This company really went above and beyond to suit our needs on our new closet! We knew that our closet was going to need to be replaced, as it was 30+ years old and was slowly but surely failing. Annie R. is the reason we chose this company, her customer service is WONDERFUL. My Husband contacted another company for an estimate but they were not very customer service oriented. I looked up Closet Factory on Yelp and I requested a quote when I called them. Our Closet Factory Designer/Engineer was Annie R. She showed up on a big game day in our home, which was fine. She introduced herself and I invited her in to check out the space. Annie was able to talk to me and get a feel of what we wanted and needed. She noted the options after she took measurements. Annie was VERY patient with us. She took a short amount of time to create a vision and design for our new closet. We like her customer service oriented approach to the project. Pricing was similar to the other company, but Annie was just a better fit for our needs as customers. You get what you pay for, truly. We agreed on the design that we wanted, a date and time for install, and a VERY REASONABLE payment plan. Halfway into the timeline, we realized that we wanted Closet Factory to do the demolition work of the old closet. We contacted Annie and she was able to accommodate us, no problem. This changed the install date to a 1 day work appointment, and we were super excited; we are super busy working people so this added to our liking of Closet Factory. About 2-3 weeks before install day, we realized we would be called out of town on urgent business. We contacted Annie and she was so kind, professional, and super understanding about it. She was able to secure a new install date, and IT HAPPENED!! The closet technicians arrived at 9a on our install day. They went to the closet area, set up their equipment in the driveway/garage area, and started scoping the work. The demolition started and they were very thorough. The closet technicians were done at 2p and they did AN AMAZING JOB building our new closet with Annie's vision. They even cleaned up afterwards and left the space as clean as they found it! We are definitely going to utilize Closet Factory for more spaces/areas in our home. We are also spreading the word to our friends and family. IT IS SOOOOOO NICE!!! I highly recommend. We booked 2 quotes on the same day, hours apart. The first company sent a designer who showed up 30 minutes late. What was supposed to be an hour long consultation turned into almost 3 hours, cutting into our appointment with Stephanie. To make it more uncomfortable, the other designer used some pretty strong sales tactics at the end when she knew we wanted to think about it. Stephanie, on the other hand showed up 5 minutes early. I apologized to her than we were in the middle of another consultation that was running (way) over. Stephanie was kind, she waited patiently without ever asking when she can begin. Long story shorter - she began her measurements and designs when we were ready. We ordered a custom closet and signed a contract for a 16 inch deep bedroom closet on one side of the corridor connecting the bedroom with the bathroom. The other side has a 24 inch deep open closet we wanted to keep. We were unaware we had agreed to a 16 inch deep design in the new closet. The decorator did not mention that the two sides would not match. We had not realized this was part of the design. The decorator did share with my wife that she was sure that I would want to replace my side as well. During the installation we noticed the discrepancy and were told they would have to order new material at a new charge. We did not want to incur new charges and were upset the designer had not pointed out the mismatch more overtly. We asked them to stop the installation and complained to Costco. The company kept all the supplies we had paid for and refused any refund. Their model for closets is 16 inch depth. We decided to replace all the closets and pantry in our 1970s ranch style house. After some demo work, there were four closets to do: two quite large ones (entry way and main bedroom), and two smaller ones in the two smaller bedrooms. We interviewed three different companies, and - by a LONG shot - liked Closet Factory the best. Besides the fact that their bid came in at about 2/3 the price of the other bids, we found that they were the only company that had the finish that we wanted (a rich cherry woodgrain look) to match our decor. We worked with Mike Lopez, who explained things well, and was incredibly patient with us as we decided on configurations of closets and drawers. We ended up with essentially built-in wardrobes: the closets were covered by either floor-to-ceiling doors, or 2/3 doors, with stacks of drawers below. After we settled on the design (including the handles) we waited for about 3 weeks while the closets were made in the local shop. The installation - a team of 3 installers - was flawless. The team was quiet and respectful, precise, and neat. It took two days to do all four closets. And WE LOVE THEM!! Our storage space has increased by about 50%, and we can now get rid of the chests of drawers in our bedrooms. The closets look AMAZING! The cherry matches our floors and furniture beautifully, and they bring a sense of space and calmness to the rooms. If I were doing this again, I would - without hesitation - go with Closet Factory. Annie came to the house within days and was so knowledgeable, friendly and great to work with. She measured everything and got back to us immediately with a design that met our needs perfectly. Greg showed me all the sample drawers and other options and answered any questions. Our installation date was very quick - just a couple weeks which was impressive. The installation team did the demo of our old master shelving and had our new one up, all in 6 hours. David and his crew did a fantastic job and were polite, efficient and cleaned up everything. Since I'm pretty handy, I was able to paint over any drywall repairs (needed due to demo) after install and put up some easy peel and stick wallpaper over some of the shelf back walls for more interest. If you don't want to deal with any demo repair, it might be advisable to hire someone to do the demo and any paint/repair before Closet Factory does their install.
