Stopped in C'los for lunch and ordered a bacon, cheese and avocado burger and potato wedges. I ordered the burger medium rare, but it came out medium well (no pink or red whatsoever). The burger featured bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado served on a large bun. Potato wedges were generous and enjoyable. I cut the burger in half to demonstrate its large size and generous amount of avocado and lettuce as well as the two slices of bacon and tomato. Service was friendly and quick. It appears prices have gone up by a couple of dollars or so but I hate the fact that they don't have a menu with clearly posted updated prices because they can literally charge whatever they want with menus like this. Sopes have gotten much smaller but are $2 more. It's no longer worth just ordering it a la cart, you're better off getting the lunch special. The young girl working the front today & answering the phone didn't speak any English. Food is still tasty but no longer 5 stars in my opinion. read more

Looked for some place to eat while at Thermal. FYI: there is nothing in Thermal. Checked on Yelp and this place ranked 4.5 stars. I thought that was pretty good for Mexican food out here. It was not easy to find from the street. You have to drive up and see the suite numbers so you can locate it. They did not have a visible business sign. Inside they had portable a/c's blowing, I guess their central air must be out. We were seated right away, as there was only a couple at a table. For being a 4.5 star place it was pretty empty for the lunch hour. I ordered the half Greek salad and chicharron pupusa, and my friend ordered the carnitas torta. They brought the torta out first. It was huge. My friend could only eat half. He said it was really good. Then my salad came out and it was a pretty decent size for a half order. It wasn't anything special. Then I tried the chicharron pupusa and that also wasn't anything to rave about. What I did like was the price for the food. We each paid about $12 for the lunch. It can't get any better than that for a sit down restaurant. The service overall was not bad either. We sat there for a bit and we weren't interrupted like most places. If you're out in Indio give this place a try and see for yourself. read more

This is our secret spot. The is no signage out front so it's not easy to find. It is far from fancy inside. We found this place looking on Yelp one day and tried it out. We have had most everything on the menu. Even the pizza which looks like a frozen pizza when it comes to the table but was surprisingly really good. The pupusa's and sope's are out of this world. All the other Mexican menu items are phenomenal. The prices are super cheap. The owners and staff are so nice and the service is great. Pupusas are very good tbh, in-fine experience is not that great, they are very uptight with salsa, Chips, and basically charge extra for anything extra you ask for. The amount of salsa given isn't enough to cover one pupusa or taco, it's a joke & for another tiny cup of salsa it's $1.60. I ordered 1 sope and 1 pupusa. The sopes come with lettuce, cheese, onion, avocado, chicken or beef and salsa on top. Apparently this place has been open for 8 months. I just recently saw the rand opening sign and a sign that said they had pupusas. It was a little loud as you walked inside. Acoustics aren't good. Staff is friendly and attentive. I tried two types of pupusas. The chicharrón/queso one was so good!!!! I also tried the sriracha wings which were equally delicious.
