This is a neighborhood favorite of mine. The space feels quaint and classy, the service is always on-point, and the food is solid. I generally love this place for dinner, but found the lunch options quite limited, and feel that there could be healthier vegetarian options in the lunch menu. At night, the vegetable tagine is a standout, but in the day this isn't available. The sweet potato falafel, while delicious, is deep fried and very heavy. Served with fries, it certainly doesn't make for a healthy meal, although they do have some healthier sides to supplement, like hte delicious watermelon feta salad or the unique truffle hummus. The artichokes here are also delicious (and decadent), and they have several other great salads on their menu. I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner as a vegetarian, but for lunch it's a bit more disappointing. read more

Claudette's is me and husband's new go to restaurant for lunch! The staff and management is always pleasant and everyone is always ready to help out in any way they can. The food is amazing! Each table is served greek olives in a seashell. The fish sandwich is fantastic and the beer batter on the fish is very flavorful. The side green salad with pickled onions and radish is very good. My husband gets the lamb burger which he says is very authentic and very tasty! read more

Love this place!! It looks like a French bistro, right out of Paris! They take Covid precautions seriously- take your temperature when you arrive and ask a couple questions about travel. They recently set up individual boxes for diners to sit in, to survive the winter outdoor dining. We always get the same thing, it's kind of our ritual. I have the beef burger and he has the lamb burger we split! They are both so delicious and have a Mediterranean flavor. The fries are well seasoned and delightful. I have been wanting to come to this restaurant for a while. The location is great but overall was dissatisfied with my experience. I had a 2:30 reservation and was told the kitchen was closing at 2:45/3pm. When I had called to make the initial reservation this information was not disclosed. I had no issues with our waiter service. However, I found the portion size to be very small. I ordered the chopped salad and added chicken. For an additional $10, the chicken was small. Also, for a chopped salad, the lettuce was not chopped. My friends ordered the lettuce eggs benedict, I was not impressed. The presentation did not look like the other photos. I have been terribly remiss by not reviewing Claudette sooner (pre-Covid visit). I have such fond memories of an establishment that knows how to pull out all the stops and enable you to fall in love with them. I wish I had more Claudette dining experiences under my belt but as I write this review, I hope it will persuade you to visit. On this glorious summer evening, we dined semi outdoor meaning not exactly on the sidewalk but near the open window and the vibe could not be better: quaint, mature and just gorgeous. Perfect for date night or with friends. We kept it simple. My meal was accompanied by a crisp glass of Rose--delicious! We ordered the Gazpacho soup and their Roasted Organic Chicken. The soup was infused with dill, topped with rustic, homemade croutons and very tasty. The chicken, as the waiter described it, was prepared/brined in advance. When it arrived, it was served with Provencal vegetables on a wooden board. The chicken was tender, simple but with a lot of flavor. Our experience was wonderful and I am so looking forward to returning. They have Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m daily as well as brunch. Claudette is a super cute spot that I almost forgot I wanted to visit until I joined some friends here for brunch the other day! After visiting, though, I'd certainly be willing to come back again soon. I was hungry after not really having eaten dinner the night before, and was very pleased with the brunch portion sizes here! I got the house made granola as well as the salmon & eggs. Of the two dishes, surprisingly the house made granola ended up being my favorite. It was a great mix of salty and sweet, and I'd get this granola on its own if Claudette ever packaged/sold it! The salmon & eggs was also good, although the eggs were more-so a highlight here than the salmon, which seemed a bit on the dry side. But nevertheless, a well balanced dish overall! Claudette transported us to Paris. The ambiance was very fitting -- a checkered blue tablecloth with fancy silverware and heat lamps on all sides. We were both going to get French Toast, when a lady next to us on her maybe 4th glass of wine, told us the Special Burger of the day was great. Fun atmosphere. My friend decided to order that, saying it was fantastic. This Special Burger and French Toast was THE BEST burger and french toast we've ever had. The French fries tasted like Lays Masala Magic chips and the sauce was like a paprika aioli. The French Toast made with Brioche bread was *chef's kiss* and was glazed with cinnamon cream cheese and maple syrup. It was topped with walnuts, strawberries, très bon raspberries, bananas, and powdered sugar. One bad server can ruin the whole experience. A nice restaurant with overall good service, except for this one server who was insulting and rude. For the price you pay, you deserve better service. This one older bald white man with small round glasses and a white goatie, is so arrogant that he forgets this is New York, not Paris. He told us we can't order dessert because they have other people waiting for the table. The rudeness in which he told us that, without giving us any indication that we were on a time restrain, made us feel so insulted. We went here for lunch with friends a few weeks ago on a very hot day and sat outside in their patio seating. It was unfortunately a very uncomfortable experience due to extremely slow service and the weather - the patio seating turned into a greenhouse and there was no air conditioning or ventilation. We were sweating the entire time and it didn't help that we had to wait an hour for our food. The food itself was quite mediocre and didn't really make the wait worth it. We tried the Omelet and Shakshouka, which were both just fine and nothing to write home about. We honestly just couldn't wait to pay the bill and get out of there. This is an Alec Baldwin haunt and can be spotted from time to time. I ate her on a Sunday night and the place was modestly busy. We ate outside and were very comfortable with a private heater and a room to ourselves. The fried artichokes were great, crisp with a citrus sauce. The portion size was great to share. The Claudette burger was well constructed and featured a triple creme cheese , caramelized sherried onions snd was cooked perfectly medium rare served with piping hot fresh cut fries. Was brought here for a drink post shenanigans and we tried some of the eats too. The place is quaint and beautifully decorated. Great spot to get together with some friends and good fare. It was really warm on the interior, and though today was chilly, we decided to sit outside because the sun was out and we were initially hot from walking. We got a few looks by mischievous/curious folks passing by. We were lucky enough to enjoy happy hour: I tried the Ricard Spritz which was unique and tasty. Flavors of anise and peach roamed the glass. My friend had the Morrocaine. Both drinks were great! Shortly after ordering the hors d'oeuvres came out and we shared pommes frites (french fries) which came with a smokey orange-colored dip. The fries seemed to have some autumnal flavors attached. Reminded me of pumpkin or a squash. The sweet potato falafel is a small plate but that's because it doesn't need to be larger. The two pieces satisfy. It comes with harissa, greens, and jalapeño slices. It's quite spicy on it's own. If you want to dim it down, I tasted a piece with a small dollop of the truffle hummus on top. Perfect combination of flavors! Definitely go for it! Post noshing and drinks, my friend ordered a glass of wine for added warmth as it began to get chillier. She had something with a G, don't recall the type. She loved that too. Our server Kelsey was amazing! She was wonderful with recommending flavors and foods and explained that the pêche de la crème doesn't have any dairy inside it for my dieting needs. The prices here are a bit on the high end, so expect to spend at least $33pp not including tip if ordering drinks and eats. Super cute place, south of France vibes. Love the wait staff's yellow aprons and kind of wish they were overalls that I could wear myself! Nice wine list. Ordered the garden niçoise, was on the salty side but I like that. My friend ordered the steak which came with nothing so she also ordered two vegetable based sides. I had the chicken, which was fine, not remarkable. The sides for the chicken were also very salty and this time a bit too much. Came here for dinner with family and friends after reading some good reviews but sadly, it didn't live up to the hype. The food is good but the portions are small for the price you pay. The overall space is nice, if a little cramped and the hostesses were very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the servers we had were not that. They were very pushy and seemed to be in a rush even though to restaurant wasn't busy. Throwing our food down and quickly walking away not asking if everything looked right or who's dish was who's. They put the coffee we ordered down so forcefully that it spilled out and all into the saucer and onto the table. Disappointed! I brought a party of 6 to celebrate my birthday on a recent Saturday evening. I have been coming to Claudette for years and was excited to celebrate here. But the entire evening was a mess. First the decibel level was so loud that we could barely speak to each other. Cocktails for 6 took forever and were served 3 at a time, to the wrong people. We ordered wine and it also took forever to come, without wine glasses! It was served in brandy snifters. The food, when it finally came, was good but the ambiance and service were so poor that by that time the food could not make up for it. Really sad overall. Not what it used to be. read more

Came here for lunch on a weekday and we were seated and taken care of very quickly. The inside offers a bright atmosphere and it's quiet enough for good conversation. The interior was also nicely decorated for the holidays in early December. We ordered le pain tunisien which came with hummmus and the hummus was so good! I usually don't like hummus (I'll eat it but won't really go out of my way to get it), but from some recommendations, I decided to get this dish and was very pleased. We also got the sweet potato falafel but unfortunately it was too spicy for my liking. From some side conversation, I heard that they do have private party seating space downstairs so this is a good option to look into for any special events you might be having. For my main dish I got the grilled branzino and while the fish and sauce were delicious and complimented each other very well, I was disappointed that a grain didn't come with the dish. After eating the fish and the tomatoes and sauce, I was still very hungry and wish there was something to pair with the fish like rice or bread or even potatoes. Someone from my table got the crispy hake sandwich and that came with a bun and fries. I wish there was just something more with the branzino. Overall it was a positive experience but I'd have to give it a 3.5-4. It quite pricey for the dishes and probably overpriced for that matter. I'm not sure if I'd return for lunch again but perhaps I'll give brunch or just dessert a shot if I'm out and looking for something fancier. read more

I came here for brunch with my friend before going out to lunch with another friend. That being the case, I thought I could order something that I could save for later. Space : Restaurant wasn't very big inside but they did have outdoor seating, so at least it could accommodate more people if needed. Tables inside were a little too close together for my liking. Felt like I had to speak very softly or the table next to me would be all in my conversation. Otherwise, very nicely decorated and clean. Staff : Very nice and accommodating. Don't have anything negative to say about them. Food : Now here, no so nice things to say. As mentioned above, I was doing lunch right after brunch with another friend, so therefore, I wanted to pick something that would be very light, at the same time, pack it and save it for later. I went for the Pastry Basket ($18). For that price, I was expecting six full-size pastries, as I've seen on other pics from Yelp. That's not what I got. The pastries were so tiny, they were the size of my finger. I even ask the waiter if I was brought the correct order, and he said yes. I asked for $18, that's what given? He again said yes, and he apologized as he does not control the portion sizes. I didn't want to complain in front of my friend, so I let it go. If I'd known, I would have just ordered something else. But that not that end of it, my friend got the Steak Frites ($38), medium well. That thing was mostly raw. Of course, my friend didn't want to complain (which is why I didn't), and just ate around what was not raw, which was a third of the steak. Money wasted -_- So in the end, would I recommend this place? Absolutely not. Way over hyped. Don't waste your money for IG pics.
