My Lenovo laptop went kaput and I was looking for a place to repair it. I remembered Click Away and realized they have a location on Winchester at Latimer so I called them. The professional representative was eager to help with anything and ensured a free diagnostic.. I totally understand the need to charge for more in depth diagnostics. I am appreciative for your honesty. I hope it won't be a major fix but if it is I am prepared for the outcome and trust your knowledge and recommendations. I used you in the past but the location on McGlincy was out of the way. Now I am happy you are in the Downtown Campbell area . I will be happy to update my review after the diagnostic and even if I don't have it repaired I will work with you and hope to find a good laptop with all my specifications. Remember you should always have a phone number of a reputable repair shop that has remote service available. Patrick called me and said it would be $200 for advanced diagnostics and he suggested to go along with it rather than buying a new laptop. My Nintendo Pro Controller NFC reader (for amiibo) stopped working and Nintendo basically told me they wouldn't fix it. I really do not want to treat electronics like they are disposable so I searched for a local repair on yelp and found ClickAway. Pros: They responded to my query right away (I sent my request after close and they got back to me asap the following day) They were polite and professional and asked me to bring it in for a free diagnostic so they could see exactly what it needed and if they could fix it. They had a 24 hour turn around, which they stuck to. Cons: They were not able to fix it, because Nintendo just isn't making the part available. (not taking a star off for that, cause that's on Nintendo) The ADA spot in the lot is on the the opposite side of the building from the entrance, The only reason I am not taking a star off for that is the way the closest spots are aligned in a steep stagger, it still leaves room to wrangle mobility aids in and out of the vehicle. It would be nice if one of them was reserved for ADA, because the building is long and the walk from the ADA spot to the front door is a bit of a haul if you are walker-ing or walking with a cane. Over all the crew was really professional and helpful, and I plan on taking my other tech issues to them in the future. HIGHLY recommend them. One tip though, Google Maps is not giving accurate instructions (at the time of this review) on how to get to them. They are going to try and make you make the world's dumbest u-turn, so for reference, it's across latimer from the KFC on winchester, and the lot entrance is to the left of the building as you face it from winchester, it's small and easy to miss, so be careful. read more

Unfortunately, I have to change my original review. I can no longer recommend the So. Winchester Blvd store. I've used the Winfield Blvd store for several years but my IT guy there moved on. I plan to move into a retirement community next year in Campbell and decided to try this more convenient location. I brought my laptop in early one day for a tune-up and in the past I got my computer back in a couple hours. I don't think the IT guy started my work until the next day. Got my computer back the next day and now I can't print on my printer. This has never happened to me before. They need to send somebody out at extra cost to me. I will get somebody else out to my house who is cheaper. In the future, I plan to go back to Winfield Blvd store. Edit: As the customer I want the final word. I have a hard time believing my printer went kaput magically in the 2 days my laptop was in the shop. They offered to lower the hourly charge but I am not agreeing to an added significant charge before I know if anything is my fault. Doubting I am the very first to experience this, I would think a store would have a standard policy such as they come out and identify problem and if determined to be their problem, I pay nothing. If determined to be a problem on my end unrelated to their work, I pay for all charges. I feel this is logical but I can't see ever getting there when the only negotiating is the price and it is not up to me to tell them how to run the shop. He completely set up my home office and fixed an email issue I had been experiencing with Outlook. My newer PC crashed last week and suspected as an operating system issue. Brought in store and was recommened to perform a free diagnostic that would take 1 or 2 days. Called 2 days later for an update and was advised it was going to take another 2 days. Called again and advised it was going to be another day. Still not done. It took a week to complete vs. 1 to 2 days to confirm that the hardware was good and it was a software issue. Should not advise customers 2 days when it could be a week. I had another local repair shop complete the entire repair same day in 1/2 day. read more

He explained the process for the free me he would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. I got a little anxious and called and it was still in process throughout the which was a very complex issue, communication was clear, prompt and professional. They claim free estimate and finally ask you to pay $199 to open subwoofer. to open subwoofer it required to unscrew two screws and sliding off back cover. i do not recommend this service at all! I had to drive twice to their location for nothing. I would like to underline that I was completely aware what was wrong with my subwoofer and i did not need the same diagnostic for $199 . I communicated my diagnostic to your technician before I left subwoofer at your location. I can even bet on this that subwoOfer just needs some resoldering. I cannot turn on my Roku TV and since the Oscar will be presented on the weekend, I am under pressure to get the TV working. I called around and found ClickAway. The people at this location has the best people and amazing customer service. I'm always greeted as soon as enter to see what I need. Another location had fixed a cracked screen due to a laptop joint issue. They did not replace the screen correctly so the screen was blocking part of the camera. This was not great for virtual meetings. Since this location was closer for me, we went here for the repair. They repaired all that was needed and timely. Stellar tenacious support work. I was foolish to forget to backup as I never, never had an external drive crash and I did losing 2 years of work as that was the last time I backed up. That 2 years had business and personal accumulation of things I just couldn't think I could re-do, find, or realize I lost till I needed it. Eddy and his team at the Campbell store were literally with me the whole way as it was brutal job that took a long time restoring my external hard drive's data. But holy moley they did it - a complete restoration. When I say complete, I am saying they handed me a new external hard drive (yes with the huge caution to back it up) with all my files restored in perfect order. And the picture attached you'll see is one of my fur babies I had for 16 1/2 years that I had to put down which I lost a bunch of her pictures. (there's another fur baby too but one pic is enough to make the point). Clickaway saved my you know what's it and I am so grateful. Realize too that a job like this took time and I did have to pay for my service to be done. There were parts that had to be ordered from overseas, they looked at it and tried but it had to go to a clean room, etc. It took work, time, effort and service so yes there is a cost that went with this. I was already aware of the potential so others doing reviews on cost I wonder did they check with other providers. For example, full restoration I was stunned as I know another provider would do the job but my files would not be in order, they would be kittywampus all over the drive file. My files were all back as I had it before the crash. My research work in history was all back including someone's thesis book given to me. I can breath way easier now and I see all my work life and personal life from 2 years back! The time, effort and money paid was worth it. Every time I called, they took my call and they called me back with status. It was a drive for me to get there too, but it was one drive there and one drive back to get it back all in order. So my Samsung 20 FE needed a new screen protector. After stopping at four places. I had no luck. I called Clickaway and they said they could help no problem. When I got to the store in turned out they couldn't help even I mentioned the specific phone but they would check with their other stores. Fuming I went home and found them on Amazon. When they called back they said their other stores did not have the right part. I told them I was ordering them from Amazon. They said I could bring in the part and they would install it for free. Brought a new laptop (that was recently gifted to me) to them because it would not boot. It got hung up asking about a SIM card or something. They initially quoted $500 (!!!) to reinstall the OS which also included a couple bonus follow-up visits for free! Wee!! When I declined, she said she could reinstall Windows for $400 (!!) but I wouldn't get those free follow-up visits. Rhetorical Question: Why would I want to pay $100 extra for "future visits"? And why would you include that in the initial quote to fix my laptop? I would hope I wouldn't need anymore visits, but if I were happy with their service, I would certainly return to them when needed. Most crappy Dell laptops (like this one) doesn't even cost $500 brand new. The idea of paying someone that much just to wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows is absurd. I feel bad for the non-technical people out there that might have fallen prey to this pricing. read more

My 2 year old computer was running super slow so I decided to give ClickAway a call. I spoke with Kevin on the phone and explained what was going on. He told me that they would run a free diagnostic on my computer for me. I told him that I have very sensitive material on the computer and that I really did not want it wiped clean. He told me he would do his best. I was able to make a same day appointment for 12:30. After dropping it off and telling them my concerns again, I left. About 2 hours later a received a phone call telling me that they can fix my computer for $299 and keep all my information that was on it. + if I wanted a back up hard drive that backed up the my computer automatically they could set me up for an additional $100 "I think he said" I passed on the back up 5:30pm I received another call telling me the computer was ready. When I came in Kevin walked me through what he found "basically he said it just needed a good tune up. The store manager asked me how I herd about them, I told him that I had Google searched the shop he then asked if I had tried to Yelp search them because he would give me a $50 credit if I did, I told him "you know I'm a Yelp elite member but I actually did not search them on Yelp "feeling shame because I am a elite member and it did not dawn on me to use Yelp" he then told me, I'll tell you what I'll do for you , if you want I'll throw in the external hard drive and set you up for your computer to automatically back up at no extra charge. "Wow, seriously!!" Totally was not expecting that. So when all was said and done I paid the original price to fix the computer and basically comped me a hard drive and set it up for me. The next day I got a fallow up phone call asking if my computer was working as I expected. I said yes it works like new again and thanked them for a job well done.
