I like to shop local whenever possible and CLE Clothing is a regular go to for me. This year I got the Cleveland Flannel shirts for the whole family - it's a tradition. Mike and Laura and the team there are always willing to go our of their way to make customers feel important. Big fan of this place. This is a great place to check out some original designs to show of your CLE love. I've got several shirts from here and they use mostly American Apparel quality shirts to print their stuff. Appreciated since those are the best, most comfortable shirts ever. I really like that it's not just wearables here either. Take some time to check out the relatively large collection of books about Cleveland and the surrounding area. Love all the products that are sold here! Everything has its own unique charm and really represent things around Cleveland. The store itself is a little small though, so be mindful of that while you're there. The location of this store is perfectly central downtown so it is a must-stop for the city and it also has so many great gifts and things to buy involving Cleveland! What can I say, except I wish I would have thought of this store before they did. What an amazing part of downtown CLE. It's the best visitor's gift shop around! They are always coming up with new and awesome ideas for clothes, pictures, jewelry and everything in between that has to do with Cleveland. I stop in at lease once a week to see the new inventory. They offer promotions too with coupon codes online. If you have people in from out of town, make sure you guys stop in and buy something to take back home! Placed an on-line order on a Sunday morning, they make you pay with Paypal which would have been fine but it's not clear as to where to change the shipping address. This was to be a gift and go out of state and while I realized the error right away, they weren't open so I sent an email to customer service. Okay, I realize it was my error but I never did hear from them and when the shirt arrived, I was very disappointed in the quality. Very thin material. I mean for $25(before tax and shipping) you would think the quality would be a little better. read more

There's nothing that can be said about this place that will change my mind; this is one of the most fun and unique shops in Cleveland. If I had the money, I'd own pretty much everything that hits the shelves here. When I first came in, I knew exactly what I wanted. I had a Groupon and had been eyeballing a sweatshirt for months. When I finally got around to visiting the store and scoping out this adored sweatshirt, I found that they didn't have my size and there was nothing I wanted more. The lovely ladies working here at the time cooperated beyond expectations and made sure I got my name on the waiting list for the next order of the sweatshirts and my size. I couldn't believe how nice they were about it, especially because I had been dragging my feet on using my Groupon. Completely my fault, but they still made sure that I was happy and got what I wanted. When I came back for my sweatshirt, I found myself tempted with the thought of buying just about everything else. I snagged a fantastic scarf with the guardians of traffic (my favorite Cleveland landmark) on it, a Cleveland pint glass and a sticker that's one of many I imagine I'll be creating a collection of. The addition of Barry Gott's artwork was thrilling as well, since I had already started ordering and collecting his work from Etsy. Everything here is exciting, adorable, tempting and, of course, a wonderful way to flaunt your love for Cleveland or make sure everyone in your family and friend circle has a little bit of Cleveland love in their lives. read more

Nice designs. Over priced. Found similar designs for 1/3 of the price on Amazon. I was given a free shipping code in store that did not work on the website. I asked to have my order cancelled which they did and they proceeded to basically berate me for not supporting a local business. Amazon has a warehouse in Twinsburg and is in the planning stages of adding two more in North Randall and Euclid supporting about 3000 jobs additional jobs. read more

What a great store representing CLE. They give the customary nod to all the sport teams with the hats and tees etc, but they have some really cool one of a kind stuff too. Local art, which I'm big on, is definitely well represented here in original and print forms. They have magnets, which I collect from places I travel to, but they also have some really cool mini wooden canvas magnets that I have not seen anywhere else. Friendly workers who knew something about the local artists when I asked them a question. This store is in a great spot and there is stuff in here for visitors and veteran locals alike - check it out. read more

Even if you're not in the market for CLE souvenirs, artwork, decor, or clothing, this place is so much fun to just walk through! So much city pride. The shirts are unique and totally badass. Seriously one of my favorite spots down by E. 4th. I want everything the store has to offer. The coolest thing I have found is an artwork print of Jack Frost Donuts made by a local artist, Amber. Went to the East 4th location about a week ago. I had always looked at their products online but was nervous to buy as I didn't know the quality of the fabrics and such (sometimes custom shirts/hoodies can be more scratchy than they are comfortable). Was delighted to find how soft and durable everything was. I ended up purchasing one of the Cavs blue/orange t-shirts. The throw back designs they have are the best and the designs are creative and all about Cleveland. What's not to love? read more

There are so many creative graphic t-shirts that give a shout out to the local businesses, events, architecture, etc. that make Cleveland unique. It's great if you're looking to find a sports related t-shirt for any of the local teams without paying team shop prices for a jersey (and also way cooler with a edgy graphic). The only things that could make this place better would be more variety and cheaper prices. My first purchase here was the "Hello Cleveland" t-shirt that I picked up before a Steel Panthers concert right around the corner at House of Blues - how perfect is that! (If you're unfamiliar with Steel Panther and have an affinity for 80's hair bands, a sense of humor and you don't easily get offended, then check them out - you're welcome). The fit of the t-shirts are all very flattering and so comfy. T-shirts are the most prevalent items for sale here, but they also have some cute totes, greeting cards, bookmarks, etc. I believe most of the graphics come from local artists. The inventory is constantly being updated here, so if you see something you like, jump on it! I had my heart broken when in a moment of frugalness I passed up a t-shirt for 10¢ Beer Night at Municipal Stadium, and came back later to find they were sold out and wouldn't get anymore in. They did give me a tip to go online www.homage.com as that particular t-shirt was not one of their brand. I try to swing by the store every couple weeks, as I always find something new to adore here. Originally being from Northeast Ohio, I'm a big Cleveland sports fan. Now that I live in Columbus, I find it difficult to find team apparel that I like, especially for women. I found out about CLE Clothing Co. online and really liked their designs. As I was already planning a trip up to Cleveland to visit a friend, I thought I'd stop by the shop to see the shirts in person. The shop is very cool and the girl working was super nice. I ended up buying four shirts and two buttons (Whoops!). The ladies' shirts do run super small (They're American Apparel shirts), so I'm glad I went to see them instead of buying online. I defy you to find a city with a cooler visitors' center gift shop than this fine establishment. I have to control myself when I come here, lest I buy one of everything. The t-shirts are mostly made by American Apparel, and I like the way they feel and the way they fit, as well as their durability. My CLE hoodie is literally my favorite article of clothing, and I'll have a hard time putting it away for the summer. They also carry some very stylish prints and tote bags. With a store like this and an online presence, you have no excuse not to show your Cleveland pride. read more
