I wish I could give negative stars for this one. I had a transport call from a hospital. I ended up getting a Classy Cab, which I didn't realize until I was into the ride. I use a power wheelchair, so I was strapped in and pretty well committed before any of this happened. The driver has me strapped in, then gets into his seat. He turns and hands me a mask and informs me that I have to wear it. I responded that I didn't have to wear one on the way there, nor in the hospital. He informed me that the drivers are allowed to make their own rules. We rode in silence. When I looked up, it was clear that he was doing something with the phone in his lap. He would glance up at the road, then back down to his lap. My son called me and I referred to the driver as a clown. The driver then made another call and complained to someone that I had referred to him as a clown. He then began telling whoever he was talking to that I had a problem with masks. I immediately corrected him and said that my displeasure did not stem from the mask, it came from the way I was treated. This driver waited until I was locked in and we were moving to inform me of his personal policy. Keep in mind that he never said this was company policy or a mandate. It was his own fear driven agenda that he decided to force on anyone unfortunate enough to ride with him. I also informed him that if he had told me of his policy ahead of time, I would have requested a different driver. Since I've already had 3 injections and mask mandates, even in health care facilities, have been completely lifted, and we certainly were social distanced, Over 6' apart, I didn't see the point of a mask. When we pulled up to my home, I took off the mask and set it off to the side. This set him off and he began screaming that I had to take the mask with me. I didn't want it in the first place, so I didn't have a problem leaving it with him. He kept screaming at me and attempted to block my chair from backing down the ramp. Either he moved or my chair moved him and I eventually got free, with him yelling the entire time. As I went around to my front door, he made a phone call screaming that I tried to run him over. He finally left, but not before doing a considerable amount of yelling that I had breathed into the mask and left it there. How someone that germ phobic could be so insane over masks but not carry gloves for a situation such as this is quite beyond my comprehension. Again, if he had informed me about his personal policy demands before loading me into the vehicle, this would all have been avoided. Classy Cabs are very unclassy. read more

Very uncomfortable, very old seats that you cannot get out off, hot does not have proper a/c. the credit card processing machine did not work. kept us in the cap after all day flight, under heavy rain, for over 15 minutes, eventually called their office to charge my card, they claimed my card was a foreign CC and not acceptable!!! it was a Visa Costco, card, eventuaully after argument with the woman on the phone they accepted the card and now I can see on my statement that they have charged 2 TIMES???????????????? I WILL CALL MY CC AND REPRORT THEM. We never use this taxi! read more

Dishonest. Charges way more than ZTrip. At end of trip from airport he pretended he couldn't get the payment info from his phone to the screen in back and asked for cash instead. Then the fare jumped from $82 to $86. ZTrip fares for the same trip are $25 less. Once the meter is supposedly off the fare should not increase. He claimed it was for wait time. When I said the delay in payment was due to his inability to set up payment, not me keeping him waiting the fare mysteriously went back to $82. Do NOT ever use this cab. He was in the line of ZTrip cabs at the airport and until the end I didn't even realize this was not a ZTrip cab. Furious!!! ZERO stars!!! read more

They don't use a meter. The screen is always down. They don't tell you any of this until you're driving. Then want you to give them cash or they call someone and want your credit card over the phone. What a scam!!! read more

NO STARS! Absolutely a rip off. Many of us traveling took taxis from the airport to the hotel. I was the only one charged $77. Everyone else was $40-50 for the same location. Custom amount shouldn't be allowed. This is why less and less people are using taxis. Uber was only $31! read more

This is a complaint specifically about Classy Carb #22. The driver of this cab is reckless, and I would never accept a ride from him/her. I was heading north on Route 28 where the left lane is dedicated to people continuing straight on 28N and the right lane is dedicated to people going across the Highland Park bridge. There is a solid white line separating the 2 lanes as you approach the Highland Park bridge. Classy Cab #22 was traveling in the right lane (the lane for the Highland Park bridge), waited until the very last minute, and then cut in front of someone in the left lane, crossing the solid white line and causing everyone else behind them to slam on their brakes. This is illegal and dangerous. There are way too many accidents on Route 28 and the driver of Classy Cab #22 is going to cause one if they don't start driving legally and safely. This isn't the first time I've seen this cab driving recklessly, so I felt like I needed to file this complaint to warn others. read more

So I understand that it can be a really difficult concept to master... The art of picking someone up for a cab ride. It typically involves 3 steps Step 1- Cab company receives a call Step 2- Cab company answers call and gives a time for wait for a cab driver Step 3. Cab comes and picks up passenger. I would give classy Cab an A+ at step 1. They masterfully answered my phone call within 5 rings. They demonstrated great skill in the first step. Step 2- They said that a cab will be there to pick me up at my desired location within 10 minutes (mind you this is a cold winter day with wind chill temperatures in the sub 0 range). I say great and hang up the phone. At this point I am fairly excited to quickly or at least somewhat quickly get out of the cold outside. 10 minutes goes by... No Cab.... 15 minutes goes by.... No cab.... Uh oh, step 3 is running 5 minutes late. No big deal, i'll just give them another call, maybe something got lost between step 2 and 3 and a phone call can quickly fix it. Again, they nailed step 1 totally answered my phone call, and then assured me that the cab would be there any minute. "it is in the area and dispatched." I thank them again. By this point my fingers are getting so cold it is difficult to operate phone but I am still excited to get out of the cold and get to my destination... 10 more minutes goes by (25 minutes into the "10 minute wait") I call back again. The operator assures me that cab will be there any second. I have no gloves no hat, maybe I should start walking My destination is only 3 or 4 miles away, I start thinking of alternative ways to get myself out of the cold... I walk half a block to the nearest gas station to head inside for shelter... At this point I am about 40 minutes into my 10 minute subarctic wait. Classy cab has my phone number and has assured me that they will call when their driver is getting close. But no call and still no cab. Now I am starting to get a little desperate. At this point it is almost an hour into my wait and very clear that I will not be getting a Classy Cab ride. So to keep things classy at 31 years of age I start asking random people at the gas station for a ride. This feels really great, I feel like I am 15 years old and asking my friend's parents for a ride home from a football game, except I am a grown man, I don't know these people, and they look at me like I might be a murderous hitchhiker. The workers at the gas station watch my shameful attempts to bum a ride. I decide that since this place is keeping me warm, I should probably buy something so I can attempt to keep some shred of dignity. I walk around the store find a nice ice tea that I don't want to buy, take it up to the register and apologize for my actions At this point the awesome worker takes pity on me and agrees to drive me my 4 mile trip for $20... Totally fair price in my opinion. I lock in the deal and off we go to my destination. Classy cab never calls and never shows up.... Way to keep things Classy! read more

Things started out alright, but fell apart quickly. The driver refused to listen to my instructions on how to take me to my apartment. In fact, he DELIBERATELY went the opposite way in an attempt to run up the fee. When I brought this up, he was completely silent and kept on driving. Knowing what he was doing, I told him to let me out. He did--he let me out on the middle of a bridge and refused to give me change for a 20 (though the fee was only 8). NEVER USE THEM. i called them and made a reservation for an airport ride i think 48 hours prior. I needed to go about 33-34 miles from my house to the airport. I calculated rates based on their website and the time I needed picked up 5:45am-- the whole ride would have been 75$. My ride came to 65$, no issues with lateness, or fares, Its very expensive as is everything I have paid for here in Pittsburgh service wise. (note PA has some interesting cab fare rates things they do). My driver was polite and help and got the job done, I was a little nervous but in talking to her I learned cab drivers can kind of pick and choose which rides they pick up. So making a reservation is probably wise, this might explain why service is not as prompt without reservations. Though I know sadly things happen and we cannot all call ahead and make reservations. read more

I used classy cab in the past and was very satisfied. I called ahead, and reserved the service to pick my party up at home, deliver us to the event, then retrieve us from the event. Two previous times, great service. I tried to replicate the service yesterday to go to a beer fest in rankin. Be responsible. They told me they don't take reservations, just call one hour ahead. No car after 15 minutes past scheduled pick up. I called them to learn no car had even responded yet, let alone was en route. We called yellow cab, but the decided to just drive and wife would be designated driver. I will never use these guys again. Neither should you. I had a round trip medical transportation scheduled through my medical insurance for today, 6/24/2019 for 11:00AM. This was a very important Doctors appointment. I can only make a reservation through my medical insurance company. I have no direct contact with Classy Cab. When I called at 11:10AM to find out where my ride was, the insurance representative told me that the transportation reservation was cancelled on Saturday. I made no such call to cancel transportation. These people are idiots. They made this up. Possibly they mixed someone else with me. None the less I never made my doctors appointment. As I write this review there are 3 cars available and it is unbelievable that non of them wanted to take me home. I'm in front of the Fairmont, downtown. After a long day of shopping I decided to take a cab instead of walking home with all my big and heavy bags. When I went and approached the cab drivers to ask who could give me a ride and told them the address one of them replied "I'm not going to move for such a short drive, take the bus" in a very rude manner. I really couldn't believe it! This insident happend at 2:45pm and right know is 3:23pm I'm still here waiting for the bus and he has not move from there. His ignorant self would've made at least an extra $20 more today because he would've been back from taking me home. And this is not the first time this has happened. I did a quote for this ride it was a reasonable quote so I called and everything went well. The driver was very nice, very polite. He arrived on time and the cab was clean. But I was taken the long way around to the airport and while I expected the rate to be a little more than the quote I was not prepared for it to be double. When I emailed the company I got a reply asking for the company and the cab drivers name. I waited a week with no further reply and emailed them again . Once again I got a reply That the management team would call me on Monday. That was September 22 this is not October 13th and I still have not heard from anyone. So my only option is to get the word out about this cab company. My quoted price was $68 I ended up paying $128.00! read more

Do not use Classy Cab. #91 Driver was incredibly rude. This guy pulled up to Amtrak station where there is 1 way in and 1 way out and just shut off his car. When asked to pull up because there was a line of cars behind him, he became belligerent. I don't recommend this company if they hire guys like that. I was just shy of calling the police. read more

It was a freezing day and my Mom, daughter, and I decided to walk the mile from the Warhol to the Mattress Factory. We decided not to walk back to our car, so I called Classy Cab at random, just based on an ad in the phonebook. The cab was prompt, and the driver was very courteous. We mentioned how much we loved walking around and seeing the old buildings in the area, and he gave us a quick rundown of the history of the neighborhood. He had classical music playing softly over the stereo, which was a nice touch. The fare was reasonable, too. I will definitely call these guys again! read more

I called the day before to schedule a 6:30am cab for the next day to the airport. "No problem", they say, "See you tomorrow!" At 6:40am the next day, no one arrived. I called and they said that they had me on the schedule for the following week and couldn't get anyone to me for at least an hour. What?? I ended up taking the bus to the airport. He was friendly and the cab was very clean. The driver called 30 min before pick up and I missed the call. I called back three minutes later and I was very rudely told that we lost the car and was hung up on. We have one out of 4 good experiences with Classy Cab. The worst and most stressful. We were scheduled to be downtown to take the Mega Bus. CC was 15 min late. I called. Instead of telling me they would not get to us on time (integrity) so that we would not miss our connection, they said they would be there in 5 minutes. We called ever 10 minutes until be were literally 15 minutes before schedule departure. We were going to a family affair and we were standing outside in the cold with our suitcases. It was the last of honesty and the lack of compassion on the part of Classy Cab that was so disturbing. Anything but Classy I guarantee. And then, dispatch told us the owner would call. On 11/21 I called for a cab to pick up my 91 yo mother in North Hills to come to Oakland to meet me at work, then we would drive to an upscale Shadyside restaurant where her pastry chef granddaughter was debuting a special dessert. The cab NEVER CAME AND NEVER CALLED. My mother waited an hour; I was kept on hold 14 minutes out of several calls; after the 5th call someone answered and said the cab was coming from the city; traffic etc. Hey, I leave Oakland everyday at rush hour and it NEVER takes an hour to get to North Hills. Classy cab is a joke. I called this company to get a ride home. I was getting some work done on my car so obviously I needed transportation home. I called classy cab when I was 10 minutes away from the garage. Some woman on the phone told me a driver would be in touch with me when he was "close" well I waited outside in the pouring down rain for an hour. I finally called back asking where the cab was and some other woman told me they do not operate in my country and hung up on me. This company is a joke. Shouldn't they have employees working for them who are knowledgeable about the operating areas? I will never even think of using classy cab again.
