I have used Cta pool service for more than 10 years. However, starting the 1st week of July they stopped coming and bill is paid for 2 months. I have texted, called them and emailed them but I have not received a response.. I suspect they are no longer in business. read more

After years of service just up and vanished on us. Left our pool a mess. Owner said he would come out next day having missed service in the heat of summer and the employee Mario supposedly now gone to Mexico. Owner did not show up and then ghosted all calls and texts. So unprofessional, and within 3 days of missed service our pool was covered in nasty green algae. Age 65 and 67, we both spent all week scrubbing and scrubbing buying pool equipment and chemicals. They deserve negative stars. Wrecked our pool. Learned yesterday from a neighbor who used his service also: same issue, vanished will not return calls. Really happy with the service provided by CTAPS - we had a pool pump that was severely aged with a bad motor, but I didn't want to spend the money on a new pool pump. Michael diagnosed the issues (bad motor, seals, and broken impeller) and we agreed that replacement was a better solution. Peter is great! We had a slimy film on our 2 month old hot tub and our original pool guy said it was fine... come to find out it wasn't fine.. long story short, Peter figured out and fixed the issue. Peter came over to assess our non-working brand new filter and pump situation and discovered it was piped improperly and noticed the new pump was too big for what we needed. Peter was able to give us a verbal quote to replumb pool system as required to industry standard, remove new (too big) pump and reinstall original pump, replumb gas supply into heater to proper specifications. We felt Peter quoted fairly and very reasonable. He is a prompt and honest businessman which is such a blessing. He sent a very pleasant and respectful technician, Michael, to complete the task and we are truly happy with their work. No idea what's going on with this company. Called Peter and set up a weekly pool service because we just had our pool refinished and spent $18,000 making it nice w/ new tile and pebble finish. Jacob came out, started to fix a couple issues our old pool guy didn't do correctly. Then he just randomly stopped showing up after only a couple trips and didn't finish the job he was in the middle of. Our brand new pool and water is completely green and gross. Zero chemicals and we can't back flush it because he didn't even finish the job hooking it all up. Called and texted the number a dozen times trying to get a hold of someone trying to find out what's going on, and how to pay for the stuff he did. Received zero answers or any replies. The last contact we had was Peter texted us saying we can Zelle him the payment at the end of the month (can't pay until he gives us the correct info) cannot even get a hold of anyone and Jacob stopped showing up to both mine and my moms house we hired him for. What the heck???. Very strange. Not sure why finding a reliable pool service is so difficult. Maybe a 1 star review will get their attention and they will finally reply to our messages. So far extremely unhappy for just disappearing with no explanation to us. read more

When I first hired Peter I thought he would be a good fit for my pool because his prices seemed like an overall good deal. But after I had already put a few hundred into his services, he would add extra charges and services on top of the $120 without my knowledge until it was time for payment. I ended up terminating his service because he failed to fix my pump issue because he claimed "he didn't know what the issue was" but for someone that has apparently been doing this for 42 years, often times I would need to assist him with his job, which lead me to believe that he wasn't efficient enough to do it on his own if I wasn't home. Peter failed to give me my receipts on multiple occasions. I do not recommend this service. read more

Cleaner Than Air lives up to it's name! They took my green pool and made it crystal clear again. I was dumping $$$$$ of Leslie's chemicals to no avail. I asked 2 other pool contractors to bid and no one came back with quotes. Peter gave me a quote on the spot and followed up on me a few days later. My pool needed to be drained, acid washed, DE filter cleaned, filter panels replaced and finally pool refilled. Then everything needed to be chemically balanced. Peter kept returning for 2 weeks to tweak my pool to have the perfect balance of conditions. Work was quick and efficient. Peter understood that I was taking care of the pool myself, so he provided me with new hardware and tools to help keep my pool looking clean with less effort. My old single-speed pool pump was sounding funny. I called and Peter came out a couple of days later to troubleshoot the problem. He figured out the bearings were bad. He came up w/ 3 options: rebuilt single-speed, new single-speed, or new variable-speed pump. After some discussion, I decided to go w/the variable speed pump but one w/4-speed settings instead of 8-speed setting (which is about $300 less) since my pool is smaller and doesn't have extras like a waterfall. On the day of the install, Peter called to let me know that he couldn't get the 4-speed pump so he was willing to install the more expensive 8-speed pump but at the agreed upon 4-speed pump price. He filled out and submitted the SCE energy efficiency rebate for me, as well. Thanks Peter! read more

We don't know what happened to this pool service but they are no longer reliable, nor do they answer phone calls or return messages. Our pool has algae and no chlorine, it is hot hot hot outside and no one calls us or comes to service our pool on a regular basis. This is our first IG pool and was feeling a bit overwhelmed with the prospect of upkeep and maintenance. Peter from CTA pools came over and could not have been more helpful and nice to deal with. Extremely knowledgeable, and wants what's best for the pool and owner, not pushy at all. We did a full system service as the pool hadn't been touched in months, and also installed a new IntelliFlo pump that saves power and is super quiet! All the work done was very clean and organized and even got some nice upgrades and tweaks added to the system. I needed immediate service to fix a leak that developed in my pool filter after replacing leaky piping (yup, it's an old system). After having an overall negative experience spanning several years with our former pool service, we finally decided to begin our search for a replacement. I was overwhelmed at how many options were out there, and not knowing who's reputable in the industry, was hesitant to randomly pick someone to take over where the last company left off. We searched on our own for a while, and once our pool began to get out of control with algae, we realized that we had to make a decision quick. I reached out through our neighborhood community website, and asked if anyone had a pool service that they were happy with, and would gladly recommend. SEVERAL of our neighbors within the community, confidently referred us to CTA Pool Service. The story begins there! Peter and his excellent employees, have from day 1 provided us with prompt, stellar customer service. I don't ever feel like we are just another customer. He treats us like family. One example would be that we recently had a series of bad rain storms one after the other, and our pool level was already high. When I saw that the forecast was another huge dump of rain of 4-6" in 24 hours was expected, I knew we needed to contact Peter to ask him what we should do to prevent overflow. He came over within 30 minutes, and in pouring down rain, pumped a few inches of water out of our pool, to allow for the rain. All of this AT NO CHARGE!!! Who does that?! Peter, that's who :) We have an older pool and have already had to have some major repairs since Peter has been with us, and he is very reasonably priced, honest, thorough, and tries at all costs to provide us with all options possible. He has even worked out payment arrangements over months because of the cost involved with some of our needed repairs. Because we live next to a park, where tall pines are constantly dropping pine needles and stuff in our pool, it is very difficult to keep the chemicals perfectly balanced. This has always been a challenge. With that said, since Peter took over, our pool is now always in pristine condition. In the 39 years that we have lived here, it has never looked so good! He has very high standards, and it's apparent. Pool Service really doesn't get any better that this. We are so very thankful for CTA Pool Service and all that they have done and continue to do for our pool. read more
