This is something Farragut is badly in need of: healthier fare. Came for lunch I got a bowl with kale & quinoa, turkey burnt ends, root veggies, edamame and green peppers. I was worried I didn't pick very harmonious selections and it would be bad. But it ended up being really good. Especially the turkey burnt ends. Staff was friendly and welcoming of newcomers as well. And they look to have dinners you can heat at home which might be worth trying. Good choice if you want something healthier. read more

Pretty good option for healthy eating. They have a variety of cooked/prepared food that you can order and eat here (or get it to-go). My favorite is their bowls that you can build with salmon, beef, chicken, etc. and add veggies (asparagus, mushroom, etc). They also have freezers full of meals that you can buy and heat up for later. Those are like "good quality" easy meals. They have some unique options like jerk chicken and other ethnic food. They have a large inside seating area and attractive outdoor area. Overall: This is the place to go if you want something healthy. Taste isn't sacrificed. Good food that won't make you feel guilty. The meals break down the fat, protein, etc contents and you can choose from pre-made frozen meals or order ready to eat food and eat there. Portions are good and the price seems pretty spot on for the quality. A good local find and a rarity to find healthy food at all. For anyone COVID-conscious, the worker was masked, but fellow patrons were not, nor asked to do so. We ordered two medium build-your-own bowls. Mine with chicken, sweet potatoes, veggies, teriyaki and sweet chili spice(no evident chilies or spice, really). My husband's had shrimp, quinoa/kale blend, veggies, Thai peanut sauce, spicy chipotle spice(slightly smoky BBQ flavor). The medium bowls are served in a round tin bowl with the paper lids. Hubby felt that the price was too high for the portions, but I was fairly satisfied, getting two meals from my bowl. I will say that the sauces were not as flavorful as we had hoped (sadly expected with food that's good for you) and the dish did not reheat very well. The quinoa blend was very dry and will not be chosen again when we give this place a try again. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the edamame were a great addition. The sweet potato cubes were very basic but made a good base. Note that the carrots are shredded, not chunks or slices, not making it a very substantial addition. We both said we would skip carrots next time. The chicken and shrimp were tender and well-cooked. Lastly, we got a container of the protein Buckeyes made with PB2 and protein powder. They were excellent! In general, the concept here is great. On days we are too tired to whip up a meal and want something healthy, we would definitely try Clean Eatz again. Really not enjoyable. Got a flatbread that was just lacking in every way- not gross but I would have been disappointed if I made it from leftovers at home. And got two different smoothies- because I couldn't believe the first one wasn't a mistake. "like a pina-colada" was how it was described, but it tasted like foamy sunscreen. The peanut butter one I got to replace it was also pretty impossible to eat. The texture of both was thick foam and not a cold blended "smoothie" and they were overwhelmingly sweet with that stevia flavor- couldn't get past 3 sips of either. I get they're a "health/diet restaurant" but I thought (based on reviews) it would be better than a grocery-store diet smoothy pouch and a lean-cuisine frozen flatbread. Really good. I love it when healthy is also very tasty, and they've got that combo here. The cranberry chicken wrap was great, and my hub loved the jalapeño bison burger. Sides are healthy, such as tasty vanilla yogurt with fruit and raw veggies with dip. No sodas here - only flavored water, Crystal Light and unsweet tea. Excellent food, I had a bowl which offers a good selection of meats and vegetables, plus a sauce and a spice. The service was very friendly and quick. This place focuses on healthy options and doesn't fail. Unfortunately they do not offer Wi-Fi, which is a big minus as I would have hung out longer and invited others to join me and work a while. The interior temperature was also far too cold, which encouraged me to leave quickly to find someplace warm and comfortable. read more

This restaurant is the living embodiment of a concept great in theory but absolutely abysmal in terms of execution. I desperately wanted to like this restaurant as it is one of the few healthy eateries in all of Knoxville. I have eaten here multiple times in hopes of it filling the local healthy eating void only to be disappointed every single time. Whoever is the chef/cook here has woefully conflated "clean eating" with blandness and appears to have little to no knowledge in terms of flavoring, spices and basic cooking technique. Each dish that I have had here represents all that is wrong with peoples stereotypes and misconceptions in terms of eating a healthy, nutrient rich diet. Health foods to the majority of the population represent rice cakes, kale, and unsatisfying, unsoulful, wet blanket in the mouth blandness. This restaurant unfortunately falls perfectly in line with this stereotype. Owners of this establishment, I am begging you...please find a culinary expert that can help you to revamp the flavor profile of your menu so that your foods are both nutritious and delectable at the same time. I really wanted to love Clean Eatz but haven't been impressed. I love the concept of fresh, healthy, ready to go meals. Each week they send out their menu and you can order a minimum of 5 meals for pick up on Monday. They also have coolers full of frozen entrees as well. I went to Clean Eatz to pick up some lunch. They recently added Beyond Burgers (vegetarian) so I was excited to try them. Lots of other people must have also been excited to try them because they were all out when I got there. . They were super nice though and made me a wrap out of Beyond strips. The Beyond strips were cooked well, which is great because they are VERY easy to dry out. my wrap had a very generous amount of avocado and tomato, and the lettuce was perfectly crunchy. I had some of the melon and cucumber infused water too which I loved! The store itself is very very nice. I love the Knoxville mural and the store is very open and clean. Great layout inside with some additional seating outside. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn't get to look at all the prepped meals. There are huge freezers on the right as you walk in, so you can get as many pre made meals as you want to take home. I'm looking forward to going back and seeing all the options! The cafe has lots of healthy options from burgers to bowls, and even some starters to share! Overall, I loved the store, and I'm looking forward to going back to try more yummy treats! Clean eatz is a cool concept! The store offers several selections for those who are watching their intake on several types of diets. I got a turkey burger and my hubs got the bison. We waited about 10 minutes for our food which isn't bad considering it's made fresh. My burger was a bit dry :( but my husbands was fantastic and very flavorful. They also have grab and go meals and meal prep available for purchase. The store was very clean and the staff was friendly. Skip the turkey burger but give them a try! read more

All the food has a complete Mircos breakdown option if you need it. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Restroom is always clean. We experienced Clean Eatz for the first time after my daughter's swim meet and she was starving. Unfortunately, the food and service did not meet any of our basic expectations. The employee taking our order appeared bored and was more interested in socializing with her co-workers than assisting us with ordering. We ordered smoothies and a create-your-own bowl. The smoothie was delivered promptly, but unfortunately only tasted of the protein additives used as a primary ingredient. The off-putting taste made it virtually impossible to consume. We waited 27 minutes for our bowl to be delivered. Despite the relatively few customers we had to eventually collect our own meals. The taste was below average, and essentially overly steamed vegetables and a bottled salad dressing that could have been prepared at home for a fraction of the cost. The high price point does not match the level of service or quality. However, the establishment was clean and orderly. The overall feel of the restaurant is rather passive aggressive in its mission in promoting its healthy lifestyle brand. Inside, the walls are slapped with slogans looking like "you only have 2 choices: make progress or make excuses." I, for one, will be making a better restaurant choice next time. read more

I have never dined in but I assume the food is probably different than the meal plan meals since other people seem to like it here. I ordered my first meal prep this week hoping I could start to use this service and get my Sundays back..................Nope. I ordered 10 no carb meals the 2 turkey burgers,2 chicken kabos, 3 philly steak bowl, and 3 Asian chicken lettuce wraps it cost 75.00 after tax so I paid about 7.5 per meal. So here is what I got..... Turkey burgers - turkey patty (I assume from the frozen section), one slice of canned pineapple covered in teriyaki sauce and some spring mix lettuce. Chicken Kabos - the chicken is the grilled chicken strips you get out of the freezer section and 6 raw cherry tomatoes, raw onion, and raw zucchini - this meal has no seasonings on it all the veggies are raw and plain. Philly bowl - some kind of mystery pulled beef taste again like a meat from the freezer section, some cheese, and about 6 raw plain broccoli florets (the color is yellowish so not even fresh broccoli) Asian Chicken Wraps - canned chicken with some red cabbage, green onion and carrots and two pieces of wilted lettuce. (this really smells sour) I will never go back again. For almost $7 dollars a meal I would at least expect them to cook/season the veggies and make fresh meats for $7 I can get a salad at chickfila and just not use dressing or grilled nuggets and a fruit cup. I feel like I got ripped off so bad. Some things are to good to be true. I just do not want others to fall for it like I did. I mean for the same amount of effort it took me to drive out there and pick it up I could have put some frozen/canned meat and raw veggies in a container for a lot cheaper. I really hate to write a bad review but I feel others should know what to expect with the meal prep service again I can not speak for the dine in experience or food. read more

Great little place offering clean foods for consumption at the restaurant or frozen carry-out meals for one to prepare later. I ordered salmon on spinach with broccoli with teriyaki salad dressing. Very good quality of salmon and they didn't over cook it . The facility is immaculate and causal. Lots of people were getting meals for the whole week. I have been ordering meals weekly for Monday pick-up since I got injured and cannot shop or cook as many meals as I normally do. Everyone in my family enjoys the meals. I like that there is no added fat or salt. I like to season the meals myself, that way I can control the amount of salt. Sometimes I add my own veggies and fresh herbs to keep things interesting. My family enjoys the meals and it saves me time and money at the grocery store. With my meal plan, meals are around $6 each. I can't get a decent meal at a fast food restaurant for that price, let alone a healthy meal. I recommend clean eats for anyone who wants to save time, save money at the grocery store and clean up their diets. read more

Caveat: this review is for a dine-in experience. I think most of their business is carry-out and stuff they make ahead for a week's worth of meal-planned eats for people who don't like to cook. With all that said, they have solid, healthy, yummy food in a kinda sterile, boring, strip-mall restaurant. The buffalo burger was cooked perfectly! The meat was delicious. It was dressed up very minimally with some teriyaki sauce, jalapeños and pineapple on sandwich thins. The bbq garbanzo beans on the side are super flavorful but served cold. So weird. They would have been amazing warmed up. My chocolate-coffee protein shake for dessert tasted like a protein shake. Meh. I have some take home eats for tomorrow. Maybe I'll update this review if they warrant 4 (or 2) stars. All in all, I'd recommend this place if you're looking for something healthy and tasty to go, but not if you're looking to linger. read more
