I came in for a soda and decided to get some French fries. I should say, no one was in the place eating, so it seemed unusual since it was early in the afternoon. When the cook dropped the fries into the fryer, I noticed he only it a few fries. As they were cooking, in another basket were old fries, and the cook dropped those in the opposite side of the fryer and started reheating those and put them all together and was getting ready to serve them to me. I had to tell him I didn't want re-fried French fries, and he had to make another batch of fries. Why would I want something that was already cooked? It was bad enough that I had paid over 5 dollars for French fries. Maybe that's why the place was empty. If you cook more than you expect, maybe learn how much you need to make so you're not wasting your money. read more

Horrible experience today, went to have breakfast with the family, my first and last time ordering breakfast there, mushy hash browns and burned bacon, also ordered a stack of 3 pancakes and was given 2 cold firm things. Stopped here on our way through the Coachella Valley. We felt very lucky to find this little restaurant. The food was amazing.. between three of us. We had a taquito plate with rice and beans. We had a pastrami sandwich and we had chili cheese fries. I am sincerely passionate about my food and it was delicious. I didn't realize it until I was editing my review, but they closed at five. I'm pretty sure we got there after five and they still took us in. Thank you very much to the employees who went above and beyond and let us in and fed us. We had a very long work week away from our families, and got a flat tire that delayed and turned our normally 3hr drive into a 6 hr adventure. We are so grateful for your business. read more

This is the second time we've been here and definitely the last. We arrived when there were only a couple of tables taken. It took us 30 minutes to get our food. The girl forgot to bring me silverware and when asked took another 10 minutes to come back. They brought our food our lukewarm and no toast. I reminded her about the missing toast and still she didn't bring it. I finally got up to go to the counter and told them about it and five minutes later, we get the half toasted cold bread. Stopped by today after years of not going. I remembered why. I ordered a patty melt and it was very lacking. The bread was very toasted and dry, small patty of meat and very little onions. It was hard to eat. The fries were okay. I probably won't be going back. Hope they improve upon the food they serve. What makes a patty melt are the grilled onions and the meat. This is my family's go-to spot when we want easy, comfort food take-out. I'd spend a little extra for Maxcy's burgers and diner food any day over McDonald's or fast-food chain restaurants because the food tastes so much better and is satisfying. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and quick. Even during COVID while they're only open for take-out, service, speed, and quality of the food hasn't wavered. There are other Maxcy's locations in the Coachella Valley (which I've tried), but I'm partial to this one next to Stater Bros. off Madison and Highway 111 in Indio. read more

This place is a concert goer's best kept secret.....until now. I've been coming here for breakfast while in town for Coachella the past two years and I have nothing bad to say about this place! we get shuttled to the stater brother's in the same plaza from festival grounds and we always come here as early as possible to grab breakfast before the crowd arrives. the people here are super nice and attentive. the service is absolutely phenomenal. they have so much patience for concert goers, even the rowdy ones. the food is delicious and reasonably priced. i've never had anything else other than breakfast so i cant review anything but what i've had. they have a variety of omelets to choose from and also your typical diner breakfast selections. i usually order omelets because it's really a complete meal in one. you can also create your own omelet with your choice of fillings. i did that once and was very pleased with my food. you will be spending approximately $10 per person including drinks when dining here. they have TV's that typically display the news. there are plenty of seating in the dining area. the only thing i dont like is that there is only one bathroom ( 1 for men and 1 for women). when it gets crowded, especially from the concert crowds, everyone's fighting to use it since it's a luxury for us compared to the campgrounds porta pottys. awesome place, great food, fabulous staff! just dont tell anyone else ;) read more

Had brunch while waiting for my tire to be installed next door at America's tires. I actually really appreciate the Maxcy's in La Quinta. I was surprised they were so different. The interior is kinda sad, in need of an update. Lots of mirrored shapes decorating the walls. The girls working appeared to be understaffed. They were hustling but a bit stressed. We ordered coffee and asked for water. It showed up 15 minutes later. My son's burger was good, mind you what I ordered wasn't the best thing to review a place on, the salad was good but the soup was out of a can. I couldn't eat it. I think my expectations were that it would be as good as the other location so it threw me. We won't be coming back to this one. read more

The burrito was wrapped in what appeared to be an old tortilla, there was hardly any machaca, mostly cheese, and the egg was burnt. The OJ tasted like someone had squeezed lemon in it. I usually eat here if I am getting my tires changed or simply want a quick, cheap, stuff my face breakfast. Order the specials, like the $5.99 cheeseburger meal. I often get that and substitute the fries for zucchini (way good). Or the steak and eggs, when I'm in the mood. Not too many healthy options, but what'd you expect from a place with the word "grill" in the name? Placed a phone order this morning, picked it up and went home. When we got home we realized they gave us two orders of bacon and eggs when I had ordered two orders of steak and eggs. I called the lady that took my order immediately, and she said it was her mistake. That she had marked me down for two bacon and eggs instead of steak and eggs. I asked if we could just go pick up the correct food and she said yes, so my brother went to pick it up. When he got there, this lady had the audacity of charging him for the new orders when she was the one that messed up! We had to drive back to pick up our food, and still paid for her mistake. Came in for lunch and ordered a Gyro. Asked if it was lamb and the girl said yes. Also asked for the taziki on the side. She obviously didn't understand english because it was smothered in taziki and no way it was lamb. It was a preformed piece of a mystery meat!!
