Bought a phone from here, returned it within the 2 week trial period, realized this store was still charging me $23/month for it, called Verizon corporate who said that they saw the receipt of the return but for whatever reason this store never re-adjusted my bill. It's been 5 months, I've called this store 6-7 times explaining the situation. Each time the reps don't have the authority to make the changes and are waiting on their manager to come back from vacation/being sick/grabbing a coffee. This place hardly qualifies as a legit business. STAY AWAY!!! GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU GO HERE!!! Here's my quick story: 1) took a laptop in with a video problem; 2) got no clear estimate as to when it would be fixed, or when they would call me (they NEVER called ME **EVER** in my entire ordeal, I always had to call them even though they always said they would call); 3) when I finally got my laptop back (three weeks later) NOTHING had effectively been done, the problem still existed, BUT all the data on my computer was infected with the Mellissa virus which destroyed all of my data (I had always kept a copy of NAV on my computer but the tech took that off because "had thought this other one was better"). The tech failed to explain that all of the data on computer that was intact when I dropped it off was gone, but he did tell me that the service was completely free of charge. Oh boy. At one point I actually visited the shop to find out what was going on and they COULD NOT EVEN FIND MY MACHINE IN THE SHOP. During my visit ANOTHER unfortunate customer came to the shop to find out what was wrong with his computer and they didn't know where his computer was either. Went there last weekend to upgrade my phone to iPhone 7. I was told by another verizon store that I would only get like $30 for my "old phone" (samsung galaxy 6 edge). I couldn't get the phone that day so I had to wait a week for unforeseen circumstance. I assumed it would be the same here so I didn't push or ask for anything as I planned on keeping my old phone and giving it to a friend or someone who could use it. I worked with Christian Mendez and he was AWESOME! He was not only friendly and helpful but asked about my old phone and if I wanted to trade it in. I told him what I was told before and he said he wanted to look into it for me and asked if that was ok. I said sure! He found a deal for me to get almost the ENTIRE amount I paid for the phone back. I had a CD disc stuck in my computer and for a long time I tried to remove it. Finally I called Apple for help. After about 10 minutes trying, they couldn't help me and suggested I call a couple companies for help. One of their referrals was Click Away. I spoke to Jeff who helped me within one minute! Based upon purchase of new HP desktop I needed major assiistance in getting reconnected to the internet (modem and router user). The old Cisco router access code key I had would not work and the router needed to be reconfigured. ClickAway tech Bhim Rai arrived at my home right on time and within minutes he had my router reconfigured. Took it to ClickAway, and the technician, Jay, mentioned that he opened it up and found the other company had really botched the repair, and would do his best to fix the problem. I would give ClickAway 10 stars if I could. Jose, their tech, and everyone at their Los Altos office, gave 100% to me when I needed a lot of very time-consuming help. Jose, their tech who came to my home to do a very complex job on my computer, did a superb job. It took a lot of time, but he did not mind that at all, and was very patient. He did everything I asked him to do, and did it very well -- made sure that everything worked to my satisfaction before he left. It took him hours to do all that I needed, but he never complained about that, and never rushed through anything he did -- which I really appreciated, and he did a great job. Jose is a nice and low-key guy, and is very pleasant to be with, as is everyone at the Los Altos ClickAway store. The people at the Los Altos store are always willing to answer whatever questions I have, either right away, or they had someone call me back. And they are open 7 days a week, so you are not limited to getting phone or in-store help to Monday to Friday. Please note: they do not have a full staff on hand on weekends, so I think they only do service calls Monday-Friday. And the products they sell seem to be high-quality, which is very important. It is wonderful in this era in which few businesses have bricks-and-mortar sites, that ClickAway not only exists, but seems to be prospering. It is great to have good people you can trust to answer your questions and work on your computers. Bottom line: I really got my money's worth -- and my computer has worked flawlessly ever since Jose came over and worked on it. Hello: I am an older adult who owns a computer, and iPad, but is not very "Techie." I needed an updated cell phone so went into Verizon Wireless near my home to upgrade. I had no intention of an iPhone, and also no intention of being coerced into one, yet I am familiar with Mac products. The outdated iphone 4 under the senior citizen plan turned out to be my choice - with a small other phone for my husband. Now here is my recommendation reason: Giovanni encouraged me to come in often and anytime - after a phone call to him, and he has patiently and often tutored me in the use of the iPhone. I highly recommend ClickAway of Los Altos. The staff is always extremely friendly and competent which is critical if you're looking for someone to dig into your IT problem. I had a problem with a USB flash drive and a video .mp4 file that I had copied from my Mac OS to this USB drive. When I tried to play the video on an LG LCD TV it got stuck because there were additional hidden files. I tried to look for the hidden files in my Mac OS to delete them using terminal commands, but was unable to find them. Bhim Rai was there to day to help me out! He was very courteous and very knowledgeable. He looked at my USB disk with Windows 7, was able to find the hidden files that were showing in the LG TV screen but not in my Mac OS and was able to erase those pesky temporary files immediately allowing me to see the video I had just created in a continuous loop. Recently I was hacked and found an Apple shop near my home in Orange County to repair my Mac. When it was returned yesterday, the tech asked if the machine had ever been repaired before? It turns out I had a hard drive crash in February 2013 and took the machine to Clickaway. They installed a new hard drive, added 2 GB of memory to the 1GB that had come with the machine and transferred all the data. Everything worked fine. However, it turns out that the wiring for the hard drive had been scotch taped inside which was a fire hazard and very unprofessional. Also, memory should always be added in even amount increments to help balance the machine as it shifts work loads. As a former Apple store guru, he was skeptical of the work that had been done. read more

I was extremely pleased by the professionalism and service at Clickaway Computer repair. My 4-year-old laptop was crashing and the folks at Clickaway took the time to figure out what was going on. Initially, they replaced my hard drive but the problem did not go away. I brought it back the next day and they prioritized fixing my computer and were able to make it work like it did 4 years ago! I appreciated their availability and time they took to explain what was wrong with my computer. Jor, the man who fixed my computer, was especially patient and skilled. The service was non-existent and the associate I spoke to refused to honor the quote that they gave me (and tried to double the cost).
