It was time to enjoy some CRAWFISH and boy did we enjoy it! It was juicy, thick, and had the perfect level of spice (we had the original cajun with medium spice). The sauce is irresistible! My experience at Claw Daddy's doesn't really change as it's been consistent each visit. Pretty solid restaurant option for quality seafood and a great happy hour! The wait time can be really ridiculous and they have a weird system/ rule for notifying you when your table is ready. I went for a friends birthday and the four of us got the claw feast with the claw daddy special sauce. Unfortunately claw fish wasn't in season so we didn't get to try it, but the shrimp and snow crab legs were delicious. The sauce went well with everything especially the corn. I give it 3 stars only because the staff didn't acknowledge that it was my birthday even though I mentioned it 3 times. The doorman/Host told us when we checked-in that we only have 90 minutes.... Sorry but it leaves a bad taste when you tell a reservation they have a limit amount of time to eat.... You should only say that to walk-ins. While we waited for our table, we ordered cajun fries and a dozen raw oysters to enjoy in the lounge on the second floor. Of course, we also had their adult Capri Sun. Flavor of sauce pretty basic Since the crawfish was not at all spicy last time, went for the insane spicy level today. My face was sweating and I even felt lightheaded from the spiciness. So, honestly, I don't know what to to say about the spiciness level. Most likely inconsistent which is annoying. Quality: went way down from the previous experience. Most of the crawfish were field run (small) size with a few select size (medium). The crawfish were also not very fresh and/or overcooked. Most, if not all, of the shells were very soft, and the flesh literally broke apart like overcooked fish. Service: poor. Our orders were wrong multiple times throughout the course of our dining experience. Drinks came out almost as the same time as our food . My drink order got mixed up with another person's. One order didn't have potatoes. I ordered crawfish but they brought out crab legs so I had to wait while everyone else was devouring their food . This place is good with a bar in the middle. It's fit for a group of people gathering here. The food here taste good, and I would recommend the organic flavor! We ordered two different sauce, organic and claw daddy's. Personally I think the claw daddy's sauce has a heavy garlic taste, however, the original one is perfect for me. And the spicy level is ok. Get here when they open, and make that reservation, if you want to partake in HH last until 7:30 and includes $1 oysters/clams ($1.50 if you want them grilled and you do want the grilled oysters), $1 wings, $9 adult caprisuns (rose pouch is $12 and it's the perfect summer drink), they offer another food option but it's not coming to me just yet. I really enjoy Claw Daddy's boil options. The atmosphere is large and clean. I find this place a lot cleaner than some of the other crab places that are open for example Sup Crab in Chinatown. The crowd is definitely a diverse mix crowd. I've tried their boil that was $35 per person and we they gave us a good amount of food. We finished it all of course but we were stuffed. I think it was about 2 pounds per person. Also their adult capri suns are super tasty! If you go for Happy Hour before 7 you can get Dollar oysters and $7 Capri Suns! Overall I like this place a lot more than others. I would recommend you might want to consider bringing your own non porous gloves. The ones that they give you seep through but at it's not terrible and I like that the sink to wash your hands is outside of the bathroom. So you don't need to wait. Same with the jambalaya but with an additional issue that the spice had sort of a sandy texture, like it was dumped in toward the end and hadn't really dissolved into the dish. The hosts at the front were very welcoming and so sweet the one who sat me nails was fire, and she was genuinely nice you can tell. The Boil was closed for lunch services so my party and I came to Claw Daddy's which was in the area and prices seemed comparable. It was happy hour so we got a dozen $1 oysters to start. These were pretty good although shucked pretty poorly as I found quite a few pieces of shell in my oysters. For their Louisiana Boil, my friends and I shared a 2lb combo (comes with potato and corn) of shrimp and king crab legs with medium spicy Clawdaddy's Special sauce and an additional pound of shrimp with mild garlic butter sauce. I wasn't a fan of either sauces unfortunately. The garlic butter tasted more like a Cajun sauce and the Claw Daddy's Special was too sweet. I also didn't like how all the garlic pieces were cute huge but completely raw in the sauce giving a really pungent an spicy taste when you bite into them. The freshness of the shrimp varied, some of the heads were sweet but some were sour. The king crab legs were huge and meaty, I recommend trying this.
