The owner Chad answered the call and was very patient listening to my explanation of the problem. He clearly knew what was needed and we scheduled a day and time. The day before our scheduled appointment I asked Chad if he would be able to replace my garbage disposal, no problem. I took a picture of the existing disposal and sent it to Chad. Chad arrived on time and I appreciated his assessment and on what would be done. He installed the pressure regulator with copper piping and recommended if I would like to have a water outlet installed. Great location Great idea! Chad also replaced an old hose bibb valve that was stuck to the hose. The garbage disposal installation went well and his assistant showed me where the reset on button is located as well as what to do if the blades are jammed. I highly recommend Plumbing Kings Hawaii because they are reputable, honest and reliable. Chad has immense knowledge and expertise in the business beyond his years. They came back with a proposal of $35,000. After reviewing the itemized estimate, I immediately advised her to get additional quotes. One line item alone was $1,660 to install four hose bibbs (spigots)--something she never requested. There was no discussion about adding new hose bibbs or performing related work throughout the house that would justify this charge. For context, hose bibbs are inexpensive parts (around $5-$10 each at The Home Depot or similar retailers) and typically require minimal labor. We obtained two additional quotes from other plumbers: $4,500 and $3,900 for the same repair. Based on this experience, the pricing from Steve's was extremely inflated and concerning--especially given that the customer was an elderly homeowner. If you consider getting a quote from Steve's, I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates before proceeding.

I used them a few times in the past and they were good. One of my tenants scheduled with them to repair an actively leaking angle valve. It was scheduled 5 days in advance. 535 just canceled the appointment the next day claiming that they don't have the part, and they don't know when they can find it. This excuse as pure bs. It's a common angle valve. I could go up to the hardware store right now and pick one up. If you need a plumber that will stick to their scheduled appointments, 535 isn't it. If you are a building manager, do not recommend to your tenants, they will only make you look bad.

They needed to send someone out here to see it. I found this strange. I seriously just wanted the quote as their phone number was on my water heater so they would know best what to do. I knew already that this may just be a grab for money since I want the quote and I'll just take the fee. Turns out taking off and putting back on the solar panel is a big cost. What I thought would be about 1k was over 4k. A quarter of the price of my roof project. That's not the expense I thought it would be and I did this to be fair since the roofer has an upsell to remove it and place it back on. Needless to say, I'm going with the roofer's price.

They essentially did an over haul of our plumbing (just didn't do the parts that would require a tear up of my house which I appreciate). So far everything works great and they were great about explaining everything that was happening. Stuart also fixed a leaking shower only to find out the people that originally installed it were missing pieces and they set our new toilet. He also did a few other random add ons by us which we're thankful for. Best of all we have a toddler that absolutely adored them and they were great with him. Our son can be annoying and in your face and they never seemed to get upset or annoyed and just rolled with it which I truly appreciated. Truthfully our son was sad when the work was done and they no longer came around. We highly recommend you check them out!

Messaged Brenden and he responded immediately and said he could drop by first thing in the morning. He acquired all the needed materials and arrived right on time. I was impressed with how fast he worked and how clean he left the area. He was done before I knew it and now it looks like a brand new shower.
