Also, the scheduler started to get a little passive-aggressive if the day she suggested didn't work for us. It is a joy to keep finding bonuses with older houses..... with winter weather settling in, lovely ant family moved in also.... I quickly lost my ownership to these house mates, despite of my furious attempts with indoor spray, traps, and outdoor sprays.... I found clear skies on yelp. I looked up the services before and found their recommended service and cadence to be very reasonable. They don't push selling monthly services. It is a small business and the owner Eric is out on projects during the day. They will respond to emails. Eric showed up pretty on time. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned something about my housemates. It was good learning. He finished his project during the time we agreed on. My housemate slowly moved out. Given where I live, I still get occasional visitors once in a while. At some point, I got concerned and Eric does cover post service warranty time period. Gradually, the new visitors will disappear. I have not seen a full blown home invasion again from these creatures. I would like to work with them again. Their material is safe with kids and pets. We have used 4 previous pest control services. For a variety of reasons, none of them provided effective control of the ants and other critters. There were times we needed to request a different tech based on lack of professionalism. I saw Clear Skies' van at my neighbor's house every year. I had an ants problem at my house for a very long time but I was concerned to treat it because I have a vegetable garden and a dog. it got worse so I decided to treat it. I researched Yelp and found them have the best reviews so I decided to give them a try. Eric came out, gave me a detailed explanation, and good treatment around the house just like other reviewers said. After 10 days, I discoverd there were still some ants in my yard so I contacted Eric and he came back the 2nd week. We found out there were still some ants that came from our neighbor so Eric put some baits and that should take care of it. Exceptional Service! I've been living in my home for about a year and have never in all my previous years in SF had an ant problem like the one here. The house must be built on one of those massive argentine ant colonies. The little buggers are cute, but so annoying--the smallest piece of cat food not wiped up would cause a swarm that came from a nest at least 30 feet away. Those ants meant business. Anyway, I finally decided Terro and Raid weren't going to cut it any longer. I researched a couple of pest control places and chose Clear Skies because of their super competitive rates along with them being a small local business, and just down the street from me. Conn came by and quickly assessed the situation. He found a couple of the nests, took care of those spraying outside as well as providing some strategically placed treatment in the kitchen and the interior of a studio in our backyard. I was told that it would take 7 to 10 days to take effect, but it's been 24 hours and I haven't seen a little scout yet! Woot! What a sense of freedom! I found some scary-looking winged insects that I was convinced were flying carpenter ants. The most obvious reaction was to panic, of course, and to imagine them eating the house from the inside out. Thankfully, I was able to get an appointment with Clear Skies pretty quickly. Conn came out and was able to calm some of my fears -- they were likely a species of flies that had found their way inside. He recommended to call back if anything else came up, and didn't even charge for the visit. Where do you even still get that level of professionalism and kindness? We had a persistent ant problem when it was raining a lot. I set up an appointment with Eric via email through their website. It took a while to set up an appointment because Eric was booked about a month out. Eric was on time and was very honest about the problem. He offered a DIY solution to save money, but I opted to have him spray the problem areas. About a week or two later, the problem was gone. Conn first came to our home in early 2019 after we discovered a massive ant nest just outside our home, and a swam of ants in our bedroom. Eric and his son are great. Very professional and nice. They got rid of our ant invasion. As he estimated... the treatment may last about 2 mos. or more but if they come back to call him. Couple months later we saw a few critters roaming around and they came out and did a quick re-treatment, no cost. I really appreciate their integrity. They don't use scare tactics to up-sell us on services/treatments we don't need, unlike many larger pest services. Email him. He's a busy guy (for good reason) so doesn't take many calls. Give him a couple of days to get back to you. He's high in demand but worth it. So far no ants! I'd suggest booking him before ant season starts. read more

These guys are the best! Came out to my house to get rid of some nasty super-fleas that I'd been trying to get rid of for two months via other means (as a result of having a Raccoon move into the back yard to have her babies). Finally got the Raccoon out (by playing loud talk radio continuously near the nest) - and then Clear Skies came out to spray back yard and house to get rid of the fleas that were eating us up. Fantastic service from the Clear Skies crew! We had an ant problem in our house that had been going on for a long time and the Terro ant bait traps didn't seem to helping. Devin came to our house and performed a thorough examination, then explained how he would apply treatment. I very much appreciated his consideration for our living environment as well, as we have pets and kids. We still had ants hanging around after 10 days, so Devin returned and re-applied pesticides as well as targeting other areas around our yard. Our house is ant-free! Ok I feel like these guys saved our lives! We've owned this house for 43+ years and have always had an ant problem no matter how careful we were about cleaning up. We are an extremely neat family. But we finally acknowledged that we needed ant prevention and called clear skies because of their commitment to the LEAST toxic chemicals available. And it works! I haven't seen one ant for months if not a year. Not one. And they are courteous, very reasonably priced, timely, and efficient. They will not mill around the perimeter of your house all day. They do what needs to be done with minimal to no disruption. The rare individuals who write bad reviews are either getting the wrong company or are writing about unrelated issues, thus violating Yelp policy. I absolutely love this company and will be using them forever. I hope they never close down. They are vital to our happiness! So please, negative people. Just STOP! Write legitimate reviews for once. We used Clear Skies recently to deal with an ant infestation in our home. I emailed Eric and he got back to me straight away. He was too busy to fit me in at the time but suggested another company I could use. However, I had read such great reviews on Yelp that I decided to wait a few weeks until he was available and I am so glad I did. Eric was brilliant! He maintained good contact with me throughout, was punctual, great at explaining what type of ants we had and how he was treating them and was fast and effective. He came and sprayed outside initially but said he could lay traps inside if this did not stop the ants. In less than a week we were ant-free as he had suggested. Unfortunately I then found and disturbed another ant nest in a plant pot which caused some ants to come in again. I contacted Eric and he arrived the next day and baited/sprayed inside too. This completely solved my ant problem and we have been ant-free ever since. I cannot recommend Eric highly enough. This is an excellent professional service from a thoroughly decent guy. read more

I don't leave many reviews. For the ones I do, I think the business/person deserves to be noticed! I don't understand why Eric's business doesn't get more reviews. I get why people use bigger business, but I'm happy I decided on a smaller business' services like Eric's. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Clear Skies Pest Elimination!! I started seeing some silverfish in the house over a year ago (in the kitchen area, bathrooms and laundry room). There was major reconstruction in and near my place over 1.5 yrs ago, plus soon after construction I had a leaky faucet. I thought the problem was either one of those or both (or me), so I read as much as I could about them and started cleaning up all paper/boxes, vacuuming 2x week, getting all the crevices, mopping and using boric acid in the problematic areas. After months of doing the above and still seeing about 1-2 silverfish/week, I decided to contact Clear Skies Pest Elimination. Extermination services are not cheap but I was so fed up with seeing silverfish I was ready to spend the money. Eric came by and he quickly determined the silverfish were coming from the outside! Where I live there are common areas where there are bushes/plants where silverfish are commonly found. Long story short, Eric didn't charge. He said that I don't have an indoor infestation problem, don't need him to treat, was doing everything right and advised me on what to else to do to prevent the silverfish going forward. Great service! After two cans of wasp spray and sting to my ankle, we decided it was time for professionals. Clear Skies were awesome. They came over the next day, did their spray thing, and the wasps were completely gone in a few days. They also did a great job explaining the process and to let us know that they stand by their work so if the wasps were still a problem they would come back out. But it wasn't necessary. One visit is all it took to get rid of flying menace that had taken over the backyard. read more

We had an insect problem coming back from an out of town trip. Both me and my partner were bitten by some kind of little creatures. Dermatologist suggested mites, or less likely fleas.
