I came here with my son on Monday looking for a hair cut. Abu Zaid was so kind to take us both without any prior reservation. He was very cheerful and hospitable and he offered us several times drinks while we were waiting for our turns. He gave my son a beautiful hair cut and was kind enough to engage with my 12 years old in a conversation my son was very happy and asked me to come back here again. Eddy totally hooked me up - I waited until the day of my wedding to get the most fresh cut possible, and he totally surpassed my expectations. He was kind, funny, brewed me some Arabic tea, and cut it EXACTLY the way I requested it. He then took an unforeseen turn and asked me to go home, shower, get dressed up for the ceremony, and come back on my way. I've never had a more horrible experience getting a haircut in my entire life. Honestly, this is actually the worst barber shop I have ever been to. I was shocked at the fact that this place is even in business. I will never regain the confidence I once had for this place. Unfortunately, it was the only one open late at the time and I was willing to try them out due to their late hours. I paid a visit during a company business trip and I had a meeting with clients early the next morning so I was honestly in great need of a quick solution. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by a man who has just finished smoking a cigarette and walked in to greet me. He walked me over to a chair in the back area and removed my jacket and just threw it onto the dirty seat of a couch, there were no coat hangers or anything. Please clean the opened razor blazes and trash that is scattered all over the floor or I may be obliged to file an official sanitary complaint with the city. As soon as I was seated in my chair, I immediately noticed how much rubbish, hair, and dead dried skin there were on the floor and tables. This establishment is old, filled with garbage, and a potential disaster area for anyone looking for quality service. I'm not sure if it was because I arrived during the later hours but this place was in complete shambles and the unprofessional, impolite attitude of the employees were not helping me feel anymore welcomed. We finally get started with my haircut and the self-proclaimed barber who volunteered to cut my hair immediately gives me a bald spot within the first 30 seconds of doing his job. I do not recall asking for a complete bald shave in the middle of my head and clearly remember specifically requesting a simple fade and line up. He apologizes to me insincerely, not expressing genuine emotions or any empathy, and at this point I'm completely pissed off. The other employees overhear our conversation and are starting at us in complete shock. He then offers to make it up to me with a hot towel and a complimentary facial treatment. I'm not sure how this can fix that fact that he just shaved the middle of head completely bald. He ended up shaving off all of my hair to a "0" to even it out with the bald spot he created. I ended up attending a very important meeting the next day completely bald due to this idiot. This place is a complete waste of time and I will never be a returning customer here again. There are many other shops in the area that have an excellent reputation for delivering great service and professional treatment for this price range. I honestly thought that I was entitled to a complete refund for this fool's poor job of cutting my hair. I ended up paying because I seriously I felt that they were ready to call the police because of us arguing and I didn't want any problems. I wish I never came here and just waited until the next day to go somewhere else. It was my understanding that this was supposed to be a barber shop, not a circus full of clowns. I have never before experienced such awful service at any barber shop. Extremely disappointing and disrespectful experience. read more

Unfortunately, came back for a follow up cut for my boyfriend tonight since we were so satisfied with the last cut by Eddy. There was only 1 barber here tonight, didn't catch his name. We waited for over 30 minutes for him to not only finish his dinner but to take a smoke break. He finished his dinner and came to the waiting area and said, "mind if i have a smoke?" Came in needing a haircut just in time for the new year. Most of the shops around my area of West Fullerton and Buena Park were closed. After a brief search on Yelp, I found this place, still open on a Sunday. Eddie greeted me with a kindness and a kind of energy you don't see much from other places. He took his time cutting my hair, even offering to wash my hair and trim my beard while he was at it. My haircut came out extremely well, a lot better than I expected. Legit, the worst haircut I've received in my entire life. First of all, the owner is sitting in the front... smoking... mad dogging everyone that's walking by. I go in and get seated, explaining exactly what type of haircut I want. I can already tell that this was gonna be bad. He starts clipping my hair nonchalantly and then eventually gets to his scissors... BRO, are you using kindergarten scissors to cut my hair?! I was mortified. It didn't help that the whole time, him and his assistant were speaking and laughing in their foreign language. They could have been insulting me the whole time for all I know. The haircut is done and I go over to the back to receive my free shampoo. It was more like a free shower because the assistant had water pouring over my face, down my neck and into my shirt, ALONG WITH ALL THE PARTICLES OF HAIR! I'm not sure who in the world reviewed this spot and gave so many five star ratings, but y'all must be blind cuz I flipped out when I showered and saw the remains of my hair. Went for a quick haircut and I notice there's only 1 barber, he did not know how to cut hair. The guy that he was cutting walked out looking with a mixture of a undercut and a fade. I was nervous to go next , but I said " I wear hats all the time" " what can go wrong? If I can wear a hat for a week or two then I will. The money of truth came, the guy prior to me had a fucked up haircut.. I felt bad for the dude. Looked like a nice guy and now a fucked up haircut. For sure he was guna get made fun of.
