I agree with Mike B. from his review 2 days ago. I pulled up today and it was busy because the weather was nice. The guy driving cars into the cleaning station was stepping hard on the gas and then hard on the breaks, which there was no reason for. They also didn't clean my windows well and used my wipers at the end to dry my windshield. I drove home with streaks all over my windshield, which never happened there before. It's obviously under new management. I used to like Tuesday ladies day, but with the price at $10.99 and the quality of service, I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

***Closter Car Wash I am giving one star because I had to. On Saturday morning, November 14th at about 8:30 AM I took my car into Closter Car Wash. Due to the fact that it had rained the evening before I used my rear windshield wiper in the morning. After pulling out of the car wash and not being advised of anything I automatically did that again and to my surprise there was no rear windshield wiper. It had been torn right off. The entire mechanism needed to be replaced. The entire apparatus costing me about $90 to replace this morning. I went back immediately and the gentleman there at the time apologized to me for the windshield wiper and said to leave my details so that the Manager, Rudy would call me back. There was no such call. I called again on Monday and left another message. Again, no such call. I called again this morning and spoke with a lovely girl and left my information AGAIN. I received a call back from her (not even from Rudy) saying that they will not pay to reimburse me for my windshield wiper but would offer 2 car washes instead because there was no proof. Not good / fair/ honest business practice. I am not out to get a free windshield wiper! Damages to a customer car and the manager himself cannot even call to discuss or deliver the information? 2 car washes when it was clearly broken during my time at Closter Car Wash. I used them all the time and will never ever go back there. Sunset Car Wash is much better. I can drive the extra 5 minutes. I rarely post but this was just unbelievable to me and very dishonest. read more

Rating 2 - This is the first time I have been truly disappointed with the service I received. I paid for Combo # 2, specifically because I need my dashboard & console cleaned. When I received my car, neither the dashboard or console was cleaned. There were still the deep scuff marks in the console and the dashboard was not cleaned. The trunk space of my suv was still dirty and it didn't seemed to be vacuumed. I paid the extra money for more attention to the inside of my to be cleaned and it wasn't done to the expectations I am used to by Closter Car wash. Fortunately, I was able to call an employee over who was very nice. He got a brush, which they clearly did not do to begin with, and he scrubbed away the scuff marks and cleaned my console. I tipped him extra for that. Going forward be wary of what services you pick because what you pay for and what you get can be entirely different. read more

This place is hit or miss. Last time they did a really good job. This time they didn't even clean the inside. Water on the hood that wasn't fully wiped down. So I usually get the "The Works", they usually spend more time on your car but not today. Saw one guy cleaning two of my outside windows for 5 minutes. The process is quick though. Better to stick with the regular car wash instead of the works. Same performance for almost half the money. read more

This establishment is listed as a car wash however it is far more than that. I received a thorough detailing there just this past Saturday. I came in with dog hair ALL over the car and when I picked it up, I was nearly scared to sit in it because it was sooooo clean! Furthermore, since I did not have a ride there and back they gave me a courtesy ride to my home and picked me up when the car was done! (Of course, I tipped the driver.) This place is FANTASTIC!! I went here for the first time with my 5 month old and they could tell I was struggling. I had to remove both of my kids car seats, hold the baby, and get some things out of the car because it was FILTHY!! My dog knocked over baby formula and it splattered everywhere. Car wash was good not great. I got the $20 car wash service which included armoral on the tires. I used a $5 off coupon which I found in the coupon clipper mailer. My car was not that dirty going in. Came out clean, they wiped down the windows well. However on the inside they didn't clip in the floor mats back and in the back seat there were still a few dirt marks on the tab pleather interior left from my dog. The dashboard was quickly wiped down but needed a little more of a wipe down. This car wash was ok all in all. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They brought my car out of the wash and instead of parking it to clean the inside etc, they pulled it out of sight to the back again and I didn't see my car for 15min. Rest In Peace Jersey Nick's.... "Closter Carwash" gets worse every time I visit. I had been a loyal Jersey Nick's customer for over 15 years but now this place is just a shell of what it used to be. Jersey Nick's was the crown jewel of carwashes in the area but Under New Ownership is NOT something they should brag about. The following is how your NEW experience will take place: -First you're rushed out of your vehicle so that you can't read the menu and figure out why the price/service has inexplicably been changed again and leaving no time to gather garbage you'd like to throw out. -You will never be offered a daily special and get an awkward response if you ask for one as if they wish people didn't remember them. -Try not to trip over or slip on all the debris they seem to just blow out of the car on the floor every where (Cosmetics, napkins, plastic bags, papers, coffee cups, water bottles) instead of vacuuming them. -Now at the register don't worry about your costumer loyalty card because they got rid of the program, I guess a free wash after 10 is a little too generous, but enjoy the handful of coins as change now that the prices don't initially include tax to create a nice even dollar amount. -The entirely new cleaning staff will now provide you with a rush job of wiping down your exterior and windows leaving you with soap and water all over your car after traveling 20 feet from the carwash. They won't wipe your dashboards or vacuum under the seats but if you're really nice to them they will put a large scratch in your window tint free of charge. Jersey Nick's used to be the best bang for your buck hands down and although I've been patient with this place under its new ownership, I'm officially done with this carwash.
