This is a family-owned business that really knows their stuff. We had a rat problem 3 years ago and they showed up on a weekly basis and found all entrance areas and set traps. They came out weekly as long as there was a problem. Rats are back and we are using them again. Very professional and nice people. We have tried other exterminators and were disappointed. We had rats get into the crawl space and into our ducting. Before replacing ducts it was recommended that we get rat abatement and the basement sealed up. These guys were very diligent at locating every possible way in that the little buggers had found, sealing them up, and followed up weekly for a month be certain the problem solved. These guys are terrific. I live in the country so mice and rats are often a battle. First they worked on my main house, I was so impressed I hired them again and again on 4 other buildings. We've used their services twice and couldn't be happier. First time they helped us to get rid of rats in the crawl space of the house 3 years ago and did a fantastic job sealing entrance points. In an original service visit, RES placed a number of traps in our attic, garage, and crawl space. Part of the agreed upon scope of work is that they would come and check the traps once per week for 4 weeks, which they did, but that they would also remove all of the traps on the last visit. The traps were removed from the garage but they did not remove the traps from the attic or crawl space. I've requested information from RES about where the traps were placed so that I can locate them and remove them myself, however they are simply ignoring my emails at this point. I guess they're too busy or simply can't be bothered to follow up, even if that follow up is simply that they do not have a record of where the traps were placed. In speaking with another trapping and exclusion company, they said it's a best practice to document the approximate placement of the traps with the service request so different technicians are able to check/remove them at a later date. It's unclear whether RES has this documentation. My advice if engaging the services of RES or any exclusion/trapping company is that you ask for this to be documented - the number of traps and their approximate placement within or outside the home. Better yet, make sure that as part of their final trapping check that they will remove all the traps before they leave. read more

First, they were the only one of the three companies I contacted that offered a 2-year guarantee. They came so many times, always friendly and courteous. Because we have a dog, they put boxes instead of the usual traps in open areas.Also, when it proved difficult to trap rats in my kitchen, they came late one night, after the dog was asleep and set more than a dozen traps in the open, and then came early the next morning to pick them all up. You know these guys are good when another pest control company recommends them. We discovered a mouse problem in our screened in porch. The company that does our regular pest control told us to call Rat Exclusion Service and we couldn't be more grateful they did. Scheduling a free inspection was easy. They returned the call in less than a day. Daniel came out, assessed the area, and gave us photos of what he found so that we could see for ourselves. He made a game plan and then he and Erik came out and sealed up all of the entry points they found. And even vacuumed and cleaned up everything (including the mouse debris!) when they were done. Very, very fair price! They even came back out several weeks later one more little sucker snuck into our screened in porch . . . at no charge! this service served no point. they brought traps for mice while the rat i trapped was huge and could never get into their box style traps. i informed them but they never put out proper traps for rats and so, they never caught anything in them. the added precautions they put around my mobile home, sealing up the skirting was useless as the rats had tunneled their way under the house and had entered through holes behind the fridge and washer and dryer. they never offered to try to find out how the rats were getting in. i had to move, selling the house at a lower price than i should have asked because of the rats. it cost over a thousand dollars for this non exclusion service. read more

This service is THE BOMB! First of all, they have a fully automated AI service, "AVA," for making your appointment, which was unsettling because of how good it was at getting my information correct. But, once I realized I had made a scheduling mistake, I called back and opted for a human on my second call. My message was promptly returned by a lady who was extremely friendly and professional. I was able to get an appointment within two days. Erik showed up and walked me through their process to address the problem. They guarantee their work, and are as friendly and professional as you would hope for from any service. But - unfortunately for the rats - they are also like rabid terriers fighting a guerrilla war against scurrying invaders... not something you would expect from... ummm... non-rat exclusion services. Not all places will check traps and dispose of rats without "extra fees." Some places will only set traps and expect customers to check the traps on their own. Very glad that Rat Exclusion looked into the crawl space weekly for checking the traps without charging extra fees. I didn't really bother to compare price differences between places that check traps versus those who don't check traps. The place that didn't check traps told me it wasn't necessary to check traps , but the idea of rat carcasses just remaining under my house sounded unappealing. I thought about the smell of rotting rats; the other company told me I wouldn't smell anything. I only know if that's true or not. Regardless of fees, I'm glad that Rat Exclusion had all-inclusive fees. Thankfully we never found any more rats, aside from the one that I found by myself in the washing machine. read more

I did not use this service, but must extend my gratitude to these fabulous employees anyhow! Two employees were driving down my street- a main road through the country- and stopped in the pouring rain to assist my escaped duck on the side of the road who they believed was injured. Came and inspected my home in November- we mostly wanted to take preventative measures having found a few droppings in our garage when we were moving in. They were super honest that there was only one simple entry point that needed to be fixed-The garage door seal. Price to replace ours was reasonable and they promptly fixed it- no problems. 5 stars are not enough for this company. Our condo had rat issues, The Rat Exclusion Service team came out sealed up a hole where the critters were coming in, set traps and came by to maintain. With the rain we had another visit from a big stinky rat that got caught up on the trap the team set. I called on a Sunday and they were at my place Monday to clear the lil guy from the trap, use an awesome spray that neutralized the smell, and reset the trap for any future rats that feel like stopping by. They also checked to see if we had other holes to block. This company goes above and beyond for the customer. Nice that it's a local family company. I heard loud scratching noises on my concrete tile roof one night, followed by what sounded like scampering noises in the walls, so I reached out to friends for a recommendation. I couldn't resist the name of this service, so after reading reviews, I had Erick come out to check out the situation. He thoroughly checked the foundation, the roof beams, and the attic. I was relieved to learn that while rats had been on my roof, they had not come inside the house. I had the trees cut back away from the house and moved the bird feeder away (which had been acting as bait). We live in a rental currently, but because of fruit trees and location of the house there were rats in the yard when we moved in. We started hearing them under the house shortly thereafter, but since they never tried to come inside I didnt much care. Probably from watching too much Cinerella and wanting to help out GusGus. But then we had a baby and I heard them more in the walls and I freaked out. After calling a few places we decided on RES, no poison to harm my dogs, and a really nice woman on the phone who didnt laugh at my dramatic panicked rambling. Every single team member is amazing. They're friendly, nice to my dogs, say hi to my kid, and they stand behind their work.
