We hired "Clean It to the Max" to clean 777 square feet of travertine tile in our home. While the tile itself was in decent condition, the grout had become discolored from regular foot traffic and occasional accidents from our dog. Since we were preparing to sell the home, we wanted the floors to look their best and reached out to this company for a professional cleaning and sealing. The owner and an assistant came out to do the work. While the results were acceptable, we were disappointed in a few key areas. First, they caused damage to a wall corner inside the home, and also backed their truck into a rented dumpster in our driveway. Thankfully, the dumpster wasn't damaged, but we received no apology or offer of compensation for the damage to our property. In terms of cost, we were charged $875. Considering the job took only a few hours and they used readily available consumer-grade products (specifically StonePro products, which can be purchased on Amazon), we felt the price was excessive. Given the quality of the materials, the brief time spent on the job, and the lack of care taken with our property, we do not believe we received good value for the price. read more

We chose Markus because of the many great reviews. For the price he charged I was expecting better results. For $410 he spent about 2 hours to clean the carpet of 3 bedrooms, hallway and the tiles of 2 bathrooms. The carpet was supposed to have the extra deep scrub treatment. After the carpet dried the next day I noticed many spots where there was a sharp contrast of clean, light color from the cleaning nozzle and the dark, dirt color next to it. This was especially evident with the stairs which looked pretty bad. I pointed out to him when he came back to clean the floor tiles for an additional $390. He reluctantly re-did the few steps on the stairs where the spots were particularly noticeable. After the carpet dried the next day those steps did look better, but the rest of the carpet still had many similar spots which he could have easily spotted and re-do but chose to ignore. read more
