Two word review: Honest, Responsive…read more This is my THIRD consecutive 5-star review for Rocklin Heating & Air. In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.

I contacted David who scheduled me in for an appointment the day after Christmas. He had to reschedule me since he overbooked himself and my time slot was replaced by another customer. Atleast he gave me a few hours notice for this reschedule and he was apologetic about the inconvenience. Ale arrived on the Saturday day after our original booking and was very friendly and professional. He rung my doorbell exactly on the dot and walked inside with booties to inspect and tape off our fireplace. We mentioned how we needed a chimney cap and they happened to have an extra one in their vehicle to install at a reasonable price but unfortunately we didn't think the design fit our needs well so we just committed to the clean up. The job was done in about 45 minutes and we were happy with Ale's work. We recieved a few bids from other competitors but went with David due to his promptness and reasonable pricing. Once again, we never used this fireplace in the past. We just needed the leaves and debris removed and we got exactly that for a great price in a timely manner especially after the holidays. Our place was thoroughly cleaned up from any debris and he did a test to show us everything was looking good. I would highly recommend these guys for any of your chimney needs!

Last Saturday, the hottest day of the year, my air conditioner quit working! David came out from Economy Heating and Air came out and offered me an estimate for $89 of which would be waived if I had them fix it. After looking at it, he asked me if I would like to fix it for a few hundred dollars or replace it for thousands; I told him I'd rather get it repaired if it wasn't too old. He repaired it that visit for under $400 and I was so grateful. I told him they would be the company I would call if I had any further problems. It's been running well since his visit. Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.
