Negative stars if I could. My brother never got his glasses they never told him they were ready. When we went they said they had to ship them back????? They didn't refund the 180$ he paid out of pocket. That was there explanation that they had to send them back because we took too long to pick up but they never ever notified us that it was ready! Horrible experience. I have insurance that covered for my glasses & paid 90+ for contacts "fitting" to receive a prescription since my insurance didn't Over it. I specifically told the Optomertist DR. Efrain that I need the daily removals contacts prescription that you throw away. No only did he not do that but I called them about the mistake he made & instead of making it right they want to charge me $80 bucks to fix his issue. $20 would be reasonable but I'm basically paying almost the same full price as before for his mistake. DONT GO HERE. If you have medical cut your losses if you have PPO cut your losses. Find another place. Integrity is a big, as a nurse my self it's always important that your patients are cared for not taken advantage of. read more

Very unimpressed with the service. I brought in my contacts packaging to make ordering easier, and they managed to overcharge me, not order enough, and charge for a "fitting" when absolutely none was had. The staff was great from start to finish, the technician was very clear on the options for the retina pictures and dialtion, my son got the pictures for $12 and we were able to see his retina picture as well and doctor explained every detail. I was there on Tuesday afternoon, we were seen late. As i was sitting on the lobby/waiting room, i observed the worker's interaction. I noticed that when customers/patients were done with the optometrist, they were seen by the insurance lady. The insurance lady was so loud, i wad able to hear everyone else's insurance coverage due to the extremely loud voice. I wad so afraid of being next because i didnt want everyone to know/hear my insurance coverage. As i was sitting there as well, the front desk was purchasing candles from a lady. I thought that was very unprofessional as it is a work place. When i was called for my appt the optimist pressured me into either getting my eyes dilated or paying $12 for a picture to be added to my profile (note- the picture was already taken) i wasnt explained why it was needed and i declined however the optometrist was asking why i didnt want it and if i didnt want to pay for it however he never explained the purposed. Dont get me wrong, i am not cheap however explain the process to me and dont make me feel like you are in it for my money. When i got done, i stated i wanted my prescription and the optometrist rudely asked "why, where are you getting your glasses" i simply said i was going to shop around. Nonetheless, this interaction felt like they were after customers money and not good customer service. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I for sure would give this place it. I came in to my appointment August 19, 2021 and was seen 30 minutes late, even though I was the only patient there... I was waiting in the lobby where I was able to observe the front desk ladies which were being very unprofessional, they were on their phones playing loud videos, cracking Jokes and gossiping... they thought I couldn't understand them because they were ALL speaking Spanish .... Little did they know, I also speak fluent Spanish so I pretended like I could only speak English. I wasn't acknowledged until I spoke up to ask what was taking so long, they said the doctor was busy with another patient ... but there was no one there, I over heard him talking on the phone and it didn't sound like a work call, he was having a good time while making me wait for my appointment that I was on time for. Doctor Mascareno was very rude and obnoxious when he saw me, the whole time it felt like the work staff just wanted my money and didn't care for my actual needs, they kept trying to push me to pay for a service instead of getting my eyes diluted (which was the free option), they also wanted me to get new glasses even though I specifically told them I already had brand new glasses and was only there for contacts. They also tried to belittle me by saying I was being cheap ... I'm not an idiot and don't like to be pushed over especially at a place that I'm not familiar with, they weren't explaining anything to me nor were they trying to answer any of my curious questions, It was my first time being with them so I had some reasonable questions. However, every time I tried to ask questions and ask for them to explain the whole process of what they were trying to offer me, they would make rude remarks in Spanish not even under their breath, they said them loudly with no care of my feelings as a brand new patient. Keep in mind, I was able to fully understand everything they were saying because I SPEAK SPANISH, at this point I was very annoyed and no longer wanted to be there. However, I continued with my appointment because I badly needed contacts. My insurance covered my consultation but the doctor wanted me to pay in advance for my next meeting, after I asked why I couldn't just pay when I came back, the doctor said and I quote, "because I said so" and I said uhhhh okay?? As I was getting ready to pay with the front desk lady, the doctor then turned around to walk back into his office and he loudly and very clearly said "Santo Dios" aka "MY GOD" in a very rude and annoyed manner. At this point I said enough is enough, I than look to the front desk lady and ask her "is he complaining about me?" And she says "uhhh I don't know," knowing EXACTLY that he was complaining and showing his unreasonable frustration with me. I then laughed and told her that I no longer wanted to proceed with my next appointment and that I will not pay them ANYTHING, I said your work staff and your doctor need to be more aware of your customer service because it is not acceptable, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I said all of this in Spanish and told her that I could understand them the whole time, said they were miserable and left them with the jaws dropped. Moral of the story, this place is terrible, they have shitty customer service and only want the customers money, they have no good intentions and NO ONE should spend their hard earned money on these types of places. Three months ago I received my new eyeglasses from this location. Last night when I was going to bed I took my eyeglasses off and one of my lenses fell out. I discovered very quickly that the frame around where that lens was held had cracked open. Now let me give you a backstory I have been wearing glasses for over 63 years I have never had a pair of glasses fall apart like these did. This is the first pair of glasses that I've ever kept religiously in a hard shell case to protect them. I stopped at the location today complained about them breaking they basically told me that it was my fault that they broke and that's when I was informed that yes there was a one year warranty that you could use one time and one time only so they took my lenses and put them into an identical frame and told me that I could leave their building. Saying the next time I come have a appointment to which I informed them that appointments for someone who drives for a living and is required to wear eyeglasses does not work. I needed them fixed and repaired immediately if anything should ever happen to them. They once again told me that I could leave. I do not recommend this location there was something off about it ever since I walked in the door and I just didn't follow my gut feeling and now I wish I had gone somewhere else Now I wish that you would choose to go somewhere else I don't want you to have to go through what I went through. read more

I paid for glasses on November 11-2020 after many phone calls and left messages which they didn't reply too,I had to call today and get angry with them. Last time I'll ever bring my son here again. Well, they cover Tricare Prime, for military families.. but gosh, when I got my son checked here and everything and we got the glasses made for him, we were told that we had a week or so to have him try it. The glasses was pretty darn strong for a 6 year old! I spoke with the Doctor Mascareno, he was kind of anal with me and talked to me like I was little kid, I was just voicing out my concerns and he was saying, that's how my son's vision really was, but goodness, I don't think it was that bad, cause it's worse than my mom's. I know my son's eyes aren't that bad, and when I asked if we can just get it to a lower grade, he tells me he needs to put those eyedrops to dilate my son's eyes and so we can get it done.. I'm like gosh, I think these people are about to make people's eyes worse! I kept voicing my concerns and all he said was "As a parent, this and that.." "You're the mom so it's your decision..blah blah," of course I'm the mom, that's why I brought my son here to get checked not be lectured! Hello! I don't know what it is, not to be basing it on race or anything, but I don't think they like Filipinos. That's horrible. I'm done with this place and they lost a customer in us. I will just get my son's glasses done at Costco's. or Walmart or something.. thanks anyway to nothing. Wasted my 300 bucks here for glasses that's too strong on my child. Optometrist was great but front staff didn't seem to have a complete hold on what they were doing. As a new customer had no welcoming and was not presented with all of my options. Had to return to the office after driving away minutes later due to a mistake made on their part and was not even given an apology for the trouble but excuses and sass. Really loved my visit at the optometry. Last year, I went with Pack & Bianes, and the optometrist told me I had prism. My PCP referred me to this optometry suggesting that I need to do an eye exam redo. My whole visit took about 30 minutes including the wait and consultation, etc. To my surprise, the staff is efficient and so is the doctor. The doctor told me thst I dodnt have prism, and its really rare for people to get it, especially at a young age. I can tell that the people who work here both enjoy working here while getting along with everyone in the room. It's not like a serious business setting, where they try to upsell you things that you really dont need like... at Pack & Bianes, they made me dilate my eyes (even though I had healthy eyes, but they wanted $15 for it), tried to get me to have an expensive transition prescription lenses (which I could get the genric one), or pay extra for 100% UV light protection when the polycarbonate comes with a 99% UV light protection. Things like thst irritated me at Pack & Bianes. Plus at this optometry place, the doctor knew what I needed and addressed my concerns, and he didnt attempt to sell me a bunch of sponsored stuff that I dont really need. read more

Be careful when you go here. My sister has been taking my mother for the 2nd time only to be told that her glasses are not ready. Before they went, over the phone they told my Mom that her glasses were ready she asked the lady. Are you sure there ready. Last time I went you said they were ready and they were not. So please can you verify that they are. The lady replied yes they are. So when my Mom and sister got there for the 2nd time they were not. Also the prices are extremely high. Called in and got an appointment same day which was perfect and they gladly informed that they accepted my insurance even tho I didn't have an ID card, they found my policy and made everything hassle free! I came to this office since I was referred to Dr. Fabian Luna by a family member (who was also a patient). The office was tidy & the office staff was friendly & efficient. to start off i had gone into this office for an exam and everything went well, i ended up getting contacts. after 2 months with the contacts my eyes became very dry and itcy. i went in he gave my some eye drops after a week or so they were still very dry and my eyes would burn from the contacts. all they said was for me to go in a get new contacts to try and check out different kind due to my eyes being very dry, not once did they call to check on me follow up anything. how am i suppose to feel about my eye dr if he doesnt even care. read more

My kids (ages 13 and 14) and I have been a customer with Clear Vision Optometry close to 6 years. In 2012 we were new and did not know the staff. Our second year there I told them that it would be nice to get annual reminders that we are due for our next annual visit whether it be via the mail or a phone call. In 2015 I finally got on to the list to get a reminder that I am due for my annual check up but I still haven't received a mail out for my kids. Will call them after I write this review to sort that out. Over the years Dr. Luna has always checked our eyes. He is very professional and courteous and answers any questions that my kids or I may have. He is one of the reasons why I like going to Clear Vision Optometry. Liz, is exceptional. She is the person that helps you choose your frames, calculates what your insurance and out of pocket expenses will be etc. I believe I have known her for over 5 years now going there. I would always ask for her since she was accustomed dealing with us for so many years. Well this year was exceptional. My daughter that just turned 13 told me that her glasses broke off on the side. This was our first time that something like that happened. I tried taping it on the side (since she cannot see the content on the White Board or Projector at school). The next day I called Liz and told her what happened and she told me to bring her. I had no idea that the frames were under warranty and Liz was able to switch them out and put the lens into another frame that could hold her shape lens. Her appointment for new glasses was coming up two weeks from that day. Again, we went for their next annual eye check up and Liz helped them with choosing their frames and lens etc. We put a Rush on it since we needed to get them soon because of her Sports Glasses that had the inserts, which she needs for Racquetball. Well today when we woke up the puppy had jumped on top of the coffee table during the night while my daughter was sleeping on the sofa and chewed the frames and one arm was broken off. I called Liz promptly at 9 am to let her know what happened and that my daughter went to school but couldn't see the board. Our Rush order still had not come in with her new glasses. So Liz told me to come with the chewed up glasses to see what she could do. I was lucky there was one more of same frames left and Liz was able to put in the old lens in like she did three weeks ago. Well in 15 mins Liz handed me another frame for my daughter. I thanked Liz for her exceptional customer service toward my family. I rushed over to my daughter's school and by 10 am she had her glasses (she is in all Accelerated classes). So what lesson did I learn from this. I told my daughter she cannot leave her glasses on tables that puppies can potentially jump on but more importantly Liz cares for her customers. There should be more Lizzes out there in companies putting their customers first. Liz is professional, cares for her customers, knowledgeable, courteous, approachable and always willing to help. My brother is disabled and was referred to this optometrist by his primary physician. This optometrist canceled my brother's appointment at 5 PM the day before the scheduled appointment, because "he had a deductible in Medicare." I did not know what that meant, because I had never experienced this before. They sent me on wild goose chase that included calling his secondary insurance, the primary insurance, and Medicare. Every organization, besides this optometrist, was surprised that he was denied his appointment due to Medicare paperwork. If you are wealthy, they will likely treat you like gold. This office hung up on me, though, when I kept asking someone to explain the deductible process. After talking with Medicare, I decided to file a complaint with the Dept. of Health and Human Services' Inspector General's Office, because what happened to my brother should not happen to anyone. I believe they discriminated against him, mainly because of his economic status and that is not right. read more

The staff at this location was not helpful at all. When I first encountered the staff at the front desk of this office the employee was only able to speak broken English. I made an appointment t anyways for 11/05/2012 for 10:45 AM to only be called an hour before my appointment to be told that my insurance was not going to cover my eye exam, and that they did not want to waste my time by having me come in. Well I know how my insurance works so I called VSP to check my coverage myself. Well guess what? I was covered. So I called the office to let them know of my findings and the office manager told me that I was not covered once again. The office manager asked me what would you like me to do. I had to ask her to do her job and call the insurance company herself and find out. Well she said okay and took my number to call me back after she checked. Well once she called me back she said yes you are covered and that they could fit me in today. I told her no thanks and that I would take my business somewhere else. I usually don't write reviews but the doctor there is awesome!!! So I went to this place last month for a routine eyeglasses visit because it accepts my insurance. I was impressed by the fancy equipment and the frames were nice. I got my new glasses and my vision was super clear. That's to be expected. However, last week I woke up with really bad eye pain. It felt like someone stabbed me in the eye. I was going to go to the ER because it was so bad. But first I called this office. I got to speak with Dr. Luna and just over the phone he knew exactly what it was. I had a corneal abrasion and he told me that even though they were busy he could see me that day. Within less than 5 minutes of walking in there he made my eye feel great with a numbing drop. He put a contact lens on my eye and told me that although my eye would still be sore, the contact would act like a band aid. He was so right. My eye was sore for the next few days. He took my contact lens off today and everything is great. He's having me put in an ointment at night time so that it doesn't happen again. Thanks Dr. Luna!!! You fixed my eye and made me feel so much better read more
