I have visited several wonderful juice bars in the area, but this is my very favorite. In addition to a delicious menu of made to order juices, Clean Juice stocks a self serve fridge of recently made juices in bottles for folks in a hurry. I think it's really sweet that they have a little prayer box, a pen and a notepad by the back counter, and I usually write one down and add it to the box when I'm there. I love clean juice, yes it's pricey but it's good and I hate cleaning my juicer. The employees are always friendly and it doesn't take long. My only concern is the amount of flies I saw....like 5 flies behind the glass. I think a second door at front would be a good investment (yet expensive) because otherwise it's hard to keep flies out and you don't want to spray around the food. I stopped here because it seemed to be the only healthy option in this shopping center. After all of the heavy southern food I had this weekend, I definitely needed something high in fiber. I opted for a large of "The Intense One" ($12), and decided to add dragon fruit to add some sweetness in the mix. Unfortunately (even with the dragon fruit) it wasn't very intense or sweet at all. The taste was rather bland. I also would've expected a stronger taste of ginger and lemon since it is supposed to be a detox smoothie, but it felt like there was no lemon or ginger added at all. The only ingredient I could taste was the kale and avocado. I also tend to have bowel movement after this kind of detox smoothie, but nothing happened. I am brand new to the whole cold press juice concept. I have put on a few extra lbs and felt like I needed a reset. I did a little research and decided to try a juice cleanse. I bought one day to start(6 juices) and was back the next day to buy 2 more days. I never felt hungry during the cleanse and I had lots of energy. What I did miss was the whole eating process, chewing and tasting food. All of the juice were good but "the white one" was my favorite!!! The cleanse is something I see myself doing for 2-3 days every couple of months. Not that great for the kids. My daughter had a watermelon, strawberry, banana with an orange base and all you could taste was the orange. My son had a mango, banana and strawberry that tasted like water. I had a chocolate protein and it was ok given the price. I really do enjoy their products and I've been there quite often because of this; however, I never have a pleasant experience when I am there. The employees, 98% of them, do not smile or make me feel welcome when I walk in. I say thank you when they hand me my drink and a majority of the time they do not even look at me let alone respond. It's a shame because I love their smoothies but I always kick myself for spending money at the establishment when I am not treated well there. It barely takes any energy to be friendly to customers. This is one of the WORSE ones I've went into... they all pretty much always look dirty and not "Clean"... i feel like they should call their places Dirty Juice... sad that it's a great business concept that I'm totally about it, but it's not the least bit healthy when it's Very unsanitary.. i could go on and on about examples... Again though, this location is just filthy.. stuff/lids hanging wide open not closed.. gross containers.. debris all over containers and bottles.. like the olive oil bottle had dried food all over it!!!!....not changing gloves...cutting food with dirty knife that was previously used for something else and that was just sitting there in the meantime ..preparing food on very dirty cutting board couldn't believe what i saw altogether... i would seriously probably die if i saw the back room there where they do all the cold pressing... Clean Juice needs to CLEAN it up read more
