Nice guys and they do really good work. They are a bit "old school"...but cool guys . Don't expect rapid service, courtesy calls on status or frills though. They will call you when complete but if you are wanting an update before then - you will need to call them to check-in on your repair. Although they get the job done, it takes time. read more

These guys were very responsive and helpful. They did say the charge to come to the house (55" on the wall) would be $39, then when they arrived said pick & delivery total would be $89.50. I was afraid the TV was toast. Heard a big pop and it died before I called Clearwater TV. They told me they were 3 days out on repairs so I assumed it would be Friday before they looked at it. When they called on Friday I expected they would give me the estimate to fix but they had fixed it already. Cost $430+ tax. I was wanting to decide whether to get a new TV ($1000 or so) or fix this one. Since they fixed it already I didn't have that option but honestly I would have fixed it. I called Clearwater TV on 1/5/26 to get an estimate on a 6 year old 65 inch Sony TV. I was told I could bring it in for a free estimate but I told them for me that was not an option. They said for $39.95 someone would come out and give an onsite estimate. I told them I tried to do a factory reset and online I found it was probably the main board. I agreed and they set up an appointment in my condo for that afternoon. Two "techs", Larry and Bill showed up, looked at the tv, tried the reset like I did and said they would have to take tv into the shop and could not give an onsite estimate. There would be an $89 pickup and delivery charge to get my paid for estimate at their shop. I trusted them at that point and paid the $129.00 fee but also reiterated that I was not spending more than $400 for some repair. The estimate would take 3 days. Called the next day and stated that I changed my mind and wanted my set back. I got talked into waiting for a part that might fix the set but the part would cost $388, I replied that with $129 I already paid it was a no go. Called on 1/12/2026 and was told the set was not fixable since replacing the main board did not work, nice estimate! Made them bring it back so I could personally put it in my condo complex dumpster since I had already wasted enough money and I no longer trusted them!!! read more

Came over and watched a video on my iphone and told me it wasn't the TV but it was the antenna. I knew there would be a $39 "service charge" for the home visit but was surprised there was an additional $20 charge without even touching or doing anything to my TV. read more

Great guys. Know their stuff. That's why I gave two stars. But my 60" LG TV bought in Dec 2017 cost me $470 to repair. It was buffering and then finally wouldn't turn on. They came to house and brought set in (appreciated but cost $70), serviced it by changing out the backlighting. $470 total bill. I could've bought the exact same set brand new at Best Buy for $599. Just something to think about when you decide to get your TV repaired vs buying. read more

Well I am quite upset with the outcome so far. I brought my tv in & at 1st was told usually around $50. At most $200. Then they say it's $308. I paid $308, brought it home and it worked for 1 day! Now they say another $1,000! On top of $308 I already paid to them. I'm out $308 for a tv that I only got one days worth of watching. The tv had same problem as when I first went in. Feel like I'm getting scammed as I'm waiting for a call back & I never get one. I don't feel it's right to take $308 from a customer to only have tv work for a day. They knew I wouldn't want to repair it for that much. They talked me into fixing it as I said no at 1stz But now I'm without a tv & I'm out $308! Don't even know if what they did is even legal. Awesome service - we called when oyr 55" Samsung 55" Smart TV kept turning off and on intermittently. The owner came out the same day that we called! Professional and friendly!! He took our TV and we got it returned to us - repaired - before we left for PA!! They really came through for us!!!! I would not hesitate to refer this company!! They keep my tv for 4weeks and make all kinds of excuses they charge me 69.50 to pick my tv and never got any back of my deposit 1st estimate they gave me is 300$ to fix it and order the parts it's the circuit they said and waiting on parts I'm finally fed up with their lies so I told them to bring my tv back and then all of a sudden they're saying other things wrong with my tv in other words they messed it up worst they're hoping I would leave my tv there. Fraud , cons still your money I would report them also to better business bureau and thumbtack where I found their business # I have a 2 yrs old Samsung 55 inch lcd smart tv 1080p warning!!! Giving this rating 1 star because I understand it won't take a 0 star rating. Had large older model 6' screen projector TV which popped and went out on me. Called Clearwater TV and Larry and second man came out. Took 5 minutes without bringing in a tool kit to look inside rear of set and informed me it had to go to the shop for a $80 trip charge which would include return. It was apparent that this was their plan from the start. Watched them struggle with putting it in too small a van to stand upright so they laid it face down to get it in and left. Didn't call me for over a week and when I called they said they were still checking it. Another week and I called and was told they couldn't fix it so they returned it three days later. Time lapse 2 1/2 weeks and no repair. When they brought it back it had chips on edges of the outer shell and scratches on the screen from hand trucking and mishandling in van and the entire front speaker screen was missing. They said they'd check the shop to find it after first insisting they took it without one when they picked it up. Right !!! Never called me back, never returned the missing 3'x5' front screen and when I did call after 2 more weeks told me they didn't have it and in a manner that said, so stuff it. Said $29.50 to come and diagnose TV problem. Then needed to take to their shop for $40.00 more (to and back). Quoted me what I considered a pretty outrageous price for new motherboard, which I could by myself for $80.00. Said also needed to update software for some amount $69? which I think can be done free. Returned TV when I decided not to fix, and video no longer working. Broke the optical outlet by accident but did take responsibility for doing a quick fix of it back at their shop. The other review here is spot on. Throw your tv in a trash can before bringing it to this place. They have had my tv for 6 weeks and not once, no exaggeration, not once have they tried to contact me for any reason. I've had to stop by and call in order to get any info on what's going on. It's always "I'll call you tomorrow". Never have they called once. I expected the cost of 29.50,in Jersey it's even higher. anyway, I have s 60 in lg and i had it for awhile. so when my baby got sick Clearwater, Tv came to the rescue. the price was reasonable . He visit told me ant est. and took my baby away.I called every other day about progress and the day she was ready to come home was on time. Larry kept in touch all the way through. They were very courteous and patient with me I am very happy with the service and Mr Larry and his staff. NO COMPLAINTS HERE. I was looking for someone to check my tv which would not power on I checked Angie's list asked to put in my information before I had time to check out places was called by Larry from Clearwater tv repair said he would give a estimate for 29.50 came out said we had a short had to take it to the shop for another 40 dollars finally first quote 286.00 I said no finally came down to 219.00 brought it back then said another 20.00 for sales tax My tv is working ok just way to much for an 8 year old tv next time it will go in the trash. This guy is a straight up liar and a thief. Our 3 year old TV stopped working so I called them. They came out the same day for a "service call". They plugged it in and saw it wasn't working (DUH!), and said they would have to take it to the shop to diagnose. That cost us $69.50. He said they would call with an estimate in 3-4 days. After 3-4 days no call so we called them. Hadn't looked at it yet, we called 3 more times in the next few days before going out and buying a new TV. That was 2 weeks ago and they never did call us back with a price to fix it even though each time we called them he said they would call us by the end of the day! (liar). They just kept our TV! (thief) which I'm sure they will fix and sell. So, don't bother, I know most TV's are not worth fixing these days anyways, but if they are these are not the people to do it. read more

Awesome to the ness! I have a 55" Vizio tv that was not even two years old and went out. My issue was that I had sound, but no picture. I called and spoke to Larry and explained the problem I was having. He was optomistic that the tv could be fixed so he arranged a home visit. Keep in mind, I live in Sun City Center, FL, so I was pleasantly pleased that he would travel to my home. Larry assured me that he would put a rush on my tv. Within a day, Larry called and gave me the diagnosis--I had bad circuits. Larry picked my tv up on a Monday & he and Bill returned it to me fixed on a Wednesday of that same week.These guys are honest and amazing and their price is not outrageous like some other tv repair shops. One guy even told me on the phone that my tv could not be fixed--that I would be better off buying a new one. Well, I am glad that I did not listen to him and I chose Clearwater tv service.
