We had such a great experience with Chef Fumiko (Prune Kitchen) with ClassPop! We did the sushi making class with Chef Fumiko and she was super knowledgable, friendly and patient as we all worked together to make our sushi. Her commercial kitchen in the back of her house was set-up so nice and you were allowed to BYOB which was a huge plus. We made 3 different rolls, enjoyed some miso soup and tea. The tips and tricks I learned last night make me feel confident to make sushi at home! I saw a few negative reviews about the Groupon to ClassPop experience. My sister gifted us a gift certificate directly through ClassPop which I think is the way to go when booking your experience. The Groupon may seem like a good deal but going through ClassPop directly, we didn't have any issues and received several emails ahead of time from the Chef about the class. Honestly, my wife and I had a great time. We enjoyed making Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo from scratch. The class had great people and the wine pairing options were perfect. Chef Catalina's 4 course Italian class was so much fun! The course was well organized, engaging and informative. The food we made was delicious and I left with a full belly and some left overs. Catalina's kitchen was beautiful and homey. I enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know them throughout the night as we settled down at the dinner table.
