Been coming to Cleancut Barber for about 17 years. Paul has been cutting my hair since I was a kid so at this point I don't really even need to explain my haircut anymore lol. But I've also seen plenty of other people come in, explain what they want, and leave satisfied with their cuts. Over the years I've gotten all kinds of hairstyles here too fades, tapers, spiked hair, mohawks, comb overs, etc. so they definitely know what they're doing. The vibe is chill and welcoming. They usually have around 3 barbers working, so if one is busy and you're short on time another barber might be available. You can also call ahead and ask how long the wait is or just walk in and see if they're packed that day. Overall just solid service and good people. I was killing some time in Garden grove, and it was hot so I wanted to get a quick cut. I came in here and only one customer was getting a cut. They had other barber available to cut your hair, I guess I miss the rush which works out great for me. She did a great job on doing a high fade for me after asking how I wanted cut. Nothing too exciting or unique in style wise. But for the price and the time she put into it earned the extra star in the review. PAUL!! The go to barber here is Paul and is the first chair from the right when you walk in. Haircuts are $14 sincerely you can't beat that especially how expensive things are right now. Try to avoid the ONLY lady that is here, her chair is in the middle and if you're in a rush the older gentleman at the last chair is also the second best option here. Everyone waits for Paul though. I love how fast he cuts hair, other shops just for ONE cut it's OVER an hour. Pros: Price is $14 Paul is pretty quick! This is an update to my review because I am very pleased! It was 14.50 base price this time, not sure why, but who cares, it's cheaper than anywhere else. I had such a good time. I made an appointment one hour before going, did not wait at all. Everyone kept masks on the whole time. They were cool with me keeping in my airpods so I closed my eyes and listened to my podcast. I am sorry to say, but I cheated on my barber. I was desperate to get a haircut and this place seemed to have great reviews. So after I went to church and repent, I felt okay with my decision. I was greeted by one of the barbers. Asked me to have a seat. I did. I sat down and saw a clean shop. I noticed a TV with Nat Geo on. So that kept me entertained for like 2 minutes before another barber appeared from a magical door and voila. I was getting a haircut. I explained how I wanted my haircut and as she was doing her magic, she asked if that's how I wanted my cut and I confirmed. The whole experience was phenomenal. At the end of the haircut, she showed me the final product and amazing! The great thing is that she kept the mask on my face. She would hold the strap back as she worked on a side and then do the other side. The prices are super reasonable and super quick. Highly recommended. STOP RIGHT HERE!! This barbershop is underrated! How clean and well maintained it is. The barber is gentle and not rushed. He cleans his tools and he uses all his tools to give you the best possible haircut. There's AC, tv, functional restroom. The prices are crazy good. I've been trying new barbers because COVID got in the way of my dedicated barber. After 5 different cuts, I went by Walk-in to this place because I was curious, now I will be coming here for my cuts. It's about 30-35minutes per cut so I recommend appointment. There's a lot of open parking and the 6ft apart rule stands, this shop passes inspection for sure. Came in for a buzz the other day. Request was pretty simple.. "Half inch buzz, all around". The gentlemen cutting my hair nodded and sat me down. There was a bit of a language barrier, but he laughed and said something about a "normal hair cut". I reiterated "Just to make sure, 1/2 inch buzz cut... all around right?" He said "Yes" and started cutting. Well, I didn't get my 1/2 in buzz. I'm assuming he gave me some kind of a "Normal haircut", as it was just... generally shorter? My usual barber was booked for 2 weeks out and I desperately needed a haircut, so I saw the pics and reviews on Yelp and thought I'd give them a try. An older lady took me in. I showed her a video of my typical low fade haircut and she said she could do it. Are you sure you can do this? Yes. So she gets going and her methods were different than my typical awesome barber, but I was set on not making a judgement until she was "finished". Once everything was done, I saw the final product and asked her to fix a few things, she said "oh ok" and did more work, only to literally not change anything. Whatever, paid the $11 and gave her a healthy tip (I know, my fault for this work). Got in my car to see the hair massacre, and decided to go fix it at another place. I ended up paying for a whole other haircut at Supercuts just so they can fix it. I'm sure that the young guy would have done a good job, but I won't be back to give them another shot at it. We came here during the first year of the pandemic and they would do a decent job. Plus 12 dollars for a kids haircuts was a steal. They raised prices though and now it's 14 dollars for a kids haircut. The quality has also gone down. The older lady doesn't not like men having long hair and will cut it really short and uneven. I don't know why she's even working if she does not do the style you want. KEEP AWAY from her. The older man is what most people wait for but my husbands haircut was also cut uneven on one side. Sometimes it's best to just retire if it's too hard to cut hair. I didn't mind the 12 dollars because you get what you pay for but if you're raising prices you should get better quality work. PLEASE LET THAT LITTLE OLD LADY STOP CUTTING HAIR. Will never come here again. Rather pay the 25 dollars a person then have a haircut I didn't ask for. read more

I've been coming to this barbershop since I first moved to OC about 4 years ago. Paul is extremely welcoming, professional and friendly. He says hello and thank you to every single customer who walks in and out of his shop, you can tell he appreciates his customers. After a few months of coming to his barber shop he remembers my haircut every week and does it exactly how i like it every single time. I come to Paul on a weekly basis, usually Friday or Saturday. It can get a little packed during peak hours because a lot of customers like to wait for Paul but he is definitely worth the wait. My first time here. And my last. Avoid the older gentleman, if you can! Dude completely f*cked up my hair - I like my hair long, so I tell him that I need a mid-fade, hard part, and just a trim on the top. He proceeds to tell me that he's "old fashioned" and thinks my hair will be "too long" with the way that I want it. Before I could say anything, bzzzzt. I see 3-4 inches of my hair fall to the floor and what appears to be a buzz cut emerge from what used to be an undercut fade. I was livid and it was already beyond salvageable. Wtf dude. Then he preceded to tell me how he has 50 years of experience and refused to cut my hair how I asked. I wasn't very pleased. I should have gotten up and left but I didn't. In the end it was a good cut, just not the cut I wanted. My second visit. Big Daddy's was closed, and I was really set on getting a haircut today. So I went here again. This time around I had my hair cut by a different barber named Paul. I was very happy with my haircut. Paul did not question my request and did a good job. Price for "Regular" Men's Haircuts is $8.
