Great food, great people, great setting, and a much easier place to get into than some of the smaller nearby breakfast spots. The Breakfast Room is a must visit in West Dennis. This is exactly how a breakfast place should be run.

(For reference a steak breakfast is $18.50) however, you can see in the photo that they OVERCOOKED the dang eggs. We brought it up and one of them was taken off the bill, but the experience for our guests on cape cod was ruined and they are only here for a short time, so errors like this are detrimental. Go for omelets and their banana bread french toast. Service is nice.
