I was in Anaheim for the weekend and needed a last minute cut. Found this spot thru Yelp/Google and was not disappointed. Scheduled an appointment with Anthony; staff was welcoming, shop was clean, and didn't have to sit around and wait. Cut was perfectly done, explained it once to the barber and he knocked it out. Really solid skin fade and good scissor work on the top. Shop also has a bar and TV for those who prefer a drink while they sit, something to watch. read more

I told him I want a two-block, and the guy asked me back what a two-block was. Throughout the cut, he keep asking me to move my head out loud instead of adjusting it himself. While I was looking for the reservation, I got a text message that my appointment had been moved to 12:45. Having thick hair on olive skin, every error in a fade shows and I have 3 cowlick's . Im worry free w bell though, she went to cosmetology school so she really understand the hair. I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut since I moved and my place of 10 years is now too far away. I looked at a couple of shops but nothing felt right, until this one. Nice and welcoming staff in a very nice area! Flip was fantastic and asked all the right questions in terms of length, style of cut, desired styling, everything! Very friendly and (since I'm new to the area) gave me a bunch of great recommendations for local food and shops to visit. I like a combover and my hair at varying lengths for the right look, Flip got it perfect. First time I have ever walked in someplace for a first time haircut and they got it right on the first go! Definitely found my new spot and could not recommend Flip more, especially to those looking for a barber / barbershop but are nervous about trying someone new! read more

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I had a cut where I was truly satisfied until yesterday. I lost contact with my first barber who pretty much set the bar and unfortunately no one else has been quite the same. The barber shop next to my work was closed for a little over a week and I needed a cut ASAP. My other barber was booked, so I consulted yelp and discovered Single Barrel. Flip was mentioned numerous times and had appointments that weren't too early or too late, so I ran with it. Getting a haircut from a new barber always kinda makes me nervous, but after awhile into the cut, I felt relieved. I could tell Flip was very meticulous about his work and took his craft seriously. He took his time and every movement felt deliberate and confident, so I knew I was in good hands especially once I started to see how the fade was coming along. I walked outta that place feeling like a million bucks. My line up was crispy, the fade was the perfect level and gradient, and he knew to thin out my hair. He even advised not trimming the top since it was already pretty short and any shorter would have my hair sticking up, rather than laying and combing left. Very sound advice. If you're tired of settling like me or if you just need a new barber in general, do not look over Flip. I guarantee this dude will get you right. The cuts here *are* pretty expensive, but I gotta say, it's definitely worth it. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 2:30, and arrived with my barber in the middle of giving a different client a haircut. Now I understand if he was almost finished (which to my experience, he said he almost was), but he was still cutting away at the client's hair at 2:55. I'm not a fan of my service being late by half an hour, especially when I have somewhere else to be. The worst part is that my "appointment" couldn't be canceled. Possibly the worst haircut experience I've ever had. Booked online twice for haircuts and both times I arrive to find out that my barbers was not only not available, but were not even in the building. Today I sat for 25 minutes waiting for my appointment, and finally asked. Another barber told me that my barber was not there. He even attempted to call him to no avail. All the other barbers were busy and all I got was a "sorry about that" after wasting my time. I live and work in this community and try to support the businesses near me, but this is not one that I can support. Wasted over an hour of my morning, and I still don't have a haircut. I can understand this could happen once, but not multiple times? How about a call to at least let people know that you won't be there so I don't waste my time coming there. read more

Wow!! Daniel is amazing! We were in the area visiting my daughter, and I was in dire need of a haircut. My wife, who went to cosmetology school, has been cutting my hair since covid. Due to an unfortunate incident involving a bench seat and me sitting on her hand, she was unable to cut my hair. We called for an appt and were able to get in last minute. Daniel gave me a scissor cut, not with electric clippers. That is truly a dying art, most barbers opt for the clippers since it is faster. He took the time to give me a great haircut. I went two months before my neded to cut it again. It looked good for that long! The service was nice, but the man cutting my hair messed up. How do you not understand the video I showed you? The point of a mod cut is its length and texture, but he cut everything off and charged $40. It seemed like the person cutting my hair was new. I made him watch a full video and he said he understood what it was, but then he cut everything off, which wasn't in the video at all. I don't understand how he messed up the easiest cut ever. All he needed to do was trim and add some texture powder, but instead he thought cutting everything off was good. I'm not saying every barber there is terrible, but be careful with the one you choose. I've had the pleasure of having Chelsea as my barber for the past 3 1/2 years and I've gone to many different barbers in the OC from Fullerton to Santa Ana, even Long Beach, but nobody has cut my hair better than Chelsea. I travel from Tustin just to get a hair cut. I've been seeing her for as long as I've been seeing my girlfriend, now fianceé and telling her the progression of my first relationship from beginning to wedding planning has definitely made for some fun conversation. I've never felt more comfortable with a barber and usually I'm the quiet type where I'm just there to get my haircut and get out, but she makes any and all conversation super easy.
