Spiders kept coming in at the same rate as before the spray, at times, two per day. Carpenter ants and carpenter bees were also spotted in their same spots. This is after major renovation with new white paint, new floors, 8' flat ceiling, and a fairly empty house. It was easy to see spiders and their patterns of nesting in the corners. Plus the guy said I had to pay for the year-long service until I insisted that I hadn't been told that would be the case nor asked if that's what I wanted. Then he allowed me to pay for one time. A very positive first experience with Sono-Marin, who I called and were able to come out the same day. I had an only-in-Mill Valley wildlife control service issue to resolve (no delicate way to say it, dead raccoon who found a quiet, safe place to die, in my crawl space under the house) and I was not happy. These are the pleasures of living close to wildlife and I needed to fix this asap. I got a hold of Tyler, the owner. He was very positive, thoughtful and responsive and immediately called and diverted one of his reps out to the house to help us with the removal. I was grateful not to have to deal with this myself, and want to note that a significant number or local pest control services I called told me they "don't do that sort of thing" and gave me referral numbers that lead nowhere (disconnected, or out of area) and I was starting to get worried that I was on my own. But Tyler and his crew were very responsive. In addition to the removal, which thanks to them was quick and easy, they showed me photos that made it clear a small space left around piping installed during new construction was just large enough for a small animal to enter our crawlspace. I can now correct this via my contractor. I learned they are a new business, open just about a year, and they seem honest and reasonably priced for the industry. They issued a electronic invoice on the spot, and I paid easily the same day through their easy to use online system. I was put in contact w/ several Pest control Co's thru Yelp. I recently in the last week noticed an Ant problen in the kitchen area. I purchased the home 2 years ago last month. Never had any issues. 3 of the Co's reached out over the weekend. Nature Science quoted me $250.00 w/out even asking to come look at my house and the issues. New West told me they could NOT help because they were too busy. Atco Pest quoted me over $200.00 w/out coming to home. I am happy they have more business than they know what to do with but they were a no show for my first appointment claiming they got held up then I had to wait 2 weeks for my next appointment. Again the day of they canceled claiming heavy traffic and they never even called me to reschedule. When I called them back it was another 2 week wait. So now I am waiting 6 weeks for them only because they did not need my business. There is no excuse for rude. So instead of waiting now 6 weeks I found WE CARE PEST SOLUTIONS They are the best. I caught the Rat. Somehow I caught it in a cabinet. It's alive as well... Now, what? It's alive in there with no trap and I didn't want it to escape back into the garage. It was about 3pm on a weekday, I contacted five pest companies... only two actually picked up the phone. The other guys said they "wouldn't come out" to assist me with my rodent problem because I only needed a single service call and not ongoing monthly service. This was a big time company that has been around for decades and they will never have my business after that experience. Then I called Sono-Marin Pest... well, to start, they picked up the phone. About two hours later they were at my house and helped me get this uninvited Norway Rat out of our garage. They also came back a week later and sealed our garage with high quality weather stripping to eliminate rodents access to our garage going forward. I was so delighted with the responsiveness, quality, and just the sheer fact that even though I wasn't in need of ongoing service the quality of the service Sono-Marin Pest provided was quite noteworthy.
