But this staff was wonderful in every way. The lady drawing my blood was very kind, patient, and gave me a count down. I was shocked at how gentle she was, how little it hurt. Unfortunately, I got fuzzy vision and passed out, even wet myself in the chair. When I came two both ladies on staff were helping me, very kind, giving me water and helping me to lie down. Nothing but professional despite how embarrassing the situation was for me. After laying down and cooling off I even felt comfortable being poked again to get the last vial necessary for my labs. I did not catch their names, but thank you both for helping me today.

We delivered our first son 10 months ago here and they were amazing. We plan to have our next children here. I've been present in other births at other Austin area hospitals and nothing compares to the care and quality at BSW Lakeway L&D. It's like they recruited the best nurses in central Texas. I can go on to say that their ICU is also amazing. About 13 months ago we said goodbye to my grandma there at the age of 94. They were so wonderful making her comfortable with her final breaths and so gracious to us while we said goodbye. Great bedside manner. Highly recommend this hospital all around.

I was told someone would return in another 30 minutes to review everything, but after 1 hour and 10 minutes, no one had come back, so I went to registration for help. About five minutes later, registration came to discharge me. I was told my X-rays showed nothing concerning and that my MRI referral was being completed and someone would return shortly. They never did. I waited and ultimately left after three hours. As I told registration I was leaving, the nurse who checked me in raised her voice and said, "You're welcome to leave." I understand ER delays and the need to prioritize more serious cases, but the ER was quiet, my X-rays were complete, and I received no meaningful updates. My main concerns were the lack of follow-through, poor communication, and dismissive treatment when I decided to leave. I expected the staff to provide timely updates, complete the MRI referral as promised, and communicate respectfully throughout the visit. Very disappointing experience. *at this time- there is still no MRI referral, X-ray results/exam notes in my BSWH portal.

Something I noticed is the needle they used was a lower gauge (bigger needle) than what I'm used to; it was a little painful while waiting for my blood to drain and left a good sized bruise on my inner arm afterward, but otherwise my experience here was good! I went to CPL on Brodie Lane to get some blood work done…read more I parked in the parking lot and then walked in. I didn't have an appointment but luckily they take walk-ins. I spoke with the person working at the front desk and she told me to sign in. They would call me when they needed my information. So I signed in on the tablet and took a seat. After about 5 minutes the person working at the front desk called me up. She took my insurance and Drivers license and made copies of them and then returned them to me. After that I sat down and waited. I waited for about 10 minutes and then a woman called me back. She did an excellent job getting my blood. I didn't feel the needle at all and felt comfortable because she talked with me throughout the process which made it go really fast. Overall it was a good experience. Plenty of parking, very friendly service, and an excellent phlebotomist.

She felt comfortable giving medical advice from passing a test from memorizing answers. I stated again we are here in order from a medical doctor. This is the problem today. This person does not care for my dad or seen his bloodwork, but comfortable overriding medical orders. Who does that?

Service depends, as with all businesses, on the folks who are on staff that day and the volume of patients. Get there on a slow day with the amiable staff, an excellent experience. High volume day with a cranky person, flat experience. I've seen both. I still say this is a good location due to it being hidden--the volume will be lower than other CPLs. But, that doesn't mean it will be low--just lower (if you hit a busy time). I'm increasing my stars because, with my increased visits, I'm finding friendlier phlebotomists.

Unhappy employees make for unhappy customers. I almost always have to take a specimen in 2 days in a row. There is no simple "drop off". You have to wait in line but it seems for EVERYBODY'S well-being, you should get out as fast as possible since the reason you're there is because you are sick and being kept in a small room with occasionally, several to many other sick people. When it's your turn They grill you, critique the amount of your specimen and ask for non-existent paperwork. I sent my husband in the first day to take in the first specimen. He came back talking about the mean lady. I went today. She's more than mean she's horrible. In the 3rd window. Not nice, doesn't like her job and doesn't like people. I feel sorry for her. It's not an easy job I wouldn't think but it's made a lot worse by bad management. And I venture to guess the other locations are bad sometimes but you can always count on this location to be ugly.

She mentioned we would likely have to come back multiple times for re-treatment. 10 seconds later, wart zapped. 2 weeks later, a bill for $226. 5 phone calls to billing plus a review of the charge by the doctor, doctor denied any adjustment to the charges. 7 months later, wart is still there and so is the bill. You would think that a doctor, out of care for her patient and basic human decency, would advise on the costly price tag that this frozen zap would be. I appreciate the transparency of coming back multiple times, and now understand the benefit to the doctor and the clinic of withholding how much this would cost! I appealed this first with my insurance company, who said the appeal needs to go through ARC billing. The doctor's response was that I should've inquired about the charge prior to the "procedure". Do you know the steps for that as outlined by the front desk? I would have to ask for them to request the amount based on the doctor's code. I would then be called with the amount, and should I decide to move forward, I would return, pay my copay, and then it would be performed. I will not return to this particular doctor, and really question returning to ARC in general.
