No nonsense, perfect fade every time, at a great price with the shortest wait you've ever had at a barber shop. Lee is THE barber at this shop, so you won't have to awkwardly turn down a different barber if he's already cutting hair, not that you'll be waiting very long anyway. Bring cash. There is no ATM near here. Very small shop, zero ambience, so don't expect to hang. Parking is in the back, and there always seems to be at least a few open spots. Came in here for a quick, inexpensive haircut, and I got just that. All I needed for my hair was a quick fade on the sides and the back (because at the time I am growing the top part of my hair). Mr. Lee was very soft spoken, quiet, but straight to the point at what I wanted to be done to my hair. While I was getting the fade done, I will point out he used this really rough bristle brush that felt like a sharp metal comb was scraping the side of my head every time he brushed off excess hair. Stil though, he cut my hair a little bit in the direction I had wanted anyway. Overall I ended up paying $9 for the cut (price was $8 since it was a fade), and the entire cut took around 8 min! Quickest cut ever. This is certainly one of those you get what you pay for situations. No conversation straight cut and get out! I walked in, there was one guy in a chair already. He was done almost as quickly as I was sitting. Lee (I assume was his name) said next so I quickly sat in the chair. He said "what do you want' I said Pompadour. He said ok, began cutting and before I knew it he was done. It was a $6 haircut and thats what he gave me. It was not bad at all. When I go to get a haircut, my attitude is similar to that of NFL football player Marshawn Lynch. "I'm not here to answer questions. I'm just here to get a haircut." And that is exactly what you get when you go to Lee Barber. From time to time I need a haircut, but I don't particularly enjoy getting the actual haircut. I get sleepy. My former barber, I really do love her, but she yapped and yapped and by the time she had finished I would need a nap. Lee is so fast I'm outta the chair and getting my wallet out to pay him before I even have a chance to fall asleep. I don't need a nap afterwards. Also, he cuts hair real good. Now, a couple of weeks ago, he took some time off. When he finally returned from his vacay, I went back and encountered a line that was about 10 deep. When I finally got to the barber's chair, I could tell he was weary from having to deal with the backlog of customers. He does this thing where, when he goes from one side of your head to the other, he transfers the clippers behind his back. Like everything else he does, this transfer is usually done fast and fluidly. I could tell that on this day, however, the backlog of customers had taken its toll and the behind the back transfer was not as smooth. Breaking a couple years hiatus to leave a review for Lee Barber. That's how awesome the experience was! I recently moved back to the LA/OC area and have tried a couple different barbershops - Legends and A La Mirada Barbershop. These places are fantastic as well, but if you need a quick/cheap cut and are in the area, do stop by Lee's. I walked in and was seated with no wait. I quickly explained my desired cut: a zero fade with the top trimmed, and Lee (Mr. Lee? Mr. Barber?) understood. And boom, in 10 minutes I had a super clean fade. He's quick but precise, and the cut was $8 (before tip). Yup, I have a simple cut/style, but I'm confident that he'll do just as well with most other styles. I needed to find a more reasonable place to get my haircuts. Normally I would go to Supercuts, as I have been going there for years. But with it costing me about $20 (with tip) each time, I knew I had to find something a little less expensive. I started to search for barbers in the area. Lee Barber was close to me, but I couldn't place exactly where it was. I drive to the location and couldn't believe the location. I have driven by the building so many times, little did I know that there was a barber shop in there. I get there, and I am the only one. The barber indicates for me to sit on the chair and asks what I want. I tell him how I would like my haircut and he starts on it. Five to ten minutes later, I am done. I've been getting my haircut with Lee for quite sometime and I have never had any problems. The main thing I like about this barber shop is that your in and out. Its not like those Barbers that have all those new young guy barbers that take forever and overcharge for your haircut. Lees specialty are fades. He does need some work on learning how to give more modern haircuts like a proper taper fade. But for 8 bucks you can not go wrong! read more

I got to Lee when I'm pressed for time and I need a quick cut. Lee will have you in and out that chair before you can even get the seat warm. His fades are all over the place. Some days he is spot on, other days the cut is completely off and uneven. Like some other dude said "you get what you pay for". So when Lee is off I don't even bother to point it out to him because he only charges $8 after all. I took off one additional star because his shop could really use some Glade or Fabreeze. There's a weird overpowering stench as soon as you walk in. If you're looking for a more professional cut. Go to Eva's on Lincoln. The only problem with that barber shop is they take forever to get to you and the cuts are expensive. read more
