Made a reservation and sat inside, temp checks and masks- sat immediately clean table, fresh clean paper. I had a raspberry refresher, it was ok. My friend had a mojito and was not impressed. I had eaten outside and I love how they built the shed, it looks really cozy for groups. Also, I had notice that they tip the waiters directly from your card, I guess so they can get paid from patrons, but I don't like it. I like to tip people in cash. Came here last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and everything was perfect! First off, if you make reservation and it's a party of 8 or more then they will need your credit card but since mine was only 6 people they were willing to take it over the phone. As for their happy hours, it doesn't end till 7:30pm and what's great about it is that our waitress actually swinged by around that time to check on us and see if we wanted to order seconds. Unfortunately after my visit last night, I woke up this morning and realized that we were grossly overcharged by the bartender on duty, Felipe. I texted my sister in law to see if I was maybe going crazy but then she told me that she couldn't find her half of the charge in her bank statement, which was really weird considering we both got receipts to sign. That prompted me to check my bank statement and that's when I saw two separate charges from them even though I only signed ONE receipt. Everything we ordered was during happy hour and somehow our bill came out to over $200. I've tried calling them, left voicemails, dmd them on Instagram and I'm literally being ignored. I requested for an itemized receipt to be emailed to me. No one has contacted me. We had 3 rounds of drinks: $99 3 rounds of grilled oysters: $54 2 rounds of wings: $24 Plus two free sides that we got using the Yelp check in. Add that up and the total doesn't even come out to $200. My brother in law gave Felipe $100 in CASH and was supposed to split the rest between two cards. My card was charged twice for $80. "Oh boy" is what I thought as I walked into this place on a Friday night. I came here with a large group for a dinner because a friend selected it and to say it's not my scene is an understatement. That being said, I think the food is not bad, but it's honestly not that cheap though for what it is (with 2 drinks a person and the food we got it was $75 a person). The king crab legs were not that moist but the head on shrimp was delicious. We chose the claw daddy's sauce spicy and it was pretty good, but the presentation is disgusting - they literally bring you the food in a plastic bag and dump it into a bowl and it is SO messy. Now I'm from Maryland so I love me some old bay and crab messiness but this was beyond. There is way too much sauce which made me just give up at some point and not want to eat anymore. Also the adult Capri suns are the way to go even if they're weak because it's impossible to drink a beer with your gloves on and the amount of sauce that gets on them while you're eating. The sides were OK, Mac and cheese was a little dry, the corn was pretty good and the $2 blue point were actually tasty except for a gigantic one (literally the largest oyster I've seen) that was disgusting. The extra sausage I didn't think was worth it. What really annoyed me was the service. It took 30 minutes from when we sat down to when we got any drinks and we could NOT hear our server - i loved the music but dude speak LOUDER in this environment. My fiancé asked the server what was gluten free and he said "everything has gluten" - huh, it's sea food how is that possible. He comes back and after talking to the kitchen says so we don't know what's in the sauces, again huh, don't you make the sauces? Anyway my fiancé just got the garlic butter because it seemed the safest and he thankfully didn't get sick. In addition our entrees came out before any of our appetizers did and we ordered a lot - deviled eggs, ceviche, crab cakes, fried pickles, etc. Then when we were getting ready to wrap up they just dropped off the check while we were still ordering drinks, um hello we're not done. THEN they came over and asked us to get up, they had the nerve to say we'd be "more comfortable in their lounge upstairs". I came here during Covid and was impressed by all of the measures they are taking to ensure everyone's safety. All the staff wears gloves and changes them out regularly. The oysters are delicious, meaty and fresh. The baked clams are amazing! They're literally the best thing I've ever tasted! The crab cake fritters are also really tasty and good to share. I haven't been here since before covid so the menu definitely changed. I prefer their old menu where you were able to choose what seafood options you wanted as a combo.
