I had the pink flamingo and my husband had an excellent crémant. The waiters kept our water glasses full and checked in periodically to see if we wanted refills on the alcohol (we did!). Probably one of the most luxurious low key meals we've had in lower manhattan! It's no wonder celebrities make this place their choice for weekday meals. Susan Sarandon apparently eats here on the regular. We were treated very well since we knew one of the staff, but the service is usually excellent. The menu is diverse and delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of their Mediterranean dishes. We also found the main dishes to be large enough to share with 2 people but the smaller plates add a lot of diversity and interest to your meal. The ambiance is intimate but can be crowded, so expect some higher levels of chatter...but it's NYC, so it's normal. Overall, would love to go back when they reopen in summer 2025! read more

I had a fabulous dining experience here on Friday! My friend and I scored a last minute reservation in the Flamingo room. It is downstairs and you walk through the kitchen to get there. It sort of gives speakeasy vibes?? And the flamingo wallpaper is so cute! I had the pink flamingo cocktail. It was strong and super tasty! It was tart, but not sweet at all. It went well with the meal. To start, we shared the Tuna Carpaccio. It was DELISH! So full of flavor and you get a lot. I thought it was definitely worth the price. For my entree, I had the salmon with verte sauce and a side of cous cous. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce provided a lot of flavor. The cous cous paired well with the salmon, but I think it would have been a bit bland on its own. Overall, I loved the experience and I'll definitely be back! I've been to this spot twice both a while back the first time splitting a lot of dishes and the second time a couple weeks later for Restaurant Week where I avoided said restaurant week to get their outstanding tagine again which is a few bucks less than the RW menu and honestly more worth it. As I went here a while ago, a dish is not on the menu now and I don't have the prices from back then either. The restaurant lists itself as a coastal French bistro with a strong Provençal influence which lends itself to the Mediterranean/Northern African influence to a good amount of the dishes. They are related to a few other restaurants such as Rosemary's and all of them are also very popular among the brunch crowd. The service was friendly and I liked the atmosphere being fancy but casual. I had a glass of rosé one time and I don't think I remember having a drink the other time. The Lamb Tagine with couscous, chermoula, and apricot & almond chutney is currently listed at $52. I would highly recommend getting it even at that price. There is a massive super tender and very well spiced lamb shank inside. The couscous happened to be larger being more the pearl variety found in Israel rather than the smaller version found in Morocco and I much prefer the former as it has a nice bouncy texture and I find it absorbs the flavor of the tagine better. The chermoula which is a spice mix added a good tang to the dish and the chutney was sweet but not overly so and there wasn't too much of it being just a good way of interrupting the lamb in case it gets a bit too rich. I'd honestly go back to order this again and it might be my favorite tagine in the city. The rest of the menu is fine. Also from the Moroccan influence is the Spiced Lamb Brochettes with shabazi yogurt, pickled red onion, and arugula. It is well spiced but a bit pricey but it's partially expected for the area. The Roasted Beet Salad with chicories, horseradish yogurt, toasted almonds, and parmesan is also pretty tasty with a nice mix of flavors to complement the beets and I would recommend it. My least favorite of the current menu offerings we tried is the Crispy Artichokes with green garlic pistou and caper aioli. They come with five pieces and while the spice mixture is nice, it's a bit too lightly seasoned for my liking. The Tiradito of Salmon with basil and lime vinaigrette, watermelon radish, and cilantro was tasty. It came with seven pieces of salmon and the vinaigrette added some nice sourness and it was a fun spin on the traditional tiradito although I don't currently see it on the menu. Possibly it's just a summer thing or something. A person also had a gazpacho which is humorously served in a Ricard pastis bottle and they liked it. This place has been around for a while and is a staple for the area. Outside of the noticeably good albeit expensive tagine, the rest of the menu is pricey but it is a French spot in the Village so it's partially expected and the flavors are unique enough outside of the artichokes that they are pretty much worth it. The service and atmosphere help as well. Low 4/upper 3 outside of the tagine which is an upper 4 and would be a 5 if it wasn't over 50 bucks. read more

Has both indoor and outdoor seating but no heat lamps outdoors (right outside the restaurant) they do have outdoor seating in the street that is covered. Loved the decor, which was cute chic and great for date night, dinner with friends. Not the best for large groups given its seating unless you're sitting outside. Overall for the price, the food was inconsistent. We love some dishes, and we're not fond of others. Favorites: artichokes, artichokes, artichokes. It was delicious and well executed. We also ordered the steak which was cooked to a textbook medium rare. The au poivre was good but the steak was so perfectly seasoned and cooked it didn't add anything. Extensive drink menu which we enjoyed. Not so favorites: baguette was good, but not for $8. the lamb brochettes and amberjack Crudo were a miss. Crudo was missing salt and the fish didn't taste fresh. Overall we spent over $100 for a meal that had more bad dishes than good dishes. read more

It was kind of salty though. The truffle hummus was good, but I would've liked a flatter bowl for it. The fish was great, but it didn't seem worth the price for the portion. Stopped by for a Sunday brunch and was not disappointed! Highly recommend to impress your date or parents. Nomz: I had the avocado toast with a side of bacon. The avocado toast was smaller than your average and the avocado was sliced not smashed so it took more effort to control and eat. However, every bite was absolutely delicious, very flavorful and well seasoned. I split the French toast with my friend and it was fantastic, not overly sweet where you get tired of it. We came to Claudette for a sweet Valentine's evening dinner and, with high expectations, were severely disappointed. When we made the reservation, we were informed that the a la carte menu would be served in addition to the Valentine's Day prix-fixe. The Valentine's prix-fixe was $95pp. We decided, since we were already seated, to make the best of it. $375 later, we left disappointed. While the drinks were delicious and the food was decent (just okay, nothing special), it was (really) nothing special and the portion sizes were lackluster. The service itself: no complaints. But simply shared the cost of the meal and drinks soured our overall experience and we will not be back. *** 4.5 stars *** I had heard so many people raving about the burger here that I could not order anything else - and it did not disappoint. The bun was a bit dry and large so I ended up eating the burger with a fork and knife and it more than made up for the bun. Perfectly cooked and paired with fromager d'affinois, caramelized onions, and truffle aioli - this is perhaps my ideal burger. The rose spritz was light and refreshing; I only wanted one drink but the carafe offered at brunch is a great deal. I also shared the brioche french toast with my friend as a dessert and would recommend doing the same. It's probably too sweet and decadent as a main, but was perfect to finish the meal. They did bring the french toast out within minutes of us ordering then ask for the table as soon as we finished it, which leaves me wondering if they gave us someone else's french toast to get us out of there quickly, but not mad about it. Not great options and portions are very small. $21 hummus is ridiculous! This restaurant is very on the line between a 4 or a 5 for me but just tips over to a 5. We came for brunch on a Sunday and easily got a reservation a day or so prior at a decent time. The interior aesthetic says upscale southern coastal vibes to me. Think, beige and cream. It's very open and there is quite a lot of seating. A nice place to come with a group of 2-4! Also seems very quiet, a good place to have a conversation. Add this as a spot to bring your parents if they are in town visiting. For food, we got the flatbread with the olive tapenade + pistacio tapenade. you can tell the flatbread is house-made and fresh. I absolutely loved it. We also split the french toast and the camembert and eggs. I have to say, I was very impressed with the food. I think it really speaks on the quality of the food when simple dishes are done well and the eggs were some of the best, fluffiest eggs I've had in awhile. When they were delivered to the table I was ready to load up on the S&P. They were so good and well seasoned that I didn't even need to add any! I was shocked. That bite of egg mixed with the creamy cheese on bread was everything I needed on a Sunday morning. My roommate was a huge fan of the french toast. For me it was good but slightly dry and needed more syrup. Still a nice option though. For drinks, my friend got an oat milk latte that she really enjoyed and I got a lychee iced tea. I was not a big fan of my tea and I would not recommend it, especially at $10. The service was great. The manager even came over to greet an check on us at one point. Food was solid but I was a little disappointed that Happy Hour was only available at the bar (had I know, we wouldn't have gone for the 5:15 seating). Appetizers - we ordered the truffle hummus, squash & fig, haricots vert, and brussel sprouts. I really liked the hummus (solid amount and you can definitely taste the truffle) and the brussel sprouts (very crispy and the flavors were great). The squash & fig and haricot verts were ok but didn't really stand out. For my entree, I (as well as three other people in my party) got the bouillabaisse, we all thought it was pretty good. There were generous amount of seafood (large chunk of seabass and also delicious giant prawns) and I really like the bread with aioli that also came with it. Although my one criticism was the lobster & tomato broth was a bit on the salty side. Let me start by saying that sometimes tik tok gets it wrong and sometimes they get it right . In this case I couldn't be more grateful that tik tok was CORRECT . I found this place by way of creator scot Louie and boy does he have the phenomenal taste . I came here on my second day in New York and after my walk to the restaurant I was absolutely famished . The menu was quick and easy to read with authentic , delicious flavor filled options . The interior : ambiance was absolutely remarkable as was the service . We arrived at 9 or 9:15 and were sat immediately . we were also told that we would have to order quickly because the kitchen wad closing but I still didn't even feel rushed . We ordered the crispy artichokes which were crispy on top and kind of juicy on the bottom . A new experience that I have grown quite fond of . I also got the short rib fuscilli which was extremely rich and filling . I did complain that I was tired of establishments not having high quality pasta choices earlier and Claudette's is the exact reason why I was proven that great restaurants are an experience and always worth the money. Perfect proportions , perfect quality , perfect taste . I also got the lemonade which wasn't overly sweet and just tart enough . Just the way lemonades are supposed to be made . From the moment we sat down we had attentive and friendly service who were able to accommodate our larger group (6 people) I had the steak as my entree and it was phenomenal. I lowkey almost gave up on brunch bc the last two places I went were lowkey overwhelming + just honestly places you should go to for din instead BUT Claudette led me back to my brunch ways We got the avo toast, wild mushroom omelette, Camembert and eggs, pommes frites, and Provençal olive oil flatbread. My avo toast was SO GOOD. Lowkey was skeptical at first bc the avo wasn't really smashed up and looked hard and cold, but the seasonings made everything so good -- it was tangy and a little sour and little spicy and really creamy all at the same time, and the poached egg tied everything together. Pommes frites were excellent and the dijonaisse sauce was perffff wish they gave a little more tho. Provençal flatbread was good too -- at first we thought it was lowkey just naan but it was honestly really firm yet chewy and the olive oil was top tier. A perfect dinner during this pandemic. The staff is following every rule set by the CDC. Tables are 6 feet apart. The staff all wearing masks and gloves. I came to Claudette for brunch with a 12pm reservation on a Sunday. After ordering the french toast, I was informed that they were out of french toast. I don't understand how a restaurant could be out of a staple brunch item at noon on a Sunday. I then ordered the Camembert Eggs, which were bland and came with a soggy baguette. My brunch-mate ordered the Croque Monsieur, which they said was only okay. The service was overly attentive to the point where it was annoying. I chose Claudette as the venue for a Board Dinner in August. Claudette in general is a vibe, chic, Parisian summer vibes - but the flamingo room in the basement is outstanding. Feels very high end as it's excellently decorated, but also quite hip in that you need to go down a private staircase in the kitchen. I worked with Roxanne to handle my event - by far the easiest time I've had organizing an event. Very communicative, responsive and detail oriented. Bonus points for printing out personalized menus and accommodating the vegan in my group with no fuss. The menu was inventive, creative, fresh and delicious. read more
