Reshma and Neel helped us every step Of the way with our kitchen remodel. They also made sure we were happy and fixed a few items that needed follow up.

Neel and Reshma were awesome! Our house is 27 years old and we never had a bathroom or our kitchen remodeled. I am horrible with making design decisions. They helped me choose a great kitchen and 3 bath remodels. They helped be choose great colors, style and flooring. Neel came up with a way to make our master bath much more open and gave us a great barn door! One of my favorites - is we had a 'closet' in our kitchen area that he turned into a pantry! I wish I had done it years ago! I have so much more room in my small kitchen. We are so happy with our home - it feels brand new!

We found Eat Gather Love at the SD Home show. I called and got an immediate appointment with Frank. He came up to Fallbrook and helped me with the redesigning of the same footprint. He had excellent suggestions and ideas. We checked out where the cabinets were constructed in Mira Mar. Adam and Sam built our cabinets and then installed them also. They were meticulous in every detail of the install. I asked for extra shelves and they delivered. I asked for extra rollouts and got the order in promptly. They will be here soon. Adam and Sam went above and beyond for this project. This was a very smooth project and my cabinets are fabulous. I highly recommend this company for cabinets.

After much research about Kitchen Remodeling, and checking into numerous companies, we decided to go with Reshma and Neel at EatGatherLove. It was the best decision we could have made. From beginning to end, they were very helpful, professional, warm and caring. They advised us and always listened to what was important to us. The kitchen turned out amazing... better than we could have imagined, and we LOVE our new kitchen. We highly recommend these wonderful people at EatGatherLove. They are the absolute best!!

We can't say enough good things about EatGatherLove. They did a fantastic job on our kitchen, family room and bathroom remodel. Frank was so knowledgeable and detailed oriented when he came out to give us a bid we knew right then we were going to go with EGL. They started the project when they said they were going to and showed up every day to complete the whole project in less than 5 weeks. They refaced our kitchen cabinets and family room builtin cabinets, added new cabinets and replaced the countertops. Everyone who worked for us was courteous, clean, dependable and most important, they were very skilled at what they do. We absolutely can't recommend EGL enough !!

One example of damage inflicted on the walls.

My husband and I went with EatGatherLove for the fast remodeling time (approximately 2 weeks) and the reasonable cost for new cabinets, countertop and sink installation. Yet looking back on the finished project, I wish I had asked more specific questions about the scope and what's included, or gone with a completely different contractor. First Reshma (Shanbhag) Patil and her husband, Neel communicated to us the entire scope of the project with an invoice with the cost of labor and materials. The invoice was modified once as we ask for some customized features. Yet, as the project progressed, I realized that EatGatherLove wasn't an all-in-one contractor. With the demolition of the old kitchen -- specifically removing the existing backsplash -- holes in the backsplash were predictably introduced. Their solution was to increase the backsplash to cover up the holes without patching up. Some holes were small but some were noticably big, so big we could see the drywall and fit several fingers through. I voiced my concerns to them and they patched up as much as they could, free of charge but with a statement that it wasn't usually in the scope of their renovations. With the addition of the backsplash, we were told near the end of the project that it would incur an additional cost when we initially believed it was already included in the invoice and verbal agreement they would use remnants from the countertop. Additionally, their installers lost two important pieces from the previously kitchen that we voiced to them that needed to be carried over to our new kitchen: a undermount screw holding the faucet to the sink and and a box which powered our over-the-range microwave. As mentioned by the installers, they had lost track of them and believed them to be in the dump along with remnants of our old kitchen. More annoyingly, we had asked the installers several times to remove all under cabinet light fixtures but they left one. Their excuse was they didn't see it although I find that explanation hard to believe as they covered it with molding. Now behind the upper cabinets lies a lamp connected to a switch. Neel's solution for fixing this was to sever the connection from the light switch. There's an unusable light switch in our kitchen and a hidden overhead lamp in the ceiling. As for the cabinets, they were exactly as we ordered with a few dings and scratches that were replaced. Yet there were still problems, namely vertical changes in the size of the cabinets. The top cabinets are about two inches shorter throughout, an explanation that Reshma says is standard throughout the industry, and the bottom cabinets are now an inch taller than before; something I noticed immediately since I stand approximately 5"2' tall and now have to strain to reach some cabinets. While the difference in upper cabinets were remedied with some patch work and touch up paint, the lower cabinets proved to be more troublesome. An internet search shows the standard for counter height is 36 inches and after measuring the new cabinets from bottom to the top of the new counters, our kitchen counters is now 37 inches. An inch difference doesn't seem like a much but because of that a new problem was introduced: our range sits notably shorter than new kitchen counter tops. Neel's solution for this height difference is to install lifts, basically remnants of our countertop underneath the feet of our range but first without a statement from him that leveling the range was out of the scope of this job. Neel agreed to remedy with a fast fix by using tucking cabinet remnants under the feet of the stove. I believe will prove problems down the road if we even decide to replace the range and/or have to move the range away from the wall and thereby sliding off the lifts. It looks bad and for the amount we paid, we assumed that he would have a better solution that the one he used. I thought if he introduced a new problem, in this case a height difference, he would also fix it. My advice for anyone who decides to hire EatGatherLove is to specifically ask if the dimensions will change, if damage will be inflicted what their remedy is for it and to get everything in writing. That will help determine whether you need additional contract work to patch walls, some to do electrical, install appliances, etc. In addition, I strongly encourage you to throughly read the agreement prior to signing especially in regards to changes in work order, an item they fail to follow through on. I love our new kitchen but knowing there are a few flaws and negotiating throughout the project has put a damper on the final outcome.

They were great from start to finish and gave us a very fair price! Even with the quarantine going on, they worked with us to make our dream kitchen come true!

They are a nice family business, and they have seamless coordination between the designer, cabinet installer, and stone installer. You won't run into a situation where gaps are left between subcontractors. 2. There were no hidden fees or unreasonable change orders. The final price was exactly what was initially quoted. 3. We chose Dekton for the countertop, which is fabulous but also known to be harder to fabricate and install. Our countertop was so masterfully completed; the grain patterns all matched up and fit together perfectly. 4. Marlene, the cabinet designer, has vast knowledge of products on the market, which gives her the capability to create ideas for non-standard options. 5. Carlos and the cabinet installers, were so multi talented, they did custom carpentry work per customer's wish, and also electrical connections and drywall finish, all with good quality. 6. Celia, the schedule controller had clear communication for the timeline, no over promise, all realistic, no back and forth changes, which makes it easy for the customers to plan their schedule around the construction. Overall, I wanted to highly recommend SD Cabinets and Stone to potential customers.

Review Update (2026)…read more I am updating my original 5-star review from a few years ago. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.
