We found this place by mistake on a saturday afternoon because we were looking for another carpet store, but that billboard (the competition) was pretty misleading (but I'd seen this store before, on my morning/ afternoon commutes, so I was familiar with the name). We had already stopped at Home Depot, Lowe's, RC Willey. The floor is impressive, a plethora of possibilities, from carpet to tile, to wood to laminate to other flooring products. There is a small sitting area and the women's restroom is very nice, too. We got a verbal quote from David (at that point, it was the lowest price point). We liked the Dream Weaver Soft Touch carpet in a nice grey shade (we had the lightest shade of beige, and when you have two dogs and one child, it isn't the best choice for bedroom carpet.) He was professional and very nice, then gave us his card with the verbal quote on it. We told him that we were checking around. We wanted to check another place, bringing the total to five places. ((You better do your research when getting quotes, because the price the clerk gives you may not include this or that, hauling away the old carpet, and moving large pieces of furniture.)) Anyway, also, the verbal quote could also be a tad off from the actual quote since the clerk would still need to visit to get an accurate measurement (includes the closets). As long as it isn't like $500 off, then it's not a big issue. Well, in the end, we chose Cloud One because all points were covered- professionalism, good products, impressive home visit for the final quote (drew a diagram, had a laser measuring tool), the installers could work around the bunk bed in our son's room, they would get the old carpet hauled away, they could do the work in three hours on a saturday morning (we just had to move out all the little stuff in both rooms and the closets). We signed a contract and out down half of the cost down; pay the other half on installation day. And they delivered! The installation team of two did the work in three hours. Very Impressed. We will be recommending this company to everyone. Side note: We also got a quote on tile (exactly what we wanted) for another small home improvement project. read more

This is one of the worst, incompetent, companies bordering on scam. We hired/booked them to install carpet weeks in advanced and preped a residential for them, then they abandoned the job and still wanted to keep our deposit. With the threat of a lawsuit, they sent a different crew and did some work and bailed, we have attempted to contact them multiple times to finish the job and correct errors but they keep playing the blame game. We had to spend tens of thousands of dollars to have carpet redone by a legitimate company. read more

I had wood floors and carpet put in last July. I called Angela immediately to inform her how badd the tile job was done. She was rude, disrespectful and not concerned. I guess once they're paid customers dont matter. My insurance was obligated and responsible to pay for the wood flooring. My husband and I decided to do our upstairs carpet which cost us 4000 out of pocket. The carpet is now lifting and rippled in 3 different areas upstairs. The customer service at this store is HORRIBLE! I would have never went there but my insurance company forced me. Lowe's does much much better work.. Beware and be careful ! They're nice at the beginning, but once you have a problem they're not there to help you. The carpet guys are also thieves, so be careful !! Well I called and set up an appointment and rep from Cloud Carpet came out. A very nice, respectful and knowledgeable gentleman came to my residence. He measured and left white no problems. He stated that Marshall should be calling me shortly with a quote. I had told him I was trying to get this done this week and he said it would be no problem. That was early in the morning. I called him in the afternoon and he said once he gives it to Marshall it's out of his hands. This is day two and I can't get a call back. I really wish this could be a positive review especially since a friend recommended this place to me but I did not have a pleasurable experience. We were in escrow for a house and knew we were going to have to get new carpet. I went to several places when my coworker brought me here and introduced me to Penny. I picked a carpet I liked and brought the sample book home to my husband to look at as well. Two days later it was a Saturday and we went to drop the book off and asked one of the guys what the increase of price was for different pad- he couldn't tell me this info and said only MY salesperson could...okay so they work off commission but legit was a simple and easy question to answer. Called and set up a time for the measurements and that appointment went smoothly. Called Penny and asked when I would get the quote as we're trying to get the carpet installed sooner rather then later, was told I would receive it that night. Received it this afternoon and the price was much higher then expected. I asked for a breakdown of cost and was told they don't do that and that the carpet increased in priced from 2.10 square foot to 2.70..... the picture I have of the price when we picked it was 2.52 originally marked down to 2.10. I understand there can be issues with pricing but to just send a quote off and not even mention it until I bring it up is unacceptable. She told me the manager would be in on Friday to change the price. I called and asked to speak to a manager. That's when I spoke to Marshall and before I could even explain what happened to him I asked for his title since obviously above she mentioned the manager would be in on Friday. He then said "whatever you want it to be" in a lovely snarky tone. Although there are several warning signs as to why I should have walked away - this was the last straw. To sum it up- this place is a bait and switch and then hope you don't notice when they send over just a price. I did and thankfully will be going somewhere where I'm actually spending more then this quote but think the customer service is 20 times better. read more

When I inquired about doing the downstairs bedrooms for this year they raised the price 50%. I wish I could have hardwood, too many rules in my condo HOA. :( I knew I wanted a medium dark gray carpet. I found the perfect color, great padding, you have to have good padding. And best of all a great price. The Salesman David was great. Did not try to oversell or push anything on us. He came to our place to measure. Jason at Cloud was incredible. He went above and beyond (even during COVID) to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for at the fairest price he could give us. We first met Jason in September 2020 but we were on the fence about getting our floors done because COVID was so bad back then. He held on to our original quote and honored it when we were finally ready this past summer. The guys he hired (flooring, plumbing and painting) made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. The prices are comparable at other places but the customer service and the quality of the products they have here were the main reasons we went with them. I would NOT recommend Carpet One (Valley View) for any kind of floor installation. Penny was pleasant enough before the installation, but was not responsive when I contacted her with issues regarding the installation. The installers were nice enough, but did not offer their "professional" opinions before installation. As I am not a tile installer, it would have been nice if I had a "professional" opinion on certain issues. Consequently, the wood-look tile that I chose was not installed to my satisfaction. As the tile planks were 45 inches long, I believe the finished product should look like wood, not tile. I contacted the manager several times, asking for a resolution. He responded once and then chose to ignore me. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right" theory. Or at least trying to resolve a situation where the customer is extremely not happy or satisfied with a product!!! Stay away from this business. read more

I came across Cloud Carpet accidentally while looking for another tile company. I was in the process of remodeling my home, and I needed porcelain wood-look tile, carpet and outdoor carpet. Penny was the lady that helped me out that day, and I went home with a few samples and prices. She was extremely professional, and I was given the best prices for a rectified piece of porcelain so that I could go with the smallest grout line possible. I chose my tile and picked out both my indoor and outdoor carpet as well. The carpet installers were very professional and did a great job. George had Rusty come out on another day and install the closet doors and bring additional wood. When it was being demo'd, the required pieces had been thrown out which wasn't Cloud's problem but mine. George made sure to schedule the installation right away at no charge and Rusty did a fabulous job. Wow was I impressed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has flooring needs of any kind. They give you the best prices out there, and their staff is competent and such a pleasure to deal with. Okay I literally just created a yelp account to write this review. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Clearly I am not the only one according to these reviews who thinks the same way. I spoke with a woman named penny right before thanksgiving to set this all up. When we spoke on the phone the tone in her voice was not comforting at all and seemed as though she was irritated that someone passed her number along to me for service. She was a referral from a friend which is why I spoke with her and not the company number. She then proceeded to set up a measure the day after thanksgiving and that she will be out of town until the following week, but once she gets back we will set up installation. The next week goes by and never heard from her. Called her several times, left several voicemails and still nothing. I called the store and spoke with a lady who told me she will pass along the message to penny since she is at the store every single day. Another week goes by and at this point i am beyond frustrated. I decided to give the store a call today. A very rude man answered the phone. I then went ahead and told him my situation and his response was extremely unprofessional! He told me I need to call the guy who measured and the salesperson who I spoke with (penny). I said well i have been trying and haven't been getting any calls back so i called the store. He says "Well jim is the one who measured your home, RIGHT?! Then you need to call him." I understand that a lot of reviews tend to over exaggerate things but i am not kidding this guy was rude! first of all how am I supposed to know not to call the store and the salesperson is the only one who can handle this for me. That gives you no reason for bad customer service. I guess this company doesn't want my money or they're just plain lazy. Do not use this company for carpet installation. Let alone anything else. Bought thousands of dollars worth of high end carpet for my home. Install was just ok, they had to come back and redo my master bedroom because they laid a piece of carpet in the wrong direction. Stop skimping, follow the arrows on the roll! Went back to see about getting a piece of carpet bound. First I couldn't find anyone, and when I finally did, she was with someone. After the couple left, we told her what we wanted and told her we were going to look at some samples. Quite a bit of time went by, so we went looking for her, and she was on the phone. We waited again for her to finish and another person came in and she helped them instead, telling us they had an appointment! We were mad so we left. Nice customer service! read more

Although this review is well overdue. I would highly recommend Cloud Carpeting for their inexpensive, prompt, fast and clean work. Unlike others where you still wind up cleaning after them; the Cloud crew made sure the new carpet and other areas were swept, vacuumed, and all the associated trash was taken away by them.They were stellar in all areas! read more

The carpet installers did not put the dinning table together after purchasing over $8,000.00 worth of carpeting. I showed them the glass top that the movers leaned against the office wall. They originally said two more men would come to help them after they were through with all the rooms. Hector, installer then called someone and said Cloud would send men out the next day. Operations refused to do the work. I even gave him a sofa and entertainment cabinet since I no longer had the room in this new home. I suggest anyone dealing with this company to get it in writing! read more

Customer service at time of sale and install were great, service once a problem developed was very poor. We purchased Smartstrand Carpet by Mohawk from them 3-1/2 years ago. It began to show excessive wear and this year we began a warranty claim. In April, Cloud sent an employee to examine our carpet. He took photos and measurements and said he would write up a report. Months went by without hearing anything. After prompting, Mohawk sent an inspector out in August. It took us another two months+ before we found out our claim was denied. Our carpet's texture was deemed to be 3.0 out of 5.0 (with 3.0 being the minimum deemed acceptable). Our household only consists of two people, so it's not like we have the Brady Bunch running through the house. The carpet itself has a 20-25 year warranty that has proved to be worthless. The service from Cloud Carpet One after the install was worthless. While I don't expect a carpet to last 20 years, a $6K-$7K carpet should last longer than 3 years without showing noticeable wear. We purchased from Cloud Carpet One due to favorable recommendations. I guess those people never had problems with their carpets. I could have saved a lot of money by purchasing somewhere else...the carpet wouldn't have been worse than what I ended up with. We'll probably keep this carpeting for another two years (it'll be 5 years old), and then get rid of it. We won't be buying from Cloud Carpet One again, and we won't be buying a Mohawk product either. I could have just put my money through a paper shredder for what I ended up with. read more

I dealt with David the salesperson during the installation process of replacing my floors and everything went smoothly and I had thought the job was to my satisfaction. Once I moved into my place I noticed that the carpet needed to be stretched and dealt with George twice. The first time we had scheduled an appointment and said he would have one of his employees come over and take a look at it. We scheduled a time that was convenient for both of us and I waited for him but he didn't show up. I then called him and rescheduled a 2nd appointment and once again he did not show up and George hasn't returned my call. I am extremely disappointed with George's behavior since he did sound sincere and professional over the phone. But I guess after they collect your money they don't really care about you as a customer. It's too bad since I was going to refer them to a friend that flips homes for a living. read more

One of the best companies I've ever dealt with.... They did the install 12/2015 while we were moving into town and weren't even there to supervise. Not only did they do a phenomenal job, they were one of only TWO vendors that actually did the job they were paid to do, did a great job and have stood behind their product without fighting us along the way! We had them do both wood and carpet, and have been amazingly pleased with both. They have been back to correct stretching issues on the carpet, and replace a few boards in the wood that were making noise/delaminating. Never a fight, never an issue. In fact, they even came back and decided to fix an issue that was the builder's problem, not ours because they were here anyway. Wonderful people. I would highly recommend them. I know there are bad reviews here, but I just haven't seen that at all. I have enjoyed working with them and believe me, we are very picky and detail oriented. read more

I went to the store at 6555 S Valley View and talked with the salesman, Mike. Mike visited and measured the house size. 2 days later, two operators came to my house to install the carpet. Around 1:30pm, the operators said they did not bring enough carpet and would come back by 9:00am next day. I asked them to get more carpet and come back right way because the new residents would move in next day. The operators said their ware shop was closed on 1:30pm already. The operator just left the exposed nails up on the stair without any covering. However, they never shew up next day. I called Mike and he asked me just wait becasue he did not have the operator's contact info and could do nothing. To prevent the exposed nails hurting people, we have to cover all the nails. The day after the next day, the comapany called me to notice me the operators would arrive by 9:00am. I let the resident to wait from 8:00am. But, the operators did not show untill 10:30am. Overall, the company does not care customer's time, plan, and safety at all. The company saleman is not very professional becasue they can not measure and calucalate the carpet size correctly. The saleman can not control the operators. The operators even dare to lie and cheat customer easily. Very bad experience! Never use this company any more!!! read more

I decided to try this company after a friend recommended them. They had a small tiling job completed and were happy with the work. I met the sales person, explained I wanted a floor, shower demolition, and retiled. I explain it was a 1/2 bathroom with tiles also in the walls. I picked out some tiles, and he set an appointment to measure for a Friday, later in the evening. On Friday night, about two hours before the sales representative was to show up, I received a phone call. He said he talked with the instillation section of the business. They told him, the job was too small and he was not coming out. I tried to get a better explanation, but the only thing he said was the job was too small to do wall tiles. However, he did say if I found someone to do the job, he would be more than happy to sell me the tiles I wanted. Was that the real reason, I do not know. My friend's house was located in a higher income area of town. How could you say the job was too small without coming to see the job first? Not very pleased with the way I was treated, and I will not buy the tile from them, or carpet installed from them for my remolding job. read more
