Dessert for breakfast is highly recommended!!

My entire family looks forward to breakfast at cloud 9 Restaurant at the Senator in Augusta. The moment you enter it feels special. The service is always impressive! The booths along the window are cozy and comfortable. We arrived starving! Ordered the gingerbread with caramel sauce and whipped cream I was fortunate to snag a pic before we devoured it! My personal go to is the smoked salmon bagel. treat yourself at Cloud 9!!!

Their brick oven pizza buffet w/soup & salads is delicious! Two-three salads to choose from, a cold/pasta salad, a soup & 5 brick oven pizzas. The selection isn't huge, but it's very tasty! Soup was lukewarm yet tasty, salad was fresh & brick oven pizza was very yummy! Staff is always extremely friendly & appropriately attentive. Nice atmosphere for a lovely, quiet lunch.

We had an awesome meal with great service. Just what I wanted for dinner. My salad was already dressed and it was so light and flavorful. The amazing seafood stew (which I didn't take a picture of) was hot, full of flavor and lots of seafood.

We love Cloud 9 and go there all the time. We started going there when searching for someplace in Augusta that had raw oysters. On tonights visit we both had a favorite, the panko pan fried chicken with a lemon caper sauce. The ceasars on the side was excellent, and they know to add anchovies. Highly recommended for Augusta!

    Smoked "Maine" seafood...

Absolute garbage, though, our waitress was lovely. The food was awful and I can't get why this place had great reviews (maybe avg age of clientele)... The wife had a crabmeat panini (store bought bread) with an overwhelming taste of thyme?- but that was good, as it masked the rancid crab underneath, her cheese was unmelted on it too. I had a lobster roll for $19 that I kid you not was served on a hotdog bun!!! The kicker though, and what really drove me to write a review was our appetizer! We got the smoked Maine seafood, it was store bought sliced lox, (possibly) canned trout, canned oysters, and some tiny shrimp (definitely not from Maine, as the shrimp fishery has been closed for years)- with a bunch of greens... I just couldn't believe they charged $17 for that app!!! (Check out pic) Bar none, the worst food I've had in the state

Where do I start? First off our server was great. The butternut and chard was over grilled both times. The server respectively sent it back both times and then asked if we wanted another selection. We selected the red pepper humus which was great. I had the mushroom ravioli which was OK but the asparagus was charred on the same grill that the chard was cooked on so it also tasted burnt. The oysters on the half shell was great. If back in this area I will stick the humus and the oysters plus the bar drinks. Everything else is up to you.

The food here has always been amazing! I come to the Cloud 9 restaurant several times a year since I enjoy the in and out of the pizza/salad bar lunchtime special, being a working professional in the Capitol Area the buffet is always a good lunchtime option for the working crowd. The staff are always accommodating and polite, everything I have ever had has been wonderful. I especially enjoy the oysters on the half shell, always perfectly shucked and served just how I like with Tabasco, horseradish, and lemon. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because the food coming out of the kitchen is slower and sometimes the servers are slower to refill your drink/water. The salads are delicious, fresh, and generous, prices are reasonable for a higher end dining experience. The restaurant itself seems clean and well maintained, friendly staff, if you're in a hurry or on your lunch break I recommend the buffet. If you're not worried about your time and just want to savor and enjoy a slower-paced dining experience the Could 9 is for you.

    Crab dip with flatbread- delicious!

Overpriced. Good size portions. Our zucchini was overcooked and rubbery. My broiled fish was bland, but cooked right.

Bummer they don't open until May 6, two days from now. Continuing our drive north we came across the famous Moody's Diner that's known for their pies & down home cooking. They cook their own turkey so a turkey club is a must. For me it was either a 1/2 # lobster roll or a Percy burger with Swiss, onion & mushrooms. The burger was the juiciest burger I've ever had & I had a hard time getting it around my mouth. I managed to eat 3/4 of it & took the rest back to our B&B for later. We also had a side of awesome onion rings. If you've never been go eat & enjoy Maine cooking & hospitality. A factoid: They serve over 55,000 pieces of pie a year. Off to Whitehall B&B to rest up, go sightseeing & have an extraordinary dinner the night before our 37th anniversary. I forgot look at the size of this oatmeal raisin cookie we bought. Biggest cookie I've ever seen. BTW: Kris ordered a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, she didn't like it. I passed on dessert.

I went with the South of the Border Burger. No bun, pepperjack cheese and chili. They all blended together so well. The slight spice of the chili and cheese was a great topping mixture for the beef patty. The fries were right in the middle of crispy and soft. The North of the border burger was, "very tasty. Awesome flavor!" Which is a good review from my Dad who isn't much for extra on details. My brother got the Korean BBQ sliders special (not on menu pictures provided). The flavors were awesome. Lucky the kimchi came on the side, my brother wasn't too keen on the fermented cabbage. My mom had the curried chicken wrap, no wrap. So the kitchen made it a salad for her. Sh loves salad and curry. So why not put them together for a dish she really loved. The staff were all extremely friendly. They seemed to know a lot of the patrons coming in. In general the place is clean and well maintained. The Mrs ordered mozzarella cheese stick as an appetizer and the steak and cheese with sweet potato fries for her main course, and I ordered the Molly Mooberry Burger with onion rings. The Molly Mooberry Burger was a unique experience seeing that it was a burger, fried egg, bacon and cheese in between two grill cheese sandwiches. The mozzarella cheese sticks were served warm... they were flavorless, lackluster, and definitely came out a commercial size freezer box. The sweet potato fries were served in a large quantity and were okay. The steak and cheese was adequate. Overall, her meal was 'okay', and 'nothing special'. The Molly Mooberry Burger was order 'medium' with the fried egg 'over easy'. It all came out well done. No pink center, no runny yoke.... The onion rings were good. Total cost $57.00. Seems like a lot for a countryside diner. Over all we both feel that the food was heavy and greasy. The waitress was nonchalant, lackadaisical, and preoccupied beyond her abilities ad a waitress. We will not be talking about this place in the future and definitely not stopping back by when we are in Augusta.
