Where to start.... I originally wrote the following review on March 18th, 2023: "When submitting my application online, the out the door number was $32,207 with GAP. With a $2,500 down payment, I was only planning on financing $29,707. However, when I got the buyers order, the out the door number was $34,488.80, without GAP insurance. They tried to charge me $995 for "Connected and Protected" and $1495 for "Family Guarantee 3 Year Upgrade." They would not sell the car to me without these fees. Before submitting a credit application, Charles told me that there were no dealer fees or add ons... which was a lie. I originally acquired on the vehicle through CarGurus, which states, "Price includes Connected and Protected fee of $995," but they still tried to charge me for it. I also submitted my application at 5:45, but when I called to follow up at 7:30, they said the car was already sold." A few days after I posted the review everywhere possible, the GM called me and told me that he wish I would have talked to him before posting my reviews. He went on to say that he would honor the original deal, but I would have to pay a destination fee or something like that. However, he told me I would have to remove all of my reviews. I agreed and did so. On March 25th, I purchased a new 2023 Nissan Altima SL. Today, June 9th, I went to go get a dent fixed on the hood of my car using Clay Cooley's Family Guarantee. While I was there, the professional came in and asked, "Where did you get your hail damage repaired at?" I was awfully confused, as I bought my car new and it was not disclosed that my car had any prior hail damage. I asked the professional to clarify. He said, "As a dent professional, I can tell you that your car has had hail damage and they tried to fix it." We ended up walking around the car together and we found a couple more spots, which he fixed for me, thankfully. I called the dealership and informed them that they sold me a car with hail damage. They said, "Well, we didn't know. We got it from our sister store." Nice excuse, but you sold me the car... not your sister store, so it's on your store now. They asked me to come in and offered to fix the hail damage. I told them I was uninterested in this, as their "professionals" should have caught it when they took possession of the vehicle. I was also uninterested because the dent professional already took care of the dents for me, so they weren't offering me anything that I didn't already have. Shady, shady, shady.

Advertised price $18,475. They tried to sneak in a $2,495 charge to vehicle for the "Clay Cooley Package" Actual price: nearly$21,000

Read BEFORE you buy at Clay Cooley: Buyer beware of hidden fees in your contract! I called them about a vehicle listed plainly on cars.com for $18,475. I was told by Nicole that the online price was the price. I told her that was good, can she get me an out the door price. She called me back and told me $19700 out the door. I asked where the other $1300 came from, was that TTL? Financing fees? What? She said she couldn't go over the breakdown, then transferred me to the service manager. I asked him if $18475 was the price, he said yes, but read the fine print, that price doesn't include dealer add one. He said they charge $1300 for the "Clay Cooley Package", which is something they put on every vehicle. He said it includes a tracking device because a lot of cars get stolen in Dallas, some anti oxidation for the paint job, and locking lug nuts. I told him I didn't care about any of that and just want the car for the price advertised online. I didn't have time for games or tricks or dishonesty. He said he'd call me back. This was about 5:30. He never did, I didn't worry about it because I wasn't interested in playing games. But about 8:00pm Abigail reached out to me from there. I recounted the prior conversations and told her I wasn't interested if $18475 wasn't the price. Duncanville is about an hour and a half from North Fort Worth with traffic and I didn't want to waste my time. I was assured $18475 was the price and she linked me up with a salesman named Pa. I spoke to him briefly, he confirmed the price again. I now had 4 people confirm the price of $18475. The sales manager never called me back, so I assumed he was out of the deal. I agreed to come the next day. I arrived at 3pm and asked for Pa. I was told Pa worked in new cars, but eventually they got him to come. He said hello and left. That was the extent of the interaction. However, guess who comes out to see me. The sales manager. We immediately start the conversation from the previous night as I ask him about the $18475 price. I mention that now 4 people had given me that price and that's why I came. He started his same lame spiel about how the $1300 was his cost and he wasn't making ANY money. Whatever. But they had succeeded in getting me there, so I looked at the car and asked them to run my numbers. They assigned a female sales person to me. I sit down and she brings me the "deal". They gave it at over $22000 all in because they attempted to charge me $2,495.00 for the Clay Cooley Package. I told the lady I didn't want to pay it, and even then, $1300 was what they tried to hide in there the first time. She went down to $1300 immediately. I said I still don't want to pay it. She gave the same tired talking points about how it cost them $1300 to do the Clay Cooley Package. I told her in as nice a way as possible, I didn't believe her. Locking lug nuts are $25 at Auto Zone, and beyond that they are pretty much standard on Ford Mustangs. I didn't say anything about the tracking but a quick look on Amazon shows you can get a variety of tracking devices for between $19.99-$49.99. To make a long review short, they try to rip you off. They're not as bad as Vandergiff Hyundai, but props to Clay Cooley because they come in second. I feel pity for anyone buying a car from here not looking at their paperwork, and especially for those two women tall ripped off who bought the car I walked away from. I wonder if y'all took them for $1300 or if y'all really cleaned up by sticking the whole $2,495 in there. Shameful. As for me, I found a GREAT deal two days later on an excellent race red 2018 Mustang EcoBoost Convertible at Palomino Motors. The price I paid was exactly what was online. They didn't charge ANY dealer fees. Only the standard doc fee, inspection, tax title and license. No financing, because I paid cash with the same money I would have bought with at Clay Cooley, had they just honored their online price, the price I was given 4 times over the phone, and quite frankly, their word. They didn't, they got to sucker someone else out and I got a great car. So I guess it all worked out in the end. Buyer beware. I'm sure someone will come on here and try to do damage control. It just trying to save face. Just look at the contract libe by libe and don't let them cheat you.... because they will.

If the accident was minor or moderate but fixable the title may not be affected. This will vary state by state, possibly county by county, and insurance company by insurance company. As to the 2014 review I know this company does deal with clean, salvage, and "rebuilt" titles. Perhaps they were trying to mislead, or perhaps they honestly forgot which title applied to the vehicle until the paperwork was being processed. We all have "brain farts". The Accord we bought had been in an accident and was sold by an insurance company via auto auction with a clean title. The CARFAX report does separately indicate an accident report but confirms and supposedly CARFAX guarantees the "clean" title status. The vehicle was repaired and offered for sale. The folks we worked with at OCS motors showed us the "before" photos and we checked over the car carefully. No auto body shop is perfect, no repair job is perfect, and there were a couple minor paint flaws at the edges of the bumper but overall it was a great repair job and we decided the price asked was a very fair price for a repaired vehicle with clean Texas title. The vehicle drove and handled like a brand new car, so we're very happy with the price paid for a good vehicle with some cosmetic blemishes.

He ensured that I had a loaner vehicle to get to and back from work. They kept us informed about our vehicle and promptly notified us when the van was ready for pick up. We picked up the van and it was washed. Second time around was for an alignment. Dropped the van off with Mike. He listened to my questions and concerns. Was patient with me while I called my husband on the phone to run some things by him. The guys here take their time and make sure that you are taken care of from start to finish. Great experience so far. Will definitely continue servicing our van here.

I arrived a few minutes after 10:00. Juan was nowhere to be found at the dealership. He arrived shortly before 10:30, saying he was on a test drive. He got me in line for service. After waiting three hours, he came and told me it would be an additional 30 to 40 minutes. I questioned the time. He said we are super busy today. I understood, but I had an appointment. After close to four hours, he brought me my key and checked me out. I left at 2:42 P.M. I live approximately 16 miles away. I started with a full tank of gas. I was furious to see they had used approximately 1/4th of a tank of gas. Either someone ran an errand, or they just let my car sit and idle. Both are inappropriate.

My service advisor was George/Jorge and he was very good. He recorded a video of the exterior condition of my car before coming in to set up the appointment. He took the time to look at my service receipt from another dealer to determine what was necessary other than the recall repair. What is nice about this service department is that there is a big bulletin board that lists what is done at each routine service appointment and what it costs. This is something I have not seen elsewhere. When I arrived to pick up my car, George went over the invoice to show me what had been done, noting no charges, and he personally went to get my car. He answered several questions I had which I appreciated. It seems that a lot of the complaints on here have to do with buying cars, a process that can be very frustrating these days. Don't take this frustration out on the service department.

1 Star - No Loaner, No Communication During Active Safety Recall / Buyback Case…read more I brought my vehicle to Kia Southwest after discovering a serious safety recall that made the car unsafe to drive. The dealership took possession of the vehicle and informed me it is now under review for a manufacturer buyback. While the buyback process is underway, the handling of this situation has been completely unacceptable. Despite the severity of the issue, Kia Southwest has: Refused to provide a loaner or rental vehicle Failed to provide consistent communication or updates Offered no clear timeline or expectations I am now left without transportation and without answers, while still dealing with the financial obligations tied to this vehicle. For a manufacturer-authorized dealership handling a safety-related recall and buyback, this lack of support raises concerns regarding basic customer care standards and potential obligations under consumer protection laws, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). At minimum, situations involving unsafe vehicles and manufacturer defects should include: Temporary transportation assistance Clear and timely communication A defined process for resolution None of these have been provided. Due to the lack of responsiveness and support, I am also considering escalating this matter by filing complaints with the Texas Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and pursuing further action if necessary. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when relying on this location for assistance with serious recall-related issues.

I purchased a 2022 Honda Odyssey expecting it had been properly repaired and inspected. However, at just 30,000 miles, the transmission completely failed. That is not normal wear and tear and raises serious concerns about the quality of the prior repairs done before the vehicle was sold. At the time of purchase, I was also sold an extended warranty through Endurance Warranty Services, which gave me a sense of security. When the transmission failed, the claim was denied leaving me responsible for a major repair out of pocket. So the reality ended up being: A branded title vehicle with a major mechanical failure, combined with a warranty that did not cover the issue when it mattered most. This has been stressful, time-consuming, and expensive, and it completely changed the value of what I thought I was purchasing. My advice: Do not rely on the warranty alone, and do not assume these vehicles have been repaired to a reliable standard. Get an independent inspection and ask very detailed questions before buying. I regret this purchase and would not buy from here again.
