DON'T PAY THE ADDENDUM FEE & RUN from Terrell Turner. I had such a bad experience at this slimey dealership. They prey on uneducated consumers and have horrible customer service. They post cars online for low prices, not telling you that they are going to add in a 2-3K dealer addendum fee(AKA "Dealer Adds). They'll tell you some BS about it being for Nitrogen Tires, Sketching etc, but it's really just pure PROFIT. You DO NOT have to pay it even though they will try to convince you that you do. The sales people will start off nice, but if you dare challenge them on that dealer addendum and other "Fluff" fees, they'll turn on you. The sales guy Terrell actually got loud and yelled at me because I didn't want to pay extra fees to pad their wallets. This was reported to the Assistant Sales Manager who admitted that Terrell was wrong and promised that a district manager would call about the situation. No one ever followed up. As long as people keep letting them make thousands in unnecessary fees, They really don't care. read more

From the used car salesman, to the title team, to the sales manager, and the entire customer support team... be prepared to deal with ineptitude, lack of communication, misplaced information, busted deadlines and an overall lack of either honesty or a complete lack of job knowledge (I'm guessing ineptitude since I would hope the days of the lying used car salesman are behind us). Take your business elsewhere. expect the finance department to not file your payment information in a timely manner (yes, my bank called me to tell me I had not yet paid for the truck since the finance department failed to contact my bank per the loan information). Be prepared to submit proof of insurance multiple times (yes, Augustine failed to send it to his team, who could not deliver the vehicle when agreed upon). Be prepared to have your temp plates expire while waiting for Guila to process your title paperwork (yes, I called 10 days prior to the expiration, she assured me it would be extended... she did not do her job). Be prepared to negotiate one final price with Augustine and later find out that due to shifty language, there was no intent to be accountable to the agreement and N/A in the Title fee only meant that it was N/A for the Clay Cooley team to be accountable for their verbal agreements. Be prepared to call and text Augustine for weeks while trying to resolve your own issues, so that You can have current temp plates to keep you legal on the road. Be prepared to talk with the pre-owned director William Harris who will not help with your concerns (instead, he will take an attitude with you, claim the dealership manager is not in (he was) and hang up the phone on you mid sentence. Be prepared to elevate your concerns with Mr. Ken Sink whose very political tone yielded no more than a reference back the the original source of my problems, the sales representative Augustine Gomez. Be prepared to express your concerns with the online corporate assistance team when you feel all is lost. Be prepared for this team to stop responding to you when you ask for their ethical interpretation on the behavior of the used car salesman. You can be prepared for this, or you can do the smart thing and take your business elsewhere. I am an active duty US Air Force Officer who returned from an overseas assignment and had no car. I purchased a nice used vehicle with this team, but would rather walk to work than relive this sales experience. read more

Liars and cheats Here we go......10AM Saturday Morning I inquire about an Avenger. I am at work so I am primarily negotiating through e-mail and text. After talking for a few hours it becomes clear that we are a thousand away from each other on price, so I say "Thank you and have a good day". I receive a phone call from the sales girl and she tells me "My general manager is not going to lose a sale today over a thousand dollars because we are trying to hit a number tonight." .......I let them know I just worked 16 hours and have another 12 to work in 8 hours but they convince me to find a babysitter again and my wife and I head down because of the deal for that day......it's an hour from my place by the way which is why I wanted to make sure if I liked the car we were all good on the price. So we get there and we are immediately given the price I denied earlier that day. Sales Manager was rood and we say thanks and go to leave. Then the sales girl says, "that manager doesn't count, let me get the one who said we can work a deal." So I'm all like "sweet, ok". He comes (after about 25 minutes) and gives me the same price as there best price that I've denied 4 times already, so we go to leave. Then he asked if we wanted to see the Avenger s he can do at our price, so I say ok why not. Another 30 minutes goes by and they pull up, we love the look and I say this is like the same car we wanted almost exactly, so we test drive and love it. We get back and I say we will take. We get back in and they take about 30 minutes to come out and the give me the same price! Then I say let me see the carfax on this one. I look, it was the same exact car I had been negotiating all day! These guys lied right to my face then tried to trick me into thinking I was negotiating on a different car even though the only reason we stayed was because they said they will do this one at our price! So we leave. They got me, they played me. And I get they have tactics but to flat out lie is unprofessional, I have purchased a few cars in my time and was never treated like an idiot so bad. Oh it gets worse! So, two days pass I let the anger go away and then I see this program to trade in old cars for a voucher if the dealer participates. I still want the car so I ask if they accept the vouchers and they say they can do it now! (Because the program gets funds in January so I was just going to wait) So I say really? Ok, so the offer is 3,000 on the trade in and I was willing to just take 2,000 from the dealership and we would be at my number. They agree. So I make them tell me 100% it is all good, we all agree I speak to multiple employees and they are perfectly fine with the deal. I call to verify one last time before I head down, they say "all good just waiting on you" We go down and it's sketchy right from the start. They say they thought I would finance with them even though they knew I already had the money (so basically, they were trying to get me on the back end) plus they up ed the price of the car, so they end up giving me the same price I've been saying no to all week, but now they want my car too! So I call them all out and they cycle through 5 people moving numbers around trying to trick me, when it always added up to the same number I have been saying no to. I asked them why they kept straight up lieing and I always said it was cool if they couldn't do it, just let me know before I drive down. To end it. They hold my keys and try to keep me there. I firmly asked for my keys back 5 times before they gave them. Then they try to throw in a $50 certificate to movie grill to counter balance trying to take my car, charge me 3,000 more then I agreeed. ( even after I offered to toss in another 1,000 just to end the deal) I don't think they like to sell their cars. I felt with 6 different employees there and they all straight lied to my face over and over and over and over again. Worst experience I've ever had with a service dept. Was promised pickup of car multiple times and each time I wouldn't ready. Very poor communication and I truly felt like we were being lied to as much as the story changed. Left several messages for the service manager and never got a return call. Sounds like the leadership is poor. If I can prevent it, I will never bring my car here and will NEVER buy another car from them. They low balled him in his trade then came back with what he wanted for his trade but then added $2,292.00 in extras that the car mysteriously had on it. I'd not only forget that Clay Cooley Chevrolet existed but run from any deal that they think that there giving you because it's a LIE!!!! My car was damaged multiple times when in for service and they will do nothing to resolve the issue. I was referred to them by my boss. We went and the sales manager at the time, Justin, was great. He went out of his way to help us. When we purchased the car I asked to get the windows tinted. When I went to pick the car up the tint job looked like a 2 year old did it. Justin was quick to send my car to an outside company to have it redone. My car had to go in for a recall on the s/c for the buttons not working. Well it was in 3 times for the same issue and on the third time they said the relay was bad so they replaced it. That resolved that issue BUT I have had nothing but issues since. My a/c doesn't work well at all. My car had to go in the service several other times for small warranty work and on MULTIPLE occasions the service department damaged my car. They scratched the back bumper when replacing the emblem then when they did a courtesy wash one time they must have had something in the rag they used as it scratched my paint all over the car. The service manager , Shane has been great through it all though. I had to take my car in 3 times to have an outside company come in to do a glaze coat on it to eliminate the scratches. It didn't get rid of them all but I was just tired of dealing with it. Well this last time it went in for a/c work again ( which they cannot figure the issue out ) I picked it up covered in sap which we still cannot get off parts of the car but it had multiple scratched all the way through the paint on the drivers side. I contacted them and they basically told me too bad. I couldn't get the new sales manager to EVER call me back so I took a day of vacation from work one day and shoed up. I spent 4 hours there that day. When I talked to him he basically blew me off and acted like I was stupid. They made it out like they would get me into another car. Ok great I thought. Yeah NOT. They wanted me to be over 10,000 upside down. My car is only 8 months old and the ONLY reason I want in something else is because their dealership damaged it and wont do anything to make it right. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone unless you want to get screwed. I also tried to set an appointment with Clay so we could let him know what happened throughout the 12 + visits my car made and the new GM Chad, told me Clay was too busy and he suggest I take my car to another dealership. Took it for service, and it was serviced but took 3 days. They called on the second morning and said it would be finished at 6:00. I called at 5:57 and Cody said it was the wrong part. I asked why did you not call me back after the 10:00am call. I was ready with a friend to go pickup the car. I can't imagine how much madder I would have been if I didn't call. I original purchase my car from the Clay Cooley in Dallas in January 2017. A belt came off a few months ago and I used their towing service and had it towed to that service department. Within 48 hours I received a call advising that the belt came off and what it would cost to get it fix. When it was completed they called me and I went and got my car. No problems. Well last Tuesday (7/31/18) my car started running hot. I went by an Auto Zone and was told what the issue was however I was thinking it may be best if I have the car towed to Clay Cooley so they can run some test and tell me exactly what the problem was. Well I called Clay Cooley Chevrolet in Irving and spoke with a lady by the name of Rachel. She advise me that since my car was finance through them (AS IS Car) then she can have my car towed for free and have a diagnostic test completed for free the only thing was the car would have to towed to Irving. I was fine with that because I worked in Irving. Well that was the BIGGEST mistake I made. I talked to her roughly around 10am last Wednesday morning (8/1/2018). My car was not picked up until Thursday morning (8/2/2018) and here it is Tuesday (8/7/2018) and I still has not got my car back. I have been calling and calling and getting the run around. I have been transferred and transferred from voicemail to voicemail. I had been lied to and told that they are behind and that someone will call me. As of yesterday my car was still just setting up. I spoke with Rachel today and was advise that there are 5 cars ahead of mines and hopefully within a hour or so she would be able to call me back with pricing and etc. What pisses me off is if they were this far behind they should had told me instead of giving me the run around. I am also piss because whenever they do fix it they are going to expecting their money before I can get my car and when the 20th roll around (payment due date) they are going to be looking for their payment. I have asked to speak to managers and nothing. This is the most stressful situation I can say I have encounter so far this year. I am a mother of 3 being without a car when having a car that I am paying on should be the least of worries. I should had my car towed to the one in Dallas like I did before or had someone that works on cars come fix my car. I am very upset and would not recommend a rat to do business with this car lot. I have to admit that buying the vehicle was easy from here. The salesman wasn't pushy, which was kinda refreshing. There was only a couple of negatives, when we purchased our other Chevy from Autonation the provided 2 free years of oil changes. Here at Clay Cooley they only gave us 2 oil changes. The only way to get the 2 years worth of oil changes is to pay more. I believe the Autonation did tire rotations as well. read more

If I could have given a negative, I would have. My experience was extremely bad. I was given an vehicle, with mine in trade. They were supposed to pay off my vehicle, with the knowledge of the next payment date. I had vehicle for a week and drove it from dealership to house. A week later, after calling finance department all week. The finance officer I was working with finally answered, on the golf course, during an tournament. We then set up for me to finish paperwork, some I had called about several times that my insurance Co. had requested. I came in on Friday afternoon, was told then I didn't get approved and needed to bring car back. I explained then I didn't get off until the following Thursday and would be leaving for work the next morning. I was begged to bring car back that night, to keep him from getting in trouble for prereleasing vehicle to begin with. So, I changed my plans and brang their car back, that Friday night. I was supposed to be reimbursed gas and my old car would be waiting for me. I called and text to let him know I was on way. Two minutes from Clay Cooley, he texts me to let me know someone else would be helping me. I get there and no one knows what I'm talking about and my car was still sitting in same spot on their lot. I waited for two hours while manager tried to locate keys to my car. He had spoken to my friend and she explained what was going on. After another two hours, keys still lost, he offered to let me take their car with me and would have someone deliver my car and pick up their's the next day. I was in my second vehicle, so I declined to take possession of their vehicle again, and left it on their lot. Not only did they not find keys that night, my car tire was flat. No one called or came to my location the next day. I left messages over a three day period asking about my car, and also setting up to make my NOW LATE car payment. No one answered or returned my text. Not one of the THREE people (salesperson, manager, finance person). I finally texted, called and left message informing them if my car wasn't returned by the end of that day( Wednesday) , I would be calling it in to be reported stolen. That night, the sales person returned my car and stated she was unaware of all the transactions . the next morning, I came out to my tire being completely flat again. It's been four months now. The ONLY two people that have been professional are the Service Department Manager-David, and the CEO-Clay Cooley Jr.. Which I now believe neither have been informed I am not the owner of the vehicle I returned. Oh, and OnStar has also contacted me, in a professional manner. CAR SHOPPING NIGHTMARE. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! It is long but it is worth the read- We went in on Wednesday night and worked with Remi (she was absolutely wonderful) we were not looking to buy that day but wanted to test drive and see availability. We then called the dealership on Friday mid morning to check to ensure that had a vehicle listed online I spoke with EMANUEL. He ensured the vehicle was there and I said great thanks ill be in later. He took my phone number and pulled my information in their system (showing I was there on Wednesday) When I arrived I waited for Remi. When she went to get the keys for us to test drive the vehicle Emanuel had taken the keys so she had to go and look for him. Once finding him apparently they had a disagreement on who's customer I was. (happens all the time) He then watched a Remi came to talk to me and came to me to confront me in the showroom when she went to talk to a manager. I said yes, i called to ensure you had this vehicle however I have been working with Remi. he said to her, we will split this commission, IN FRONT OF ME. He still would not give Remi the keys so we could test drive the car. she went to get a manager so that we could drive the car. my husband and i laughed it off as it is just part of the sales game they play. Emanuel then comes back with the keys and tells my husband let me pull the car around and we can go to test drive it. My husband said hey man were working with Remi, where is she? he said shes with a manager but were working together so lets go drive it. (if we did he would automatically get half the commission and we know this) so my husband said dude you just answered the phone when we called and we dont want to work with you. HE THEN SAID 'FINE BUT IM GOING TO GET MY MONEY ANYWAY' he said this to the customer.... so disrespectful i wanted to leave right then(it was a red flag) but we just continued with our purchase test drove the car, loved it. did our negotiations and finally agreed on a price, payment, and APR. upon going to finance we had agreed on a 6.49% and $486 a month. THIS IS WHERE IT GOT REALLY UGLY REALLY FAST. they messed up the finance paperwork(names and such) they were so disrespectful about it that the finance manager ripped the paper in our face. on this paper the interested rate said 5.49% YAY!!! even better. after correcting the names we begin to sign and after signing half of the paperwork when it comes to the purchase agreement the interest rate is now 7.49% it is now 12:30am. and the interest rate has changed 3 times in the finance office. They are being so disrespectful to us that we are ALL yelling and using foul language, meaning them too. we left the dealership at 1am, walked out on the deal. NO ONE deserves to be treated as such, we are making a 22k purchase from them. STEAR CLEAR THEIR GAMES ARE RIDICULOUS. read more

HORRIBLE place to do business. The deal that was created and signed off on WAS NOT able to be consummated. The sales manager admitted that it should not have been signed off on. Granted, our situation was a bit difficult, but everyone from the salesman, to the sales manager to the finance guy agreed it could be done. The dealership instead chose to say we could not qualify for the financing....a lie that I have proof of. They just could not honor their deal. 3 stars....The Customer Service was okay I guess, but the missing two stars comes from the fact that I didn't feel I had much of a choice when choosing to buy a car from here. The back and forth process all in one night seemed to be a bit overwhelming after a while. This is my first time buying a car so I've been cautioned by all of my relatives not to just jump at the first deal that sounds good. They were prepared to let me drive away in a car with no money down. The problem is I don't have all that great credit of course that's normal for someone my age as I am still in the process of getting established. I test drove and loved VERY much a 2015 Chevy Cruze however because I've read that the car has had over 5,000 recalls thanks to electrical problems and a gang of other mechanical issues I am no longer interested in this car. I had to wait for over 20 minutes just to see someone who scheduled me with for an appointment and that there should have been enough to make me walk out and never look back but I decided to give them a try at least because I understand how hectic a typical busy day at work can be...No worries there and that's why they got 3 stars. I would have given 5 stars but first you failed to tell me what I needed to bring in order to even take the car, so I feel like I wasted a Friday night when I could have been treating myself to a cocktail or something. The next morning I got like 4 different calls stating that they could get me approved for insurance with no money down for $200/mo with state farm...Uhhh problem with that is, I used to work for state farm...There's no way they're going to insure a first time driver UNDER 25 and a female at that for just $200.00 a month.....For someone like me, they want AT LEAST $495 upfront for a 6 months premium and that's just with liability, comprehensive and collision alone each with a $500 deductible. Lying to get a sale huh? That never seemed wise to me. I loved the customer service I received, so I will not act like this was a bad experience for me but this showed me just how aggressive car salesmen can be when trying to get their sales..It seemed like a sweet deal they were offering me, but I just know that this was going to be something I regretted when it was all said and done and I've signed on the dotted line not even realizing that there's fine print. That even though you are SAYING I can give you a blank check for the down payment and you'll cash it when I get my refund or within 45 days you're not telling me that first months payment probably about $350 will be deducted from my account as well...You're not telling me that part, that this insurance would only be valid if I could go to state farm with a valid drivers license and pay a deposit of $150.00 and everything else outlined in the fine print. If my father wasn't a former car salesmen, I'd be screwed....Thankfully I could call on him when things just didn't sound right about this whole deal...And my payments would have been sky high...You wanted me to pay $500/month for a car that has had thousands of recalls? Not happenin'!! So to the salesmen at Clay Cooley....I wanna say, for the experience, thanks but as far as getting a car...I'm going to keep looking. read more

horrible!! Just went there last night and tried to buy a car. Told them we had cash to pay and did not want to finance. Bradley said "I loooove cash" and acted like we were going to get a great deal. We picked out two cars and neither one was the first one they showed us. Why? Strange. So they showed us a pretty nice Altima similar to the one I picked out on the lot, it ended up being more expensive. Still don't k ow why I couldn't be shown the one I picked out on the lot. Tried desperately to get me in that car but I said no too much. Bring me the second car I picked out....49 minutes later our sales guy...Leon Suggs or something like that....was nowhere in sight. It was only then when my husband summoned Bradley that he came out 10 minutes later and told me they could not negotiate on the second car I picked. Even with some cosmetic damage that he blew off and didn't give two shits about, still no negotiation. My husband threw down $10k and said give me that car for $10k all inclusive(car was priced at 11k) and they both laughed at us and said no deal. My husband and I walked out floored. Complete asshole that Bradley. I have never had suck a horrible experience in my life. Went to Carmax later and buying a nice Kia Optima today. Clay Cooley sucks!!! read more

Horrible place to go car shopping. Went in to buy a used 2016 Nissan Altima they had on their website and on CarGurus for $14,798. Like most car buyers, I did my research prior to visiting the dealer. The car had 55,000 miles and was worth $14,300 according to KBB (Kelley Blue Book). I went to the dealer to check the car out and test drive it. When I arrived I was attended by fairly new, yet friendly salesman (I forgot his name but even though he was fairly new, he had great customer service and always did his best to arrive at a deal). We checked out the car and noticed it had a fair amount of dings on the exterior, and the interior could've been cleaner. We went inside to negotiate pricing, and were introduced to Stu, an experienced salesman to handle the negotiation. He handed us a paper with the break down of the car price. The starting price was $16,900! Remember the price posted on their website and on CarGurus was $14,798. Their starting price was ridiculous! There is no way a 2016 Nissan Altima with 55,000 miles should be priced at $16,900 BEFORE TAX. We told Stu why we thought $14,300 was a fair price for the car. The car had an open recall, it had more then a month on their lot, had some dings that had to be fixed, and based on the mileage it was overpriced according to KBB. Stu reacted offended to my offer and told us that there was no way he could possibly sell that car for under $15,300. That was still more than what was posted on their site. Then he told us some straight BS on why their price was higher, then the one posted online We told him that we came here because their price was within negotiating range of a great price and would buy the car for if he gave us that price. We offered him $14,500 but he wouldn't come down on his price. Very aggressive salesman tactic to squeeze as much profit as possible from a sale. We decided not to waste our time anymore if they weren't willing to negotiate with us. Just as we were about to leave he gave us a last desperate offer and offered of $14,798 for the car but rejected the offer due to his rude, and impatient behavior. If Stu lied about the initial price then why should we trust him. Horrible salesman and dealer. I've gone to countless dealers in the last couple months and this one I can certainly say it's the worst one by far. If you find a good price on one of their cars just remember that's not the actual starting price at the dealer, they only use those prices to draw customers in and rip them off with absurd additional charges and fees. If you end up going to their dealer at least ask for someone other than Stu, you'll thank me later. No wonder they only have two stars when they claim five. read more

This review involves my ordeal with the service department. I drove in to check what the process would be to service my 2015 Cruze for some squeaky noise in the steering column the day before I dropped off the vehicle. - Brought in the vehicle first thing Thursday morning, left the car with Blake as my advisor, and was given a loaner car. I called in a couple of times throughout the day, and could get a hold of absolutely no one who could tell me the status of the vehicle, so I drove in after work to check on it. Blake was no where to be found, and no one I found could tell me the status. I had to walk into the repair shop to get someone's attention to finally tell me the only person who could diagnose this specific problem had a backlog of vehicles, and they had no way of knowing how long it would be. I decided to give them an extra day or two since we had the loaner. - Called in on Friday and asked to speak with Blake. After leaving voicemails, he did not respond, and I kept calling in to inquire about the status. Again, I had to drive by after work and hunt someone down that could tell me what was going on. Technician still hadn't seen my car. - Called in on Saturday to check again. Blake finally calls me to say the vehicle has been diagnosed (it's been two days now) and parts need to be ordered, which won't arrive until probably Wednesday or Thursday of the following week. We decide to stay in the loaner and leave the vehicle in case they arrive earlier... Why couldn't they be overnighted? - After calling in all week to check status with no luck getting a hold of anyone, parts arrive in multiple locations at Clay Cooley, and no one bothers looking for them until I drive by after work Thursday to check on things. Luckily, I am able to track down Blake who says he will call me once they locate all the parts. Of course, he doesn't call that evening as promised. - I call in Friday around lunchtime, and Blake says they'll have the car finished by the afternoon. I call on the way there after work, and he says there is a one-time use bolt they weren't aware of when they diagnosed the issue, so now they have to order ANOTHER bolt (this time they actually overnight it). Blake apologizes and states they will throw in a full tank of gas as a good faith gesture due to the inconvenience, and will call on Saturday when the work is done. It's not. - I finally come by Monday (the second monday, 11 days after the initial drop-off) on the way to work to pick up the vehicle, which is amazingly actually repaired, but of course, the vehicle is not topped off as promised. Blake says he'll take care of it, disappears for 10 minutes and comes back saying their fuel pump is broken, so he'll have to take it to a nearby station. When he returns 20 minutes later (and i'm now late for work), the tank is at 3/4 instead of full. This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had with a service department, and I can only hope others will heed these reviews before they waste their precious time and money on a derelict Chevrolet operation. I apologize for length of this review, but I want people to understand the depth of the deception and unethical practices. I originally contacted Clay Cooley Chevrolet in early June in regards to a vehicle that I saw on their website. I spoke with a salesman named Terry (who is at 0 fault in this) and completed a credit application online. Terry called and said that they had an approval and had a perfect vehicle for my situation. I went in on June 17 around 4 pm and began the process. At first, they said that they were not sure that it would be approved and I stated that they had already told me that everything was good to go, so I wanted to know what happened. After spending nearly 4 hours at the dealership, we had finally agreed on numbers and a vehicle and I agreed to come back on Monday to sign papers and complete the deal. I agreed to a down payment of $750, which the sales manager agreed to hold a check for 2 weeks on. I agreed to trade my 2006 Toyota Camry, for which they agreed to give me $3000. During this process, they asked me a couple of times about our other open car loan and if I had a cosigner, to which I said no and would not be able to get one. They assured me that this would not be a problem. When I arrived on Monday (during my work hours), I spend 2.5 hours there waiting on finance to be ready for me. I signed my paperwork, but was told by Joe Gobea that they would not give me paperwork then, that they would mail it to me in a couple of days. I agreed and set an appointment for Wednesday to pick up the vehicle since it had to go through service. When I arrived Wednesday evening, I again was there nearly 2 hours waiting on the car and the temporary license plates to be ready. I left assuming that everything was okay and that I had just purchased a good car from an okay dealer. Thursday, Joe calls me and asks why I have not brought them cash or a cashiers check for the down payment. I explained to him that the sales manager had agreed to hold the check and deposit it on the 5th of July. He seemed very frustrated with this and told me he would check on it and let me know if there were any issues. Since I did not receive a call back, I assumed that everything was okay. July 5th came and went and I expected them to deposit the check at any time. I received a call on July 10th from Terry that they would need me to come in and resign some paperwork since it had gone from June to July. I agreed and made an appointment to come in the next day. Three (3) minutes later, Joe from finance calls and basically says the exact same thing. I asked him if he even talked to the salesman since we had just spoken and he said "no". I informed him that I would be in on the 11th and his words were "come see me tomorrow and we will work everything out. When I arrived on the 11th, I find out that Joe was on a scheduled day off (see above comment from him) and dealt with Keith, their finance director. He informed me that they needed me to trade the other vehicle that we have a loan on (my fiancee's 2009 Buick Enclave) or they needed a cosigner. He also stated that they had discussed trading the Buick and I informed him that this had never been discussed as a trade and that they only asked me if it was in both of our names. I told him that I would not trade that vehicle (I am upside down in it) and that I did not have a cosigner. He then stated that "no finance company will give you 2 open auto loans, I don't know why we even signed you up on this contract." I was completely taken aback and extremely mad at this conversation and repeatedly asked why they had done this if it would not get approved. All he could say is "I don't know". I left completely frustrated and pissed off. Keith told me he would work on it but it did not look good. I called my salesman personally and spoke with him and he was completely flabergasted that this deal had gone bad. I then spoke to Clint, one of the sales managers and apprised him of the situation. He said he would check and get back to me personally. I received a call from Keith (not Clint) 2 hours later that we needed to unwind the deal. This morning, my fiance called the Texas Attorney Generals office and spoke to a woman who explained that SHE had this exact same situation happen to her: WITH CLAY COOLEY!!!!! She informed my fiance that we should call the lender to even see if they tried to get an approval or not and see what the lender actually said about the deal. I called SAFCO and was told that they had denied the original contract but had APPROVED another version. With this information, I called Ken (General Sales Manager) and explained my dilema to him. He sounded sincere and wanted to look into it. During this conversation, he stated that not only had SAFCO approved the loan but that there was an approval from another lender that they would work with. BEWARE of this DEALERSHIP, they were part of an Identify Thief that ruined my Credit Score, because I bought a vehicle from them. Last February, someone with my identity and I assume had help from the Sales Department, purchased a New Corvette and New Nissan at this dealership. I was notified in March this happened by the Arlington Police Department, I contact the dealership which told me they also had a charge off with this purchase and the people involved had mine and my wife's information. About 2 months later, we found out they charged off my Son's Truck. No one has ever contacted us about the truck and we still have it. This lead me to suspect this whole transaction was with the help of an employee with the Dealership, who would sign off on a trade-in without the vehicle????? Now I cannot get the title, my credit score dropped drastically as the bank who financed the vehicles has a repossession in mine and my wife's name. The title clerk apparently looked it up on the computer and said there seems to be a clerical mistake. She assured me she would take care of it. Four months and counting, still no title. I felt like I was actually being taken care of instead of a number. It was a very personable experience considering the fact that I had to be there in the first place. Horrible experience! I drove in from San Antonio to buy my daughter a care. This dealership advertised a car on Car Guru that seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. I found it odd that they didn't have a picture of the car on the Guru ap, and sure enough, I was told that car sold the same day that we got there! The salesperson I had been speaking to wasn't available anymore, so we got assigned to another salesperson, who drove a similar car up to the front, but it had no sales price anywhere on it. I asked several times, "how much is this car?" I received no answer, but was asked what I wanted my monthly payment to be. REALLY?! I should have walked out at that moment, but thought that maybe the salesperson was just inexperienced, so I just complained to a manager. After I complained to the manager, the salesperson came back and asked me for my contact information, then they could give me a price. I said no. You give me a price, or I walk. The salesperson left the room, them came back with a deal sheet with a ridiculous price. I again, said no, and they again asked me what I wanted my monthly payment to be. I told them that didn't matter as much to me as the final price of the car. After much negotiation, and my threats to leave, they eventually met my price. THEN, I was sent to finance... Oh my God! I could not believe what I was put through during the finance part of the deal. They tried to tell me that I had to purchase things like etching and GAP insurance, when I know for a fact that those are optional things. They weren't backing down, so I again, almost left. They agreed to take those items out, and the deal was done. They brought the car up to the front for us to take home, and it had an empty gas tank! LOL Today, I called to inquire why we hadn't received our license plates. The temporary plates they put on the car expire tomorrow. I called, was passed off twice, then sent to a voice message. I left a message, but do not expect to hear back from them. My daughter will have the unfortunate task of going back up there tomorrow to demand service. By the way, she also tried to call about the plates, and was also passed off twice and sent to voice mail. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this dealership. If you are new to car buying, you are the perfect customer for these people. They will love you! You will be sold things that you will never need and will get you that low monthly payment you want, but the end sales price of the vehicle will be way more than it should be! read more

I wish I can give this place no stars. Absolute horrible customer service. On 1/23 we and I went in search of a Silverado advertised online at 30k when we got to the dealership they informed us that there is a disclaimer that the Internet price usually does not reflect the actual price. That's one thing... Then they went on to tell us that since we are first time buyers that our interest will be high.. Ok... We did not expect to pay 1100 a month for 60 months and end up paying a little over double the price of the truck That's two After we dropped our standards to a base model V8 they told us that our payments were all going to be 775-890 a month We then started looking at used vehicles they pulled out a 2008 Silverado and I was in disgust Then they brought out a V6 2014 Silverado and I specifically told them I wanted a V8 The sales man started to become angry that we did not want any of the trucks he brought out. The sales manager then talked to us in a rude manner explaining that we might as well be getting a Ferrari with our credit. Horrible! Do not buy a car from this place! I came across one decent salesman in this place! They are all nice and friendly until you don't do what they want. I was ready to buy one of their cars until I noticed the $1300 fee for maintenance they did on the car. A car dealership needs to do that on their own in order to sell the car itself. I should not have to pay for that. If you negotiate the price and get them to lower it, they will add on this fee to get the car value back up. I had to go in an out of their dealership for 3 days. I spoke to about 10 different people and they all failed to mention that fee to me until I was about to sign. They wouldn't take it away so I asked them for my money back and I gave them my key. Bait and switch I went to buy my third vehicle from Clay Cooley in the past 6 months, and I had a terrible experience with Al Castro and Terrell Turner. I found the car online listed for a specific price, verified the price by stock number on the Clay Cooley website, and contacted Clay Cooley to finalize the transaction. After wasting the day organizing the sale, changing my insurance, and completing the finance application, Terrell and Al changed the sales price. They claimed that this price was only available to GMC employees, claimed that GMC required them to advertise the vehicles at that price (they would be the only dealership in the metroplex doing this), and offered me a price about $3000 higher. I was very upset, and Al and Terrell apologized for the misleading ad, refused the remove it, and informed me that this was the best they could do. When I told them that I simply could do business with scam artists, "the best we can do" dropped by $1500. I declined and will no longer do business with Clay Cooley dealerships. These ads have no fine print or details that explain who is or isn't eligible for the base price. I have reported Clay Cooley Chevrolet to the Texas Attorney General on their website, as bait and switch scams are illegal. If they do this to you, I advise you to file your report there also. I am still investigating how to properly report them to GMC. Four days later, they still haven't removed the false ads. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I went here to purchase my first car BIG MISTAKE. They put me on their Fresh Start program due to me never having purchased a vehicle before or having much credit. They don't tell you when you sign up that if you are just one day late on a payment there going to SHUT YOUR CAR OFF! They don't tell you that they are not flexible at all when life happens. I've made my payments on time for 5+ months until being laid of by my job. Let me just tell you I have been absolutely appalled by the way I've been treated by them. The reps in there Chase Financial department are the rudest individuals I have ever encountered I'm constantly hung up on.. Never called back..Given cold responses with no respect or empathy at all. When I call the front desk they are constantly playing and laughing on the phone not paying attention transferring you where ever just to get you off the line. THIS IS A COMPANY THAT ONLY WANTS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE CAR ONCE YOU DRIVE OFF THE LOT. I am now telling everyone I know, anyone that will listen not to shop here I wish I would have never purchased a car from such a greedy dealership. You would think if they have the nerve to make you pay $500 a month for a 2011 vehicle they would atleast treat you with some respect and appreciation. Lesson learned! read more

This place is horrible i do not recommend anyone going here they take a long time and try to give you the run around. They change staff like they change underwear. When I first got my Tahoe they did a great job but now i went to refinance and the salesman that attended me did NOT have any experience he didnt know what type of cars they had or the difference between a new 2016 from the 2015. They took a long time and was there for 4 hours just for them to say no, The guy actually lost my ID from just making a copy of it and I had to leave with no ID they said they would call and its been a week haven't heard from them since.
