This was my (and my friends') first time and I was excited since I love a wine bar. I will say it was quite disappointing. I will start with the good - the Wednesday happy hour for the wine carafe was great and we enjoyed the wine. Our server was kind and attentive and recommended a wine for our taste. That being said, the food was below average. I was warned about the food but I wanted to try for myself and yikes. The breaded cauliflower and shrimp tempura tasted worse than the dishes across the street at the movie theater. Really just all fried and oily and not tasty. We got the charcuterie for 3-4 people, and there were pieces of salami that only came with 2 pieces. There should be at least 4 pieces of each to share. The pecans and the pita that came with this were stale. What saved the day was the blackberry burrata salad (even though it barely should be considered a salad). The pizza was pleasant! We went on a rainy day, so we had to sit inside and the ambiance was not great. Not a wine bar feel. Luckily I was in great company and had a good time with wine! The only time I would ever come back is on a sunny day so I can sit on their nice patio and only to have their wine. read more

A great wine bar I'd visit more often if it were closer. "Michelle S" was a wonderfully friendly bartender that made the experience even better. Clink Wine Bar is a gem in the Lakeside Flower Mound area. They have a fantastic selection of wines from across the world. They do some great happy hours through the week. Wednesday all day happy hour is my favorite with half price wines and appetizers. The happy hour sangria is fantastic. It's a great place to recharge and relax mid week end of day with some good food and great wine. The appetizers I personally enjoy are the ricotta dip and the sweet and spicy shrimp. read more

During those chances I was mocked by the server on my puffy jacket, on the second chance I told her the wine gave me a headache and she said I was dehydrated and when I asked what a 2 ounce wine pour looked like she said 2 ounce is 2 ounces but I can see she is very kind to people around me. I think the fundamental factor in visiting here is this: 'How much do you want to spend?' It's a tapas place so they serve small portions for a full price, 5-oz pours instead of 6, and offer superb wines that are quite expensive. Lots of the food offerings are unique and tasty, some are spicy...some good salads on the menu. Service was good, and they set good standards for their choices. I personally don't catch a thrill from buying $60 or up bottles of wine, or $17 glasses, so that limits my options...very nice and comfortable place with patio seating as well. read more

At the entrance, there was a girl of about 12 years old welcoming us, and a boy around the same age sitting at the bar. A MUST visit if you are visiting the FloMo / Lakeside shops area! This was a pleasant surprise after my hot yoga class. There were lots of locals out on the patio enjoying their vino and snacks. For my cider lovers, they also have an abundance of flavors! Which includes the ACE brand, my absolute fave. The cheese was amazing as well, make sure you get the goat cheese with the jam. It was a very satisfying little plate and they have different sizes so whether you are dining solo or with a bunch of girlfriends there's a variety to try and you may add different meats. They also have different entrees if you want dinner! And it sounds like they are adding different dishes often. I enjoyed my snack plate for dinner so much I'm going to go back for ACTUAL dinner soon and very soon! They have live music on weekends as well. It's such a lively environment and cozy at the same time. Right up my alley! My only desire is I wish they had something like this closer to home but it is still on my after work radar so I will be making a trip back soon and very soon. Clink is a modern wine bar with many options. The service here was very good, and they mention from the get go that they do smaller portions. The atmosphere and color schemes were a bit outta place, and some of the wines on the flights were out the day we went. The food was good, not really amazing. We did mention that this was our first time visiting, the manager came by and chatted with us and gave us a free dessert on the house! We tried the dessert, and unfortunately have to say it was really bad. We might of had 1 bite each, it was a molten cake that was just reheated. Would really like to try this place again, maybe the food had an off night. read more

This wine bar and tapas place just opened, in Lakeside area, of Flower Mound. My friend had heard it was great. It is new, so they are working out a few kinks, I think: service is a little slow at times and waiters are not totally on top of it. But...really I think they did just fine, especially when I found out they opened a couple of days ago! The owner came by our table and was very nice and personable. They have a great wine list. I tried 3 and my husband tried 3 others. All of them were amazing. There is only wine (it is a wine bar!) and some beer. So don't bother asking for your favorite cocktail. The olive appetizer was better than I expected. I even asked the owner what kind one of the olives was, because they were so delicious. I loved the warm ricotta dish, but it was silly that they gave us 3 points of bread. A plate of a little more bread was brought later, when requested...3 times... We shared everything with our friends (another couple), for a very nice meal. They all enjoyed the shrimp plate. The charcuterie board for 3-4 was perfect for the 4 of us. I wasn't even planning on trying the chips that were ordered, but when I did, I was hooked. There is something about the sauce. For my wine favorites: starting with the Sparkling Rose is perfect. I wish I had gotten a 5 oz, instead of a 2 oz pour. The Cab Franc. I had to get a second 5 oz pour! The biggest downside was the noise. I like a party feel, but we wished we had been able to sit outside, because we had to scream at each other to talk. There must be something that can be done to buffer the noise. Also, I called to make a reservation the night before. The guy started to take the reservation, but when I said it was for 4 people, he told me I didn't need a reservation. Well...there was luckily a table when we got there. So, you may need a reservation! We all decided we need to go back and try the rest of the menu items. read more

I was hoping the sauce would balance the saltiness from the meat. Warmed ricotta with fig and walnuts sounded a lot better than it tasted. It was still very good - but different, just not what i was expecting. It was great with the bread. I think I was expecting a little more sweetness to come from the fig with a mixture of the cheesiness of the ricotta. Their mixed vegetable plate was great! Had a Indian spices seasoning over it. We came for a date night & loved Clink! It's like a tapas bar you'd find in Santa Fe! We love Chardonnays & our waitress served us a flight and we ended up finding 4 new favorites that we've never had before! We ordered the cauliflower tempura that was amazing! And I ordered the mushroom tart for Moab entree, I've never had anything like it before! My hubby ordered the shrimp and quail, because everything was so delicious, he wanted to try another dish! I was so excited about this wine bar and I was so disappointed after visiting. Upon sitting down 2/4 wine glasses on our table still had lipstick on them. Then reviewing the menu - it was cheaper to order 2 ounce pours of the same wines that were in a wine flight than it was to buy the flight. We ordered the sparkling wines and they were all flat, and all unevenly poured. The food portions were tiny - we ordered a charcuterie board serving 3-4 people and it was 4 slices of cheese and 8 slices of meat for $24. I called to make a RSVP and Laurie, who answered the phone could not really take care of my RSVP and needed assistance, which is fine until she doesn't put my call on hold and I can hear her complaining about my basic request. Then comes the dinner part - The wines were excellent, but only 2oz pours; the food was just average and neither I nor my dining partner ate or enjoyed the main course which lacked seasoning in every way. At the end of the meal, we are brought our checks and there is a 30% tip added to the bill. I scratched it out and my credit card was not adjusted for the changed amount. Our table shared the Sweet Pig pizza (delish!), Greek Salad, spiced pecans, burata caprese, and all had a wine flight. A lovely wine bar with a great menu. The flatbreads are exceptional and the wines are lovely. The diverse menu encourages diners to try a bunch of different things, and it serves the concept well. I knock off a star for two things. First, the noise level was a bit much and there was almost no soundproofing. It was hard to hear my companions. Second, the tables were tiny. I understand being space efficient, but anywhere that expects to serve lots of small plates should select their table size accordingly. It made for a lot of dish shuffling and elbow bumping. I've been with my husband 3 times now, but not good experiences so far. The place inside always has a heavy chlorine smell, they probably use too much Clorox to clean, and outside is too hot and sometimes they don't turn on the speaker, which make it super quiet so you can hear other people's conversations; now it has improved with the outdoor fans that ease the heat and fly problem a little. My husband was clearly uncomfortable because this place seems to be a lady's wine bar, all women, he was the only male in the place, and high pitch of voices and even a baby crying all the time(I personally don't think a wine bar is place to bring babies or kids!) made us feel even worse after a long day of work. Our teenager server was not knowledgeable about any of the wine selections nor the food and clearly needed training on serving. I was looking at the menu on the table and he suddenly put the glass of water literally on top of the menu that I was reading ... are you kidding me? The albóndigas were not in salsa verde as the menu said, but the tomato sauce instead was delicious, however, our salads unfortunately were swimming in dressing and balsamic vinegar... very tart, not good. Flat bread was good too. The wine selection is good and price average from $8 is ok, but in the case of the food for small plates charged as big plates I found it pretty pricey. I am so happy to find this great wine bar! Not only do they have great wines from all over the world, they have great food, my favorite appetizer is the spinach and artichoke dip along with the burrata salad. It has so much flavor. My favorite dish is the caprese pasta it has the perfect amount of Lemmon zest, and has amazing flavor. The atmosphere is intimate and the owner is wonderful. She made sure our food was out on time and that everything we had ordered was to our liking. Highly recommend this place for a girls night or cute date night. read more

Poor service, which stinks! Great location, just not a friendly staff. Wouldn't recommend - just go across the street to the tavern!
