The service representative told me the parts would take 2-3 days to arrive and another day or so to complete the repair. She also knew from the beginning that this was my brother's car, that he was out of town, and that I was coordinating the service for him. Around 3:45 PM, I followed up and was told that the district manager had approved the repair and a rental car, and that I needed to come in immediately because the dealership closed at 5 PM. Since there were no shuttles available, I paid for an Uber to get there. When I arrived, after providing all the requested documentation, I was suddenly told that I could not get a rental because the rental had to be in the registered owner's name. This was information the representative knew from the very beginning. Had I been told this in the morning, I would have saved myself the time, frustration, and unnecessary Uber expense. I was then told I could rent a car elsewhere and that Kia would reimburse me. I went home, researched that option, and followed up to make absolutely sure I would be covered. Initially, I was told everything would be covered. After asking additional questions for clarification, I finally learned that the outside rental also had to be in the registered owner's name. If I hadn't kept asking questions, I could have ended up paying the entire rental bill myself. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and a complete waste of my time and money. The biggest issue isn't even the rental policy--it's the lack of clear and accurate communication. If there are restrictions on who can receive a rental or reimbursement, those requirements should be explained upfront, especially when the dealership already knows the person coordinating the service is not the registered owner. Family members share vehicles, cars are gifted to family members, and people routinely handle service for relatives who are unavailable. A dealership should be able to clearly explain its policies and provide consistent information. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, wasted time, and unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses.

I called multiple times throughout the week and never received a return call. Since no one responded, I finally stopped by in person, only to be told to come back Monday. As I was leaving, an employee named Charles knocked on my window. After I explained how upset I was that no one would return my calls, he asked, "Why don't you just trade it in and get rid of the problems?" Keep in mind, this is a 2025 truck that I just purchased. He then told me to call him if I wanted to "downgrade." The whole interaction felt incredibly unprofessional and dismissive instead of actually helping resolve the issue. Then this time he refused to work on my car citing it as a "pain in the ass" and too much work. If you have a Lexus take it somewhere else. First problem was a valve leak an second one was a replacing oxygen sensor for reference.
