I normally get a cut every two weeks, but theirs was so well-done that it's been a month and I've been hesitant to go somewhere else since I visited them on a trip to California. This is the only place I take both my sons to. Chunkz has been cutting my sons hair for about 3 years now and from the very first cut he has always delivered in what I asked for. But most important for me, was the fact that my son was very fearful of haircuts due to his mild autism, but Chunkz has always been so good with him that he now sits through a haircut with no problem. I had made a Booksy reservation with Orlando for today over a month ago. I had traveled to Anaheim from out of town, and didn't have a car, so I arrived by Lyft. I arrived today to find the barbershop closed. The sign said it was closed on Monday. Confused and upset, I left. Orlando texted me 16 minutes afterwards to tell me he was running late. He proceeded to give me some excuse about a family medical emergency that had happened the night before as to why he had apparently overslept. While I my heart goes out to his family member if the story is true, the responsible and professional thing to do would have been to notify the customer BEFOFE the appointment time to make future arrangements. I told him I had already left, and how I didn't have a car, so it would not be easy to just go back to the barbershop. And the dude OFFERED TO PICK ME UP. I'm sorry, I'm not going to get into a complete stranger's car to pick me up so he doesn't lose his appointment. Unprofessional. Unsafe understanding of personal boundaries.
