    Baked brie toast

LOVED this place. Shocked I'd never been before, loved our server and the baked brie flat bread was insane. I will definitely be coming back for this. Great happy hour and good drinks. We got the petite charcuterie as well which was yummy.

The food and service were excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with our choices which turned out very well. Given this was Valentines's Day, we had the breakfast brunch of biscuits and gravy, avocado toast and the big breakfast. All were excellent with good portion size and flavorful treats. Would highly recommend giving this new bar and restaurant on the Riverwalk a chance.

If you wanna feel special, do not go here, we aware it was my birthday and nobody said happy birthday. The food was cold. The chicken marsala sauce was broken. The salmon has barbecue sauce on it, which was very weird. I can appreciate having four people take care of our tables, but what I can't is they don't talk to each other so nobody told the chef that I could not have seeds and seeds came in one of our entrées. The bubble flight was amazing and so were the cocktails. Deviled eggs were delicious. We had the same sides on our dish which did not make sense. Oh let's talk about the music. They played ACDC It is definitely not wine bar where you go to relax. And how does none of the workers or the owners realize that the lights that are under the bar are hanging down and in need to be repaired. It was clear to us that this place being only open for two or three months definitely is going to need some help.

In other words, you'd never catch a glimpse of it by simply driving through town (thank goodness for Google maps!) and even many of the locals are unaware of its existence. We did manage to find it though, with hopes that the food would be worth the effort it took to get there. My husband and I both started with caesar salads. Other than being a little heavy on the dressing, they tasted ok. The pecan crusted salmon and mac & cheese were next for me. The coating on the salmon tasted like the same stuff a Thanksgiving sweet potato casserole is topped with. Unfortunately, that's the one thing I never touch because I'm just not a fan of the flavors. Unlike the salmon and salad, there was nothing objectionable about the mac & cheese. My husband ordered a filet that arrived really cold and underdone. It was closer to mooing than medium rare like he requested! Even after they took it back to the kitchen to cook it some more, it came back pretty raw. The chocolate cake we had for dessert was probably the best part of the meal. It was so rich and decadent that we didn't even miss the raspberry sauce (I assumed they purposefully left it out since we got it to go). Considering that the management here has opened and closed so many different restaurants in this same spot, you would think that they would be experts by now at running a successful establishment. But for some reason, they continue to put out the kind of lackluster food that can be found for a lower price at a major chain. At least they can boast having a beautiful view if nothing else.

The food here is not as expensive as I'd heard, and it was delicious. Try the smoked chicken and jalapeño cheddar sausage - nothing was dried out, all of it was fresh. The green beans were sautéed with garlic, and the elote was seasoned really well. The star of the plate was the smoky, rich flavor of the barbecue sauce. The bartender may have been having an off night; the martini was icy but oddly bland, and the old fashioned was OK but not great.

I ordered : Fried rice (2.5/5) - good amount of veggies, but way too greasy. Tofu bites (3/5) - crispy outside, but lacked flavor. Garlic noodles (3/5) - decent, but also on the greasy side. Mango chamoy smoothie (2.5/5) - more like a slushy than a smoothie. Overall, the food was just average. Nothing terrible, but nothing I'd go out of my way to get again. We had no idea it would take an hour and a half for our food to show up. And when it did well, here's how it went. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the wise guy pizza. My wife enjoyed her plate. Based on the last time I ordered the same pizza a year ago what showed up on the table was a sad echo of something that used to be good. The sauce was very thin and to the point of almost being nonexistent. The meatballs were very stingy as if they were trying to increase their margins by short serving a basic pizza. Overall, it was very dry and lacking of any discernible taste. No doubt because it sat in the kitchen for quite awhile, given the unusual duration that it took for our food to show up. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. It was a very dry and disappointing for something that used to be overloaded with flavor, sauce and meatball chunks. It was a marked contrast from when we had been here a year ago. What used to be a regular go to has turned into a sad disappointment. I'm putting it down to perhaps they had an off night. But we're not in a hurry to come back anytime soon to see if that was the case.

Food wise: got a smash burger which came with fries, which if I order it again I'd probably change cheeses and ask for some pepper to season the fries a bit more ... all personal preferences... but was ok for something to eat to off set the two drinks I had while there. I also got some tacos to go for my husband. Again personal preference, he would have liked more seasoning/spice on the actual meat of the taco vs being as reliant on the salsa. So, on our next visit we might just stick with shareables/apps with our drinks.

I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken, and I have to say, it's one of the best Pad See Ews I've had! They definitely didn't hold back on the chicken--the strips were generous, and the flat noodles were cooked just right. The dish was very flavorful and well-seasoned. My only issue was the broccoli, which was a little too raw for my liking. I think another couple of minutes of cooking would have made it perfect. My husband ordered the Chicken Yuzu, but unfortunately, we found it quite bland. He ended up taking it home so I could jazz it up a little. We also ordered the vegetable spring rolls. The filling was a bit mushy, and the inner wrapper was soft rather than crispy. They came out very quickly, so I'm wondering if they were rushed or not cooked long enough. This is probably something I wouldn't order again. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive, responsive, and pleasant. The ambience was quiet, with not many diners, although we were there around 4:00 PM, so that may have been the reason. One thing to note: the menu states that an 18% service charge will be added, and for parties of 5 or more, it's 20%. I'd definitely come back for the Pad See Ew, though I'd probably skip the spring rolls and Chicken Yuzu next time.

I didn't want to write them off completely before giving them a second chance though, so I came back with my family for an early Mother's Day dinner. On a busy Friday night they were fully prepared for the rush. Fresh chips and salsa arrived at our table just as we did. Happy hour hadn't ended yet, so we ordered a round of margaritas that also showed up quickly. Already this was an improvement over the previous visit. It was when we got our entrees that I was reminded of why I originally lost interest in this place. My chicken and cheese enchilada meal was about as average as it gets. My husband and sons had the same impression of their meals. To be clear, there was nothing wrong with any of the food. At the same time, there was nothing special about it either. Another thing that didn't help the situation was when I asked for their spiciest salsa they brought me a tiny cup that contained maybe a couple tablespoons of it. I didn't realize until the bill came that they charge extra for it. Furthermore, it was barely hotter than their regular salsa. Had I known all that, I would never have bothered with the request. Now, I have no problem with garden variety Tex Mex as long as it's priced accordingly, but I expected more here due to their higher prices. Fortunately, there's a Tex Mex place on practically every street corner and Mi Dia isn't the only game in town.
