The burger with add ons was spendy and failed to meet expectations on several levels. The pie was so disappointing. custard actually has a narrow definition and I think they had the audacity to not use either of the 2 primary ingredients that define custard. Blech, no. And the crust was doughy and undercooked. Like srsly, wtf. The chocolate cream pie was underwhelming, It looked really good, but did not deliver. I was in the area for work and decided to check out Nations. It was Saturday evening and not very busy. The restaurant is in the corner of the shopping center by Starbucks. Seems like plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. The building looks new and well maintained. Cleanliness was mixed with some things looking great and others needing to be wiped down. It is an open kitchen so you can see them grilling everything to order. Because of that, be patient. It's a little pricey for counter service. Expect to pay 20ish for a basic burger, fries, and a drink. The food is mid, especially for the price. The pies are also pricey but look amazing and people come just for the pie. I tried the cherry cream which was good. It's worth trying. read more

Came to pick up a pie. I've never tried their menu before, just their pies. We walked in and there was a couple in front of us. One of the staff told the couple it will be five minutes before they would help them. I'm not sure if they were joking with them. They both were being friendly to each other. I just waited. I ordered my pie, and we didn't wait too long for it. The staff was friendly. It seemed like the service is kind of slow for the dine in people, but I don't know how long they have been waiting for their food. I came here because my brother had gotten one of their custard pies for Christmas and I really liked it. The place was close to the Costco and we just finished shopping there. This was perfect that it was located in the same strip mall. We went inside and there were two tables with two customers each sitting down waiting for their orders. A couple had entered before us but didn't know what they wanted so they told us we could go ahead of them. The lady at the grill said that we would have to wait 5 minutes before we could order which was weird. We were only getting a pie. There were two employees working the grill making hamburgers. I guess they were behind. It was at night around 7PM . So we waited for awhile while both of them were making food. The place wasn't too big and it seemed pretty clean. Finally one of the ladies started taking orders. We of course let the couple order since it had been sometime now and they knew what they wanted and were first in. We ordered our pie and then waited a few minutes for that . Off we went. I loke their pies. So I will be in again for that. read more

I had doordashed and have been to the Stockton location a couple times so this was my first time in the. Lodi location, it is apparently brand new and I like this location over the Stockton one because it's VERY clean, very nice! The girl that helped us was SO sweet I found out you can make a whole cake and mix and match 4 pieces of pie or cheesecake into one cake. OMG what a dream. I did blueberry cheesecake, whipped cream lemon pie, cherry cheesecake, whipped cream chocolate cream pie pieces all into one !! Alas my hungry self DUG into it so I didn't get a pic but I did get their last slice of strawberry cheesecake on the side and absolutely delectable!! We stopped in at Nation's and had an excellent experience. I ordered a BLT, and it was fresh, crispy, and stacked with lettuce and tomatoes, exactly how I like it. The iced tea tasted super fresh too, not old or watered down. The place was clean, the food came out fast, and everything tasted good. The staff were sweet and efficient. The staff here was very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was a huge issue. The condiment bar was filthy and clearly hadn't been wiped down in a while, with dishes and garbage piled high. When I sat down, my table was sticky with syrup and crumbs, which I had to clean myself before eating. For the price point, the food itself was mediocre at best--not worth what they're charging. The final straw was when I went to pour syrup on my pancakes and two ANTS came out of the bottle. At that point, my appetite was gone. While the staff is polite, the lack of cleanliness is unacceptable and honestly feels like a health code violation. I won't be returning. read more

We had never been to a Nation's. The chicken sandwich was cooked to order. It was huge. My husband and I shared it and were full. Soft wheat bun and crunchy lettuce made it just a pleasing meal. Lupe, the shift manager needs to work on her hospitality skills. After I reported not receiving a refund when I paid for a pie that I forgot to take with me. She plainly said " without a receipt nothing can be done". I explained that I left the receipt that day with the person at the cash register. She just shrugged her shoulders. No apology, no comp on anything else, just "too bad". I realize that without a receipt, maybe it was beyond her control, but she could've been more hospitable about it. I've eaten at Nations for over 40 years. You know what you get, a solid burger and great pies. I wanted breakfast food for dinner, this was in walking distance from my hotel. Cleanliness 5 stars. Ordering experience 5 stars. Food, I've got to go with 3 stars. I ordered eggs over easy, hash browns and sausage. The food was slopped on the plate. There was a cooked stringy piece of onion in my hash browns. My eggs were over hard, this was my biggest issue. I didn't have the time to have them remake it so I ate what I could and left. I believe they would've fixed it if I would've asked, so that's a plus. However, eggs over easy should be eggs over easy. I checked my receipt, it said eggs over easy. read more

We got a classic hamburger with only mustard and onions, a harvester burger with everything, 2 fries and 2 drinks. My Mom's hamburger had a bone or something in it and it was so soggy and off putting that she couldn't finish it. The buns were smashed and soggy, even though they'd been toasted. My veggie burger was slimy and came with a gigantic glob of mayo and no other condiments. The fries weren't salted, but they weren't disgusting like the burgers. We will never be coming back to this or any location ever again, worst burger ever! read more

Stopped by Nation's in Lodi and was seriously impressed! The food was delicious, fresh, and served warm, exactly what you hope for in a burger joint. The burger was massive compared to most places in town, and you can tell they don't skimp on quality. It's definitely worth every penny. Also, random but worth mentioning, the men's bathroom was super clean and smelled really good, which isn't something you can say about most fast-casual spots. It guts me to say this but save your money and go elsewhere. I REALLY wanted to like this place. But I don't see myself coming back. You really do not get your money's worth here. The burgers are not giant like the traditional Nations burger were and they're pretty bland too. So if you do try it make sure to grab salt/pepper packs that are readily available. I don't know what it was about the cheese but it's not to my liking. Something about it is just not it. It's real thick and not melted. Not enjoyable at all. I do have to commend the staff, they are nice and friendly. That's why I gave 2 stars. It's a clean restaurant and the staff regularly cleaned up the tables, floors and condiments station. I know it's a new spot for them so hopefully over time it'll get better. read more
