What makes this especially concerning is that the valuation exceeded even the "Excellent" condition value listed in the standard Old Cars Weekly pricing guide used by Washington licensing offices. That guide lists a fully restored excellent-condition 1985 Chevrolet C20 at $25,000, with lower categories ranging down to $1,000 for a parts car. After leaving, I visited another licensing office in Marysville where the clerk was exceptionally professional and helpful. She accessed the same valuation resource, reviewed the condition categories, and successfully processed the title transfer using an appropriate condition-based valuation. This experience demonstrated that the issue was not the law or the valuation process, but the unwillingness of one employee to work with a customer to determine a fair and accurate value. As a result, I submitted a formal complaint to the Snohomish County Licensing Division and the Washington State Department of Licensing. I appreciate businesses that work with customers professionally and apply the rules fairly. Unfortunately, this office has now provided me with two negative experiences. Terrible.

All this for $75 in Manhattan where you can't get lunch for $75. I am very pleased. I usually check Yelp reviews before I do business with anyone but I didn't do it with ABC. If I had I would not have used them. I have never seen so many negative reviews for a business on Yelp. If ABC wants to avoid future bad reviews they need to advertise their services as "satisfaction guaranteed or your money back". Then tell their independent contractor process servers that if a negative review is left on YELP due to negligence on their part they are history. ABC can respond to this review and let Yelp members know if they have made any policy changes.

However, this last time was an absolute nightmare. I put in a request on Friday to have an individual served by the following Tuesday and gave them times when I know that person would likely be home. I received a response telling me that if I would like to have someone served at a specific time, I would need to request "stakeout services". Then I received another message telling me that if I wanted "stakeout services" I needed to provide them with 48 hours notice and because I did not, they would be unable to help. So they cancelled my order and issued me a refund, within a couple of hours of me placing it. I then called customer service and explained that I just needed the document served by Monday and they told me they would re-open the order and likely serve on Saturday. Well, Saturday came and went and the status of my order did not change. On Sunday, I sent a text message asking for a status update, replying to one they sent me earlier, only to receive a response that they do not respond to text messages. I then submitted a "support ticket" asking for a response. After hours went by with no response, I cancelled my order and had a different company serve the individual the same day, with no hassle. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further concerns." WTF?!?! I then called and spoke to a customer service representative who acknowledged my cancellation and assured me that no further action would be taken. Three hours later, I received a notification that the individual had just been served by ABC Legal. I then called customer service and requested contact information to submit a complaint. I sent my complaint to that email address and it bounced back!!! I don't know what is going on at ABC Legal, but I do know that the company was sold last year to a private equity firm. Needless to say, I will no longer be doing business with ABC Legal. Absolute needless source of stress and waste of time.

But they know that that the amount you need is going to be more than just one stop at their cash machine because they have it set max amount much less than anything that you're ever going to pay that you need cash for it the D M V. they are going to make sure that they get two fees out of you instead of just one to get your cash and that's leaching. Bad behavior that's why they're getting the one star. The owner is proud that she has such a great service for you but she's also proud that she's collecting two fees instead of just one and she doesn't consider that leaching Behavior or rude and she says you can take your business elsewhere and I'm happy to do so.
