Best seafood boil ever! The baked oysters are seriously awesome and the drinks come in fun little pouches. All the seafood is always consistency cooked perfectly and seasoned right. The kind crab was so tender and delicious this place is worth every penny. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. I've celebrated a few birthdays here with family and big parties and they were very accommodating. You will not be disappointed
I was in the area and I passed by this billboard for their happy hour deal. I had to check it out. My friend and I went inside to inquire about it and the person working said that it will be honored all night. So, we were happy as there was no cut off time that was on the sign. We got seated right away and we took our time ordering. Once we ordered everything came out but some took awhile. Overall, it was very filling. If you come for the happy hour meal, this is a great deal.
Sub-par in every way. Ate there a couple years ago and it was great so my daughter took me there for Father's Day. I got lobster which was fine, but the clams were inedible because they were overcooked. Even though there were only three tables with customers, I had to ask several times for a second pair of sheers. The waiter finally brought them after I was done eating. Also, there was only one cracker and no picks at the table. They were generous enough to give us two plastic forks though. My daughter was having crab legs and we had to share one set of utensils. How do you run a restaurant like that?
Th service was good. I ordered the alligator and chargrilled oysters. Oysters were good, alligator was tiny and didn't taste like much. My friend ordered the lobster roll. It has plenty lobster and tasted okay. The shrimp ehh I'd give the shrimp a 2/5. I can't remember which adult Capri Sun I had but it was good and strong. Ambiance was cool, I liked the music they played. It was pretty dark inside though. You can't really tell if it's open from the outside.
Came here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and it was actually a very nice experience. The service was great; the ambiance was a little loud but not chaotic. I ordered their capri sun drinks which was their twisted peach ice tea. It was not too sweet and the right amount of strong liquor. When I checked in, I was able to order a free side so I ordered their Brussel sprouts to enjoy with half a pound of shrimp and half a pound of mussels with their claw daddy special sauce (mild). I was a bit disappointed that the food came in a small pot instead of in a bag, I feel like the bag preserves the sauce and the flavor. The mussels and shrimp was very good but the Brussels sprouts were definitely the winner of the whole meal. They were roasted and just melted in your mouth. I would return if I'm in the area.
I've been here many times and the service is always great and the waiters are always friendly. The happy hour appetizers are great and the drinks are usually strong. However I came on a Tuesday night and I had one of my worst experiences dining out in a very long time. We ordered some drinks and appetizers for happy hour. I ordered a cocktail and my friend ordered a mock tail When the drinks came out, after all our food mind you, they were both mock tails. We spoke with our waitress tiamara, she began to argue with us. I've never had a waitress argue and gaslight me about what I ordered and basically made up a conversation in her head about what happened. She insisted that she asked us whether or not they were both mock tails but she never asked us about that. I've been going here for years, before and during covid. But If this is how the wait staff is trained to handle a situation like this, then I will not return to this establishment. It would've been so easy to not ruin someone's dinner by arguing with us. The service here used to be great and the food was great too. But it has clearly gone down hill. Tiamara was whispering to all the waiters and no one came to check on us and she made our experience super awkward the rest of the night, The food was good and they oysters are fresh, I guess. But if you want to be yelled at and gaslit for your order this is the place to go. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area where you don't have to be yelled at for your waiter messing up your drink order.
So I really, really, really was craving oysters and ended up last week at Claw Daddy's for happy hour. I started with a Moscow Mule capri sun drink that was on the menu, grilled oysters and the crawfish queso. The oysters were a little disappointing in their lack of meatiness... not sure if that was because they were offered at happy hour? The crawfish queso was better, but needed some spice, and the drink was too sweet. So this sexy guy seated near me at the bar suggested that I have an off-the-menu drink, which I cannot remember the name of because he bought me several lol, but it and our bartender, Ryan were priceless. The sexy silver fox buys me wings, and gator bites... enjoyable, crispy wings. I tried to like the alligator bites, but I wasn't excited and decided that they were just okay. The happy hour vibe was chill, and I enjoyed the off-the-menu drink, but I was not impressed by the oysters, which is the main reason I went to Claw Daddy's. I am hoping that the rest of the menu is as great as those chicken wings.
Arrived on a Sunday with a reservation at around 12:30PM, and the entire restaurant was empty. More guests started arriving later. We kicked off with some drinks, all pretty tasty, and in those adult Caprisun like pouches! We then ordered crawfish poppers, some Brussel sprouts, grilled oysters, and fresh oysters. The oysters tasted fresh, and the grilled oysters were delicious! They don't compare to if you were to get them in New Orleans, but I still recommend them as they're so different from fresh ones, especially if you're not a big fan of the texture of fresh oysters. We continued with crab legs, shrimp, and mussels with the claw daddy's sauce in mild and medium. We added some andouille sausage as well, but I'd say for the 7 of us, it was pretty filling! In terms of sauce, I feel I've definitely had some tastier ones, but I'd still come back to Claw Daddy's for sure!
We recently dined at the Manhattan location of this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! I had previously enjoyed the Brooklyn location, so I wanted my sister to experience it too. Though we intended to return to Brooklyn, a mix-up led us to Manhattan, and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed every dish we ordered, from the chicken for the meat-eater to my favorite grilled oysters, to the boil, fries, and drinks. We ordered quite a bit and took home leftovers. Our server, Segundo, was delightful and very helpful with our choices. There were three of us, and we waited briefly at the bar for the last person to join us. Shoutout to the pleasant bartender! The manager, Tony, greeted everyone at the door, making us feel comfortable as soon as we entered. We will definitely return because the food and staff made it a lovely night. I had the claw boil with the Claw Daddy sauce, mildly spicy--it was so good! The garlic pasta was delicious, and I could eat it every day. The mac and crawfish was creamy and flavorful. The Cajun fries were seasoned to perfection, and the crawfish queso dip is a must-try! My sister enjoyed her chicken wings and the creole shrimp and chicken jambalaya. Just a tip: eat while hot, as it can taste salty when cold. Reheating and having a cold drink works wonders! I highly recommend this restaurant and will visit both locations whenever I crave grilled oysters and claw boils. The music playlist was nice; I'd love to hear some Afro beats next time. The place got super busy after we arrived, but the service remained on point and pleasant. Tip: Check in on Yelp while there to get a free side dish of your choice--super cool, though they only allow one per table.
My experience at Claw Daddy's doesn't really change as it's been consistent each visit. Pretty solid restaurant option for quality seafood and a great happy hour! The wait time can be really ridiculous and they have a weird system/ rule for notifying you when your table is ready. (I've waited 45mins, just to lose my table within 10 mins of getting the availability text --- SO I ADVISE STAYING VERY CLOSE.) Our bartender was the best and did a great job handling the busy bar. Claw Daddy's was great! From service to the food, we really enjoyed ourselves. I came here one night with a friend, but it's definitely a great place for a nice date night. The ambiance was sexy and playlist was definitely hitting. We were heading out later, so we opted for pasta and crab bites as an appetizer! The pastalaya was pretty delicious. Creamy with bow tie noodles with chicken, shrimp, sausage, and crawfish. I will definitely be back to try their seafood boils. read more
Amazing service! Quick and fresh seafood. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture a picture of the seafood boil but It came with potatoes, corn, head on shrimp, and snow crabs legs it was $46 for about 2 lbs. very worth it. I did the mild garlic sauce and boy it was spicy but very very flavorful. I would recommend this place hands down. read more

I went for a friends birthday and the four of us got the claw feast with the claw daddy special sauce. Unfortunately claw fish wasn't in season so we didn't get to try it, but the shrimp and snow crab legs were delicious. The sauce went well with everything especially the corn. The waiters checked up on us only once, but when we had requests they fulfilled it with a smile. The menu states that they automatically add 18% gratitude for tables of 6 or more, however, it was automatically added for our table of 4. We made reservations, however, they will not seat you unless all members are present. The portion for the claw feast was also enough to fill 4 people. They give bibs and gloves to eat which is very nice especially knowing how messy it could get eating from a table with sauce and food in the middle. read more

My favorite seafood boil!!! Been here so many times. Happy hour includes super strong drinks at a great price, dollar oysters, 1.50 grilled oysters, which are all so worth it. I've been to the Brooklyn location before and checked out the LES location on Orchard Street tonight with a friend. While we waited for our table, we ordered cajun fries and a dozen raw oysters to enjoy in the lounge on the second floor. Of course, we also had their adult Capri Sun. Their adult Capri Sun menu is seasonal, which was nice because I went to the Brooklyn one a few months ago and it was a different menu. Got the Blue Bayou (winter-apple infused soju with lemon & blueberry compote) and thought it was too sweet. I'm also not sure how much alcohol there was in it. We didn't have to wait long for our table to ready. My friend and I shared a lobster and shrimp boil with garlic butter sauce and medium spice level, and got garlic bread on the side. Because it was over 2 pounds, the corn and potatoes came with it. I wasn't impressed by the garlic butter sauce or the shrimp, but enjoyed the lobster. This review is for their delivery/take out: The snow crab legs tasted old,the texture was especially stringy and the color ? A questionable grey. I definitely didn't want to risk falling ill and I ended up tossing it. To add insult to injury, the lobster bisque I ordered had one measly piece of lobster. The order of 1lb crab leg boil didn't even include a potato or corn- I don't know if that's a new feature at Claw Daddy's. Complete waste of money. I won't order again. read more

Great Service! I had my table reserved for me and my father. Which they sat us by the window and was a great spot! The food was amazing and the workers were amazing too. My server explained the menu to me so it was easy to order. Only thing the music was really loud so I felt I was yelling but besides that everything was great. read more

The best seafood boil in nyc. Trust me I've tried them all. They have the same consistent taste and spicy level. Love the $1 wings and pouch drinks could use little more alcohol more like a juice pouch lol. Overall amazing. Service always very attentive. Ambiance great for afterwork happy hour or large parties can be accommodated. read more

Even worse than the first time. Went again for the in-house experience. Came here during happy hour Friday. Almost full, but not packed. Flavor of sauce pretty basic Since the crawfish was not at all spicy last time, went for the insane spicy level today. Not sure if the managers have been reading the reviews here and upped the spicy level or if the cooks are just entirely inconsistent... but today, insane was indeed spicy. Almost unbearable. My face was sweating and I even felt lightheaded from the spiciness. So, honestly, I don't know what to to say about the spiciness level. Most likely inconsistent which is annoying. Quality: went way down from the previous experience. Most of the crawfish were field run (small) size with a few select size (medium). The crawfish were also not very fresh and/or overcooked. Most, if not all, of the shells were very soft, and the flesh literally broke apart like overcooked fish. Service: poor. Our orders were wrong multiple times throughout the course of our dining experience. Drinks came out almost as the same time as our food . My drink order got mixed up with another person's. One order didn't have potatoes. I ordered crawfish but they brought out crab legs so I had to wait while everyone else was devouring their food . Most likely understaffed for happy hour but also too many mixups occurring to be acceptable. Bottom line: the lone star for the adult Capri suns which tasted fantastic. Absolutely will not be back. There are way better options out there folks. read more

This place is good with a bar in the middle. It's fit for a group of people gathering here. The food here taste good, and I would recommend the organic flavor! We ordered two different sauce, organic and claw daddy's. Personally I think the claw daddy's sauce has a heavy garlic taste, however, the original one is perfect for me. And the spicy level is ok. We chose medium which is quite acceptable. The food here is ok. I would recommend king crab legs and shrimps! Very delicious. However, the crawfish is not very good. I won't order it next time and the clam is also not very good. The service here is good. They help us change the utilities, such as, gloves and plates for twice and they react fast. In genera, it's a good experience. I will be here next time and would like to recommend this place to my friends. read more
Hmm this place is decent. Tried the mac and cheese with crawfish- mac and cheese is alwaaaays good. Can't ever go wrong with this. Couldn't really taste the crawfish though. Had a mix of king crab legs, clams, shrimp, potatoes, sausages, and corn. The king crab legs were good and the shrimps were on the bigger size so all the work peeling it was worth the effort. The clam shells are huge but that's the problem- they take up so much weight for not that much meat. The corn was corn, the potatoes tasted like potatoes, and the sausages were sausages. Not much to comment there. The place is loud so if you're looking for a good conversation this isn't the place for that. I got the claw daddy sauce special and it was good. The reason why I'm giving this place three stars is because I do feel it's overpriced. It's a fun experience with the gloves and all that but honestly this stuff is petty easy to make on your own. read more

Not too thrilled about the hype of this place?? I really came for the cute Adult CapriSuns, but even those were a bit watered down. The wait was extremely long, the crab legs were good though, but other than that, the space is smaller, and if you're out there late on a weekend with your kids, jump RIGHT into a cab because the party goers outside are super rambunctious (mix that with liquor, and ur nite is blown) read more
This Lower East Side seafood restaurant comprises a wide dining area with few communal tables in the middle, while the Mezzanine serves as plush waiting area-cum-cocktail lounge where they serve light bites and cocktails while you wait for a table, which could be a long wait if you did not reserve ahead! if you're not ravenous, light snack is somewhat adequate. For the main entree, we ordered Snow crabs and Shrimps Combo for two people with Corns and potatoes served with plastic hand gloves and bibs. It was not as messy as I might have anticipated. This place is definitely ideal for groups but probably not romantic enough for date night. read more

I arrived about 30 minutes before they reopened at 5pm for dinner. The host was asking about reservations and I said oh i hope i can be seated because I had no reservations. A young lady behind stated she comes often alone and one time she had to wait 45 minutes. So when the hostess seated me right away i was delighted. Placed my order and sat and waited. The waiter either forgot my order, didnt enter it or added it to someone elses tab. Fine no problem; he took my order again. Drink (the fairytale which was good) had came and soon after my crablegs, corn & potatoes did too. The potatoes and corn was hot however the crabs were not. I ate anyway making the best of it. Also not no utensils(to cut the potatoes) or a bucket to dumb the shell in was provided. Still continued to eat even ordered a 2nd drink JUST A DREAM which came once i had finished eating. So someone comes to the table to ask of IM OK. I guess wanting the table. I let hime know I ordered another drink. The waiter looked confused. Im just like goodness he has to do better. Idk if he is new or not but because I am a lover of seafood and the young lady mentioned she comes often I will give it another try in the future. However today I was not impressed with Claw Daddys. Claw Daddy's offers great seafood at a reasonable price. It's spacious and can easily accommodate a large group. Probably not the best place to take a date to since eating here can get a little messy. Try to make a reservation before going since Claw Daddy's gets packed. The adult caprisuns are not only cute but also very delicious. Their grilled oysters give me New Orleans flashbacks, which is always a good thing. All of their seafood tastes fresh and packs a lot of flavor. If possible, try to make it to their happy hour from 5:00 - 7:30pm. The have $1 oysters and good drink deals. read more
Came here today because I left work and had the craving for their bomb happy hour special and so happy I came. The hosts at the front were very welcoming and so sweet the one who sat me nails was fire, and she was genuinely nice you can tell. My server Veronica was very attentive & honestly I enjoyed everything except the Brussels sprouts they were on the lil burnt side. ( Maybe the cook was having a bad day or I got spoiled by the other location in Brooklyn because these are my fave go to and was disappointed) I'm happy Veronica took them back and asked if I wanted a new batch but I didn't want to be disappointed again so I just let it be. The grilled oysters are to die for and Veronica changed my life when she asked if I wanted hot sauce for them...this was a game changer I wanted to order a dozen more but that would have just been greedy lol they have boils but I'm not a fan of their sauce sadly I've been a go hard for the boils sauce and crab legs and haven't had any sauce that can touch it ever since. Maybe I'll try the garlic butter one of these days. To each his own. You gotta get the Adult Caprisuns this is honestly a game changer they sneak up on you so if you a drinker I say don't do more than two or three lol I did the froze & the Georgia peach loved them both. read more
My friend and I happened to stumble in here during their happy hour (check it out!!) $7.50 adult Capri suns (YES-- ADULT CAPRI SUNS! -- you won this millennial over with that 90s kid nostalgic stuff) which are usually $10. There are several different flavors, so try them out! $1 oyster and wings, $1.50 grilled oysters and clams We ordered some grilled oyster (they were awesome! Cooked perfect, flavorful, and good amount of meat in the oyster). We also got the buttery garlic shrimp appetizer (the sauce they bake it in is delicious - super buttery and lots of garlic which is A++ in my book!) The last item we ordered was the Spicy Southern Deviled Eggs which weren't terrible but they were nothing to write home about; I'd skip them the next go around. Went for the Claw Feast and let me tell you ... we feasted!!! Recommendation: If your attending the feast, it is always best to make a reservation, all your party should be there and be On Time People! Service: Got there on time for our reservation was greeted by a friendly face , seated and greeted by our friendly server Carlos. He was cheerful and gave you just enough space to view the menu and without hovering, answered all our questions, made recommendations and introduced us to Soju Vodka, sooo smooth. Thanks Carlos! Food: The gist of the feast is 35 per person, 4 person minimum and you get a hot, smothered batch of seafood, shrimp, clams, sausages, snow crab legs, potatoes, corn and bread, yes ppl bread to sop up that sauce. we had the claw daddy sauce, which is a mix of all the sauces, you tasted a hint of everything and blended great with the crab. My review is definitely overdue. Dined here for my friends birthday in July. Started with some happy hour specials of dollar grilled clams and oysters (can't beat that), wings, and crab cake fritters. I enjoyed the grilled oysters the best. I shared the seafood boil of snow crab legs & crawfish. The crab legs were nice and sweet. I had better and cleaner crawfish. My other two friends shared the shrimp po boy sandwich (not pictured), they enjoyed it. We all had the adult Capri drink. First time drinking Soju, I definitely like it. Overall had a great time. The Boil was closed for lunch services so my party and I came to Claw Daddy's which was in the area and prices seemed comparable. It was happy hour so we got a dozen $1 oysters to start. These were pretty good although shucked pretty poorly as I found quite a few pieces of shell in my oysters. For their Louisiana Boil, my friends and I shared a 2lb combo (comes with potato and corn) of shrimp and king crab legs with medium spicy Clawdaddy's Special sauce and an additional pound of shrimp with mild garlic butter sauce. I wasn't a fan of either sauces unfortunately. The garlic butter tasted more like a Cajun sauce and the Claw Daddy's Special was too sweet. I also didn't like how all the garlic pieces were cute huge but completely raw in the sauce giving a really pungent an spicy taste when you bite into them. The freshness of the shrimp varied, some of the heads were sweet but some were sour. The king crab legs were huge and meaty, I recommend trying this. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with Claw Daddy's. The Boil is the one to go for Cajun seafood so not sure if I'll be returning to Claw Daddy's. read more

Came to visit New York and I saw a video about this place on FB. My bf and I are from the Los Angeles area so we are used to boiling crab. It is basically the same concept but this one is a feast! We did the crawfish lunch thing where its $35/person and you get a mountain of food. You can also get adult capri sun! They provide gloves for you as well which is great! They get busy really quick so we recommend to get a reservation! The flavors are there and the bread.. yum! I dipped the bread in the sauce so it tasted so much better :) read more

Took my son here for his 13th birthday, we love seafood! Ordered 3lbs of shrimp and 2 lbs of snow crab legs which included corn on the cob and potatoes with their cajun sauce. The cajun sauce you can get mild, medium or hot. You get the plastic bibs & gloves. You eat with your hands which was so fun! They have happy hour and serve Soju, which is like Saki... We enjoyed the food and the adult caprisun's were cool! read more

Highly highly recommend everyone come here once and do the seafood boil! It's a ton of fun and the whole table participates, getting a bib, gloves, tools, and everything. We did the special, which is a great deal at $40 per person and you get a ton of crab legs, shrimp, and clams, along with carrots and potatoes. We all had to agree on spices and spiciness, and we did mild Cajun. After an anxious wait, they finally brought the biggest pile of seafood I've ever seen. I loved the sauce and the crab legs were delicious! Shrimp was great too, and the side of garlic bread was a good filler food (all the seafood is surprisingly light). The experience is so fun and you really have to work to get your food! 10/10 would go again. read more
Came here for the Claw Feast ($35 per person). It is not all you can eat, but you will wish it was. If you have seen the Claw Feast poster, it is even more picturesque in person. It was great to eat and experience, while the Feast is the best bang for buck, at $35 plus drinks, taxes, and tips, it can add up. Good: -Claw Feast portion is big enough to feed four people -4 person minimum needed for Claw Feast RSVP -The portions and contents were plentiful, no tiny seafood here -The shrimp were large and juicy -The snow crab legs were meaty and succulent -The clams were a great size too -The corn cobs were juicy -The sausage were plentiful too, and had a nice kick of spice -Spiked Lemonade -I liked the whole vibe/concept that invites for camaraderie as you literally eat a pile food together -Try the Claw Daddy Special sauce (it is a mix of all the sauces together) -Medium spice level is great if you want a little kick but not an alarm fire in your mouth Bad: -Claw Feast comes with one order of bread, another order is $2 more -I felt the Claw Feast pot had just a few too many crawfish, maybe it's me but I rather have less of that and more of everything else -2 hour limit to sit at your table, is strange but the demand must be high for seating -Reservations are hard to come by, be prepared to wait awhile (weeks) for availability read more

Yes. The last time I had the feast it was 3 people dining but we still paid the 4 people price. Things may have changed but I suggest giving a call in advance.

Yes there is a regular menu so you can order individual items like the clams and oysters raw or grilled, different sides like Mac and cheese etc and do the shrimp, clams, crab by the pound as well. Each pound of the seafood with the different sauces…
Are grilled oysters served other than happy hour? If so how much?
