I have been using Cleworth for many years, having been in my home for 35 years. They were not the original installer of my custom built home, but I fatigued with the company that did the initial install and called them. They have been highly responsive to requests for service and have bent over backwards to provide good service on my somewhat challenged Heat Pump. We needed their support again this week as the temperature dropped overnight in the house and they were on site in a few hours getting me heat again, though there was additional research that was needed. Their return all was not great news for either of us as the compressor in the Heat Pump has again become defective. The parts are still covered under warranty and I'm hopeful that some portion of the labor can be covered by Trane or Cleworth. Regardless, they are quick, effective, and very pleasant to work with. read more

Couldn't be more pleased with these folks. Called 1st thing Monday morning...someone picked up the phone who was extremely pleasant and helpful. They had someone (Bruno) out to look at our CAC system THAT AFTERNOON. Bruno was fantastic; knowledgable and helpful. Fortunately for us it was a fairly simple repair (new motor and capacitor)...they had the motor by Wednesday and everything was fixed. OF NOTE: I was NOT an existing CLEWORTH customer. I hired Cleworth to replace an HVAC air filter an sent a photo of the filter. They showed up with the wrong filter and charged me for the visit with the promise that they would return with the correct filter. They never did and won't return my calls. read more

I called them for their service for my outdoor unit (exhaust fan) as it wasn't working. They came and trouble shooted the issue and found that the capacitor needs to be replaced. They said it I have to Pay $275 for the part and $65 for the service. Unknowing what a capacitor costs, I said OK, please replace it. After the technician left I searched on internet and found that the capacitor costs only about $30. I called them to ask why they charged me so much, Cleworth person: It's our price and you accepted to pay it. Me: You guys are charging too much and I don't want that part at that price. Cleworth person: Sorry, can't take it back, as we already installed it. Me: why can't you take it ? it's just been 5 min. Cleworth person: hold on.. (after couple of sec) - will you pay the service charge ($65) to remove it ? Me: ok Cleworth person: (spoke something to somebody).. sorry, can't do that, we cannot take it back now and hung up.. They charged me $275 for the part and $65 for the service and tax, which came to $364 This is not the end of the story, I went to their office to ask. "There were old couple and the technician guy. I started asking how can you charge $300 for a part that costs $30 ?", the women started to saying, contact any other person and check the prices, and I was about to say I checked online.. and the man interfered saying "dont argue.." I said I am not arguing, I am asking a question, he then said "so you want to call us and know what the problem is and buy the part on internet ?, do you know what was the problem before ?" I said, right, that's why I paid service charge of $65. He then started yelling, not letting me talk.. then I got the feeling that I am not going to get my money and got cheated.. Look at the attached receipt and search the cost of the price on google, you will know what its worth. These guys are not just cheaters, they are also arrogant and dominating in nature. I installed a Trane system with Cleworth in 2012. It has failed 4 times and 3 times in the past month. It is very hard to reach Cleworth on their service number (no one answers) and when you do they are not very sensitive to the fact that it is winter and you have ne heat. Do yourself a favor and find another dealer to install your system. read more

I have had Cleworth Conditioning perform work for me on two occasions. The first was a recharge for my Freon. The next, five years later, the compressor finally died. They ran checks over my whole system and my furnace. A slight gas leak was detected on my 31 (original) year old furnace A replacement of both systems was in order and was completed with permits within 3 days Now my PSEG bill is cut in half with the new units. The money for the units was highly competitive with others that I contacted, and the warranty is complete. Overall, completely satisfied. read more

I got a new Air-conditioning system from Cleworth and it broke down within 3 months. Yeah they repaired it, but you never expect $6k device to break in 3 months. Also, their terms of service are not what they tell. Be careful about them. Like they wont come over weekends to repair your appliance. I would never ever use their service again. You can be better off using PSEG. read more

My air conditioning has been out for a month and counting. It took the tech FIVE visits to determine what was wrong. Three of the five visits the tech did not show up and did not bother to call. The customer service is absolutely terrible. As of this message, the company has still not fixed the problem. If it were not for the parts warranty I would use another company. read more
