Long wait for the ABC wrap & Chicken Wrap. Took 30 minutes to receive the order. Was disappointed after seeing whatericacraves on IG recommended the spot. I want to give a five star review because of what the worker or owner did for me today was something you don't hear of it very often. I was on a tight schedule and it was 1 PM and I had not eaten anything and I was starving and I had to be somewhere at 1:30 in downtown. I could've potentially had to be gone until 430 or five. The establishment was busy and I asked the gentleman who I regret not getting his name whether or not it would be possible to get a sandwich within 10 minutes indicating that I was in a little bit of a rush, but I wasn't expecting any sort of priority. That is when the kind gentleman said "no worries, Here is a half Italian sandwich." He literally just gave it to me. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but the thoughtfulness of this gesture was so incredibly kind and I think this goes a long way. I have so much respect for this business who looked out for me when it didn't have to. The deli itself is spotless, well-organized, and has such a great atmosphere. I was greeted by Alan, who was super friendly and helpful, especially when I mentioned it was my first time there. I ordered my food and sat outside on the patio and it was peaceful at first, but not long after the place filled up with people (which I'm guessing is because it's clearly a local favorite). When my food arrived, the presentation blew me away. Usually, with prices this good, you don't expect much in terms of plating but everything looked amazing and tasted even better. Fresh ingredients, great flavors... honestly, 5 stars all the way. After I finished my meal, Alan even came by to check on us and helped clear our plates, which was such a thoughtful touch. This place just opened up in east village and I have no words to describe how happy I am about it. First off the space has a super cute indoors with a few tables to sit at and they even set up an enclosed outdoor space with a fire feature. We tried their breakfast sandwich add pastrami and a hash brown. The ABC Wrap and the Breakfast veggie wrap (sub Avo for spinach) and I have to say this has got to be one of the best spots I've been to in San Diego. Each of the items were flavorful, the eggs were perfectly cooked and their salsa and chipotle aioli topped it all off perfectly. The service was fast and friendly, the owner John even checked in with us to see how we were liking the food. Overall 10/10 you HAVE to try this spot.
