I have been coming to the Anaheim District Barber for several years. It used to only be in my rotation, but Danny gives a good haircut and his shop is full of characters, so I'm all in at this point. After driving by this place like a thousand times I finally decided to give them a try while on my way back home from grocery shopping and I'm glad I did. Location: Located on Anaheim Blvd. between Ball and Harbor Ave. close to the Anaheim Packing District. This site only offers street parking so be prepared a little if there is no parking in front. Atmosphere: This place is totally cool on the inside and I just loved the way the decorated this shop. While being seated the owner offered me some beverages and or beer on the house and I loved that. Getting buzzed while getting buzzed, lol. They also play cool music which I loved. Service: Men's haircuts are $20 but Alfredo gave me a special deal which I greatly appreciated. My haircut was done in a professional manner and I was happy with the service I received. Come and see Genesis here at Boulevard Barbers! He gives a great cut and was nice enough to take me in as a walk-in. ( Although I got lucky, he recommends making an appointment in order to avoid waiting). I can tell he loves his craft and it shows in his work! Boulevard Barbers is separated into 3 sections with one section of Barbers to the left, lobby in the middle, and one section to the right as you enter the door. There are drinks in the lobby and a TV, some chill music and plenty to keep one entertained. Fine check out this unassuming barber shop. You won't regret it. Look the guys that run the shop are very nice people. But my experience a few months ago was definitely not ideal. The dude was very nice but the conversation he was having with one of the customers may be slightly uncomfortable, which, normally I would just shrug off, but he didn't do a very good job with the haircut I was asking for. He offered a Gentlemans cut, and I had never heard anyone call the kind of haircut. I was looking for that before, so I agreed. And in the reality it was a haircut I could've done myself at home. Which is what I did a few months later when I needed another cut. I was also slightly irritated because it's cash only now and there wasn't any signage that suggested that. So I had to run all the way to the bank and then all the way back which was an extra 20 minutes. I think if you're looking for a very specific kind of haircut, this might be the place for you, but it wasn't for me. But again, the owner is really nice, which is why I'm giving this three stars read more

I've got my own clippers and an old-school razor and have been doing a DIY mohawk for a while now...but being meticulous with the razor gets tedious after a while. I was feeling lazy, so I decided to check out this shop to see if they could clean up the 'hawk. I've been there twice this summer, and Robert did my cut both times; He's done a kickass job maintaining the 'hawk and cleaning off the rest. He even tapered it up a bit near the neckline. They do nice beard trims too. The employees were very welcoming, and the shop has a cool, low-key vibe. It's downtown Anaheim, so the parking can be tough...but that's not really the fault of the barber shop. Go when they aren't busy, and you're golden. read more

He gave us both the same haircut, did not even fade at all, and took over an hour each cut because of all the talking across the shop. Just about the worst barber I've been to. I called ahead, was given a time, showed up 5 minutes early and had to wait 50 minutes. Ok. I asked for a fade - but you can clearly see the line where he initially cut in and never bothered to fade it in properly. I also specified to keep the hair longer in the front, the guy ignored it and did the whole top with one number trimmer and then had the gall to tell me to just use a stronger gel. Oh, and the guy took a 10 minute personal call halfway through my cut. Damn shame when the closest shop to me, where I'd be a customer 10 every 10 days can't even give a decent cut, let alone provide decent service, so I'll have to drive instead of walk just to give someone else my business, as I'm obviously never coming back. read more

I brought both my sons in for a haircut and I was very happy with all of the barbers' attitudes. They were more than happy to make my boys feel comfortable and my boys did not fuss once! My little one typically hates getting his haircut especially with the machine, but his barber was so gentle that he stayed completely still. A female barber cut my older son's hair and she did great! Both barbers did amazing! I also purchased a hair product from them (idk if it's gel or pomade) and it works well for both my sons. My little one has straight hair and my older son has curly hair and the product is perfect for both of their hair type. I'm glad I found this place on Yelp.
