Strawberry pie crust. Really? Not what I was expecting. Not good.
    Antonio D. M.

I don't remember if I've ever left only a one star review before. This one star is based on one visit and their strawberry pie only however. I've always wanted to stop here on our way back from Tahoe or Jackson. I doubt if I I'll be returning. It was my dad's birthday so I wanted to stop and get a "fresh pie." We bolted for their cool looking little pastry shop and found mucho pastries and pies for sale. It took more than a minute to get some help because there just wasn't anybody in there to help. When an employee did show up, he tried to push his chicken and rice dish but we just wanted pie. He gave us a sample anyway. It wasn't bad but like I said, I was there for pie. I chose the strawberry. So after singing happy birthday we dug into some homemade chocolate cake and the strawberry pie. It looked no bueno first off. It looked as if it was frozen, thawed, frozen, and thawed again. It had some dark paste looking substance inside, with dark weird colors, and only a funny little hint of a real strawberry smell. I was pretty disappointed and felt ripped off. It was like 20 something dollars. I hope they can rectify their strawberry pies! They're in a great location.

Hours 8am- 8 pm Highly recommend! Fantastic food and service. Govind is amazing, will help with all your needs.

Chicken tikka masala and lamb curry pot pies? How unique, not to mention delicious! Everyone was so friendly here. They offered us samples to try and the coffee and chai are also complimentary! Their food here is proudly all made from scratch. We got the two pot pies and they were so flavorful. The puff pastry was flakey and buttery too. We slightly favored the chicken tikka masala over the lamb curry. A bit on the pricy side, but worth it! For a few cents less, they also offer these frozen so you can take and bake. We got a slice of blackberry pie to go that was full of fruit. The price if you use a credit card is marked up a bit more versus paying cash.

Been doing a few Tahoe trips lately to kirkwood and I'm glad we stopped along the way home to pick up some goodies. Their pies are deliciously worth it as advertised on the signs along the road. Something about how buttery the crust is and the flavor of the lamb filling was our favorite. Would go back for that alone, and spoiler we have. They even sell them frozen to go! We met a few staff members and they were great offering recs and samples to their butter chicken. The place is also spacious with good outdoor seating for a break. Definitely love the variety of this market and the many fun snacks, baked goods, drinks and foods they sell. Looking forward to next season for when we can come back and eat their pies again!

We stopped in to Clements Ridge to get a drink for the drive home. They were open Christmas Day! The owner was friendly and nice wanted to know if we needed a restroom break. Snacks, dried fruits, vegetables, fruit pies, pot pies, Indian Cuisine, etc.

Really friendly staff. We stopped here on the way to the rodeo and they gave us a free sample of the butter chicken. It was so good we had to come back for dinner. They have pies (savory and sweet), ice cream, cookies, fresh produce, and lots of snacks. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great place!

Stopped here on our way back home. This spot is easy to find right off the 88 in Clements. Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. The pies looked incredible and I regret not taking some home with me. The service was also amazing and offered samples the moment we walked in. I look forward to stopping here whenever I'm in the area.

Clements Ridge in Clements, California is a stop off of the highway that has a deli, fresh produce, homemade baked goods, and local wines. We were able to find this spot from the advertising they have along the highway, we were specifically drawn in by the sign for chicken tikka masala pot pie! First time seeing that! The bakery is great and offers a wide array of homemade pies, including classics like apple and boysenberry, as well as seasonal favorites such as pumpkin and pecan. Their fruit pies are especially popular. In addition to pies, the bakery serves fresh pastries, cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting, and fruit breads like pear and banana bread--ideal for a quick treat or a gift to take home. From the deli menu one of the top choices is the smoked tri-tip sandwich, barbecued on a charcoal wood smoker. You'll also find comforting classics like chicken pot pies, homemade soups, and fresh salads, making this a great lunch stop if you're driving through wine country. They also have frozen pot pies available if you want to take something home to go and heat up later. there is also a wine tasting room that has selections from local wineries, including Vine Hill Winery and Bokisch Vineyards. Visitors can enjoy tasting a variety of wines, from crisp Chardonnays to full-bodied Tempranillos, all produced locally by winemaker and owner Michael McQueen. Beyond the bakery and wine, the market carries a wide range of locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, bulk nuts, jams, olive oils, and other artisanal goods. Whether you're stopping by for a quick snack, browsing for local products, or spending an afternoon wine tasting, Clements Ridge offers a little something for everyone.

I will always love Pedrick's for a few reasons that aren't just about the high quality produce they…read moresell or the incredible collection of hot sauces that they sell or the really good tamales they sell there as well. Those are all very valid reasons to love this place alone, but for me this place has a few sentimental reasons that I enjoy them and value them so much. One I remember when my children were quite young and they would stay at their grandmothers in the Bay Area for days at a time and when we did the kid exchange it was always done at the Pedricks parking lot and then the kids and I would walk into the market and they would each pick out a treat-I cherish those memories. The other thing I think about Pedrick is way back when, during the time when the Covid-Era lockdown was coming to an end,I remember the 1st day they told us we could begin going outside again, the very 1st place the wifey and I drove to was Pedricks. We jumped in the car in Natomas and beelined straight for some fresh fruit and veggies and whatever other treats we could find that day at Pedricks. It was such a joy to see them open and fully stocked that day,I might as well have been going to Disneyland,we were so happy to see people again. Fast forward to today and I find myself going here about once a month, whenever I'm either driving to or from the Bay Area usually visiting relatives. It's a great spot to pick up the freshest and tastiest fruits and veggies to bring to events. I am also a certified ChiliHead,so their vast collection of hot sauces is unmatched in the area-a true must stop spot for anyone who considers themselves a hot sauce connoisseur. Yep other things that really stand out at Pedricks is their wide variety of fresh nuts available for purchase-they truly have so many varieties and flavors at pretty decent pricing. I also really enjoy their candy selection,I truly need to use extreme discipline when I gaze upon their candy offerings as they have so much and as much of a sweet tooth as I have,I have to learn often to just say no and walk away-I'm glad it's here though. In closing,In case it's not obvious,I really truly do recommend Pedricks as it's a great market offering some of the best fruits and veggies in the area, along with so much more. Love this place.

I remember buying fruits from there when the CUESA farmers market was at the back of the Hyatt Regency Hotel as it was named back then. You get the drift. Various family members and friends man their booth on Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Ferry Farmers Market in San Francisco with the owners present Saturdays. My preference used to be shopping on Tuesdays to avoid the crowds and hustle bustle tourists. Due to the dwindling selection Tuesdays and a lesser crowd due to the pandemic, Saturdays are not as bad as normal, not to say I like it this way. On the first Saturday in March, I noticed that a few customers buying some flowers and, with Chinese New Year just wrapping up and the Cherry blossom season about to start, I bought a bunch for my family. They turned out to be peach blossoms (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wdzZ2zYvI1lC-nB5zGEyOQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); my mom and her caregiver immediately recognized them and I, being the naiive one, felt like I just learned how to change a lightbulb. They are a nice addition to our living room with some of the Chinese New Year's plants withering away and my Costco tulip plant already blooming and long gone. With it being March, a tweener time fruits wise, they no longer have a stand on Tuesdays and likely will not be back until April when stone fruits begin to be harvested. Apricots, peaches, nectarines are the probably next to hit the market. And with the warmer weather, the increasing number of vaccinated people, and a general feeling of somewhat normalcy, things are beginning to look a little brighter now. Before you know it, it'll be cherry season. Can't wait!

The person who helped me was extremely pleasant and didn't get upset that I kept adding more and more items to what I wanted to buy. Something new I found out today is that they also make salami and even slice it for you for sandwiches. I purchased the garlic salami today and it is amazing. Sometimes a line can form outside so it's best to go early in the day as only 6 people are allowed in the store at a time. It's a very small area inside so it's understandable. The atmosphere reminds me of something from way back in the old school days. Well I supposed that's because of the building being so old anyways. The entire situation is an experience that's pretty cool. If you haven't been to Lockeford Sausages you really should take a trip out and get something.
