Super cute cafe in a nice location! It's located next to a driving range and aviation center with plenty of parking. This cafe is super nice to visit on a sunny morning - I usually like to get a cup of coffee and pastry for breakfast and just chill outside and chat. The service is good and the coffee is always good and consistent here. I always order an iced latte and there's never been any issues.
I found this lovely café by chance driving by when I searched for a quick place to stop and work remotely before at an appointment at lunchtime in Palo Alto. I'm so happy I did because it's one of the few places that has a nice London Fog. I love that when you get your coffee "for here" it comes in actual ceramic mugs instead of plastic or paper. Thanks for creating less waste this way They even have metal utensils too! There is a long table inside with an outlet extension for working that could comfortably seat 6 people, but up to 10 if you really wanted to. Inside, it's bright with all the storefront glass and spacious with its open strut ceiling concept. Aside from coffee and tea, they also have salads, croffles, tartines of various combinations, and pastries so you can grab a quick bite or dessert too. Parking is limited right in front of the café but there's another parking lot in the area so I wouldn't worry about parking here either. The cloud 9 name and theme is so clever since it is right by an aviation club. The music inside is light and unobtrusive. Outside there's a peaceful, quiet patio with shade, sun, and flowers. Absolutely magical.
What a hidden gem! I came here on a solo brunch back in 2024. Felt like I was on Cloud Nine. I enjoyed sitting in the outdoor patio on a sunny day with a cup of hot sesame latte, salmon avocado tartine, and a matcha croffle while reading my favorite book. Everything was delicious, freshly made, and the server was kind to bring the food to my table. It was so relaxing and less loud since there was no music playing. Only great for conversations and remote work.
Sad to write this updated review as this has been our go to coffee shop for to go orders and the latest few times it has been disappointing but today was the worst; their croffles (my guilty pleasure, but in all fairness who doesn't love croissants made into a waffle with matcha?!) but this time their croffle was horrible, because it was made with old croissants and as a croissant lover you can easily identify reheated croissants, which is super disappointing and it was hard to chew, was dry and not good. Their latest lattes have also been not good so I wonder what happens to their quality? Maybe it's inflation but switching out ingredients? Disappointed and sad as this was an incredible spot :( I hope they fix it
Delicious food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the avocado toast, iced chai, and a latte and everything was delicious. The chai was perfectly spiced and refreshing, and the avocado toast was super tasty - creamy avocado on rustic bread with arugula, tomato, and balsamic. Yum! We sat outside in the sun and it was the perfect way to start the day. Will definitely be back!
Cloud9 Coffee is perched between a small airport and a golf range. With a small somewhat confusing parking lot and some street parking, Cloud9 Coffee is busy especially weekend mornings. The menu has a great selection of specialty coffee, tea, pastries, toasts and of course their beloved croffles. This Korean cafe is quite small inside with limited seating indoors but a good amount of outdoor seating. There is a small selection of merchandise, beans, and some dog products for sale. The pastries are from Midwife & the Baker so you know they're solid. Service is pretty inefficient and inconsistent here. Some of the orders are brought out to you by the workers while some orders just sit on the coffee counter unclaimed with no name or receipt attached to it. We received a drink and a toast via delivery to our table by a worker. We then waited 10 minutes for the rest of our order to come out but finally gave up and my husband went inside to check on the order. Apparently my iced coffee and scone had been sitting abandoned on the counter for a while. When he asked "is this the butterscotch latte for Stephanie?", the worker shrugged and was unsure of the drink. So it's safe to say, the service here is a bit messy and disorganized. The cashier never asked if we were dining for here or to-go. Our toast came out on a plate while the pastry came out in a disposable sleeve. Lack of communication seems to be the issue here. If they could implement a standardized pick up system and perhaps just stick with numbers (rather than names) it would be less confusing. Also if they asked customers whether they would like their order to-go that would be more efficient. Butterscotch latte - Creamy, good balance of coffee to milk ratio. Sweet but not too sweet in my opinion. Quite enjoyable and goes well with a scone. Brie proscuitto toast - The country bread is substantial but holds up well without getting soggy. The brie was creamy and rich. The proscuitto added a nice touch of salt while the balsamic adds a bold acidic contrast. All together with the greens and mangoes, the flavors come together well. Orangesicle scone with vanilla drizzle - Crumbly but still moist, this scone is refreshing and you can taste the citrus flavor. The vanilla flavor is a nice touch adding some light sweetness. Final thoughts: Coffee and toast/pastries were delicious. This is a great outdoor spot especially on a day with some nice sunshine. Service is a little disorganized and can be really confusing. We noticed the workers making a lot of mistakes with other nearby customers' orders. Unless they make changes to their communication with customers, I would suggest waiting inside for your order so theres less room for error.
Black sesame latte - Amazing latte! The best I've had in a while. My black sesame latte (with an added shot) was smooth and creamy and nutty and just the right amount bitter. A lot of the black sesame had settled at the bottom of the cup once I had finished the drink, so that taste was quite mild. I liked it anyway, like a latte with a hint of nuttiness. Immaculate atmosphere - Most seating is located outdoors, right next to a golf course. It's calming and bright and overall quite lovely.
Cloud9 Coffee was awesome! I visited on a Saturday morning and found the place pretty busy. The interior was bright and clean, with minimal decor and some indoor seating. Most of the seating was outside on the (dog-friendly) patio though. I love when coffee shops have real food on their menu, and Cloud9 had sandwiches, salads, and tartines. The tartines all sounded so good, I had the hardest time choosing, but went with the Brie Pear. For coffee, I chose the Thai Tea Latte. Service was pretty quick despite them being so busy, and I was able to snag a table outside. My Thai Tea Latte was phenomenal. The flavor was so good, and the drink wasn't overly sweet. I also loved the Brie Pear Tartine - such a nice combination of textures and flavors. Will be returning to explore more of the menu!
One of my fav spots so far! The vanilla latte has a great balance of flavors: the robust, nuttiness of the coffee vs. the lightly sweet vanilla. My first thought was that it tastes like Vietnamese coffee but less sweet which is perfect for me. Only downside is the WiFi is not great here, that is if you care to work there.
My husband come here every once in awhile. We love the calming ambiance of the sunlight over here. The parking lot is small, but we park in the lot across from it sometimes. I love their coffee and their croffles! They offer a pretty good variety of food, which is appreciated. The staff are always friendly and, while the food orders can be backed up sometimes, we don't mind the wait as we sip the coffee and slow down time on a busy morning
Casual patio coffee shop and outdoor dining for breakfast or lunch which is a bit of a locals spot. I can recommend the spicy tuna sandwich and flat white. Most tables are partly shaded and next to the Palo Alto airport and the Bay Lands nature preserve. Tip: best when it's sunny, warm and not windy. It's still fairly quiet as the airport serves only small planes, so a good spot for conversation with friends.
Went back today, it was a nice clear and sunny day with a slight breeze. I ordered a flat white and have decided their coffee is pretty decent. It's a nice open café, and the food menu looks delicious. staff are friendly.
I wasn't expecting to find this spot right by the Palo Alto airport. I tried their holiday drink the peppermint mocha, it was light on the peppermint and not too sweet which was nice but I wanted a tad bit more peppermint flavor. My husband got the drip coffee, and we shared a ham and cheese croffle. After one bite, I told him he needed to order his own. The croffle (croissant waffle) was buttery and chewy, with a nice balance of sweet and savory from the ham, cheese, spring mix, and balsamic glaze. There's a few tall stools inside but plenty of seating outside. Sometimes it's nice to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee and look up at the sky.

We ordered the iced cloudy latte and matcha latte. The matcha latte was really good and it was sweetened and very creamy. The cloudy latte is not too sweet, so I asked for added sweetener and it was perfect for me. I enjoyed the strong coffee taste in this drink. Service was quick and friendly! I like how there is a lot of outdoor seating here. I would definitely come back again! :) read more
The coffee itself was really good. Very subtle and enjoyable. The location was terrible for finding parking but the spot was really cute and had lots of people enjoying the space. Very nice inside. I enjoyed the vibe of the whole plaza. read more

Love this cute cafe. Interior is nicely decorated. I've had several of their drinks including the Thai tea latte and peachAde (peach lemonade) and food (strawberry croffle is most popular) which are all really excellent. Service is outstanding as they are attentive to the drink and food orders. Outdoor and indoor seating is nice. Great place for families to come and have a drink and bite to eat. Airplanes take off next door and my toddler loved watching the planes go up. Golf course and driving range next door and Baylands hiking trail is nearby too so great to grab a drink before going. read more

Very cute little cafe nestled in between a golf course and palo alto's small airport. Staff are nice and welcoming. I came around Monday at noon, it was moderately busy. There's plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. Wifi available to do some work. I got a white grape green tea and a ham and cheese croffle. Decent price for a nice cafe size bite. read more
Cute little cafe by the Palo Alto airport (didn't even know there was a Palo Alto airport). The Thai tea latte caught my eye and then I just couldn't resist my favorite cookie, a ginger molasses so this meal kicks off self care Saturday. The latte had that characteristic redness of Thai tea so clearly there is assam tea in the mix but it didn't really impart the distinct Thai tea flavor for me. The cookie is sourced from the Midwife and the Baker, an amazing bakery in Mountain View and it was as good as expected - exceptionally chewy with a bit of crispness from the course sugar topping, good ginger flavor from the chunks of candied ginger, and not too sweet. There is complimentary WiFi for an hour here so there were a decent number of people hanging out. Their front patio area is also pretty nice with some oversized games and some more cushiony patio furniture. read more
I really wanted to like this place because it's close to Baylands, which is one of my favorite places in the area. Unfortunately, the place is just too cramped and crowded both inside and outside. If you are just looking to grab a coffee togo, it is perhaps ok, but don't expect to sit and relax here with a cuppa joe and take in the views. They do have a good selection of coffee and food items, and the staff is friendly. I tried their cloudy coffee, and it was just about alight. Very limited parking as well. read more

My partner, my dog and I visit this coffee shop on Saturday around 11am. It was busy, but the line wasn't long and there were table available. The tables outside were also spaced out quite nicely, there was shade at every table, and space for the few dogs that were there to sit near the table and not worry about tripping someone, or them getting to close to anyone enjoying their coffee (although they were all very well behaved). It was a little windy, but the view was nice. Parking in the immediate lot is tough, but the golf course has good amounts of parking and they're right next to each other. I had the butterscotch latte, I'm not really into coffee, but you can tell the quality was good and smooth. The flavoring was not too sweet, and the latte was not too heavy. The tartine was also delicious. The portion size, and the spread was even so every bite was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful! If they noticed you were looking for your food, they would check to make sure it was on its way, and they were busy making sure the tables were always clean for the next customers that came by. read more
I loved it here! Don't bother trying to park right in front of the café. When you enter, turn left into the larger lot, which has plenty more parking. This is such a great spot to stop before or after a hike in the Baylands. It's right next to a golf course and a small airport, so you'll occasionally hear planes passing overhead. Still, it's a cozy little café with ample outdoor seating, and inside there's a long communal-style table packed with people on their laptops. How anyone can focus in such a bustling space, I have no idea, but more power to them. We ordered the brown sugar croffle, which, true to its name, is very sweet. It's topped with syrup that has a faint liqueur-like flavor and sprinkled generously with powdered cinnamon. The croffle doesn't come with utensils, so be sure to ask if you're dining in. We ended up eating about three-quarters of it since it was a bit too sweet for our taste (and that's sharing!). Next time, I'd probably try the plain one since that seems more up my alley. I also got the matcha latte, which was solid. It wasn't sweet, which I expected, and while I ordered it with vanilla foam, I couldn't really taste any vanilla flavor, so I'm not sure if it was included. Still, it was enjoyable overall. I just wish there had been a touch more of that vanilla sweetness I was anticipating. It was crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but the line moved quickly and we easily found a spot to sit. Next time, I'm definitely trying one of the tartines. They looked so good as people walked by with them. Yum! :9 Overall, I'd come back for the relaxed, peaceful vibe and prime people-watching opportunities, from high schoolers chatting about grades and college apps to techies and young families with kids. Super cute Korean-style cafe hidden by the Palo Alto airport. The location is a bit odd but this shop was super busy when we came by on a Sat around noon. There aren't many parking spaces but we were able to find space on a side street. I got their signature cloudy latte and strawberry croffle. Both were great and the latte was nice and creamy but still strong from the espresso. We sat at a table outside for a couple of hours and had such a relaxing afternoon! The staff was great as well and came by to collect used cups and dishes and were super friendly. read more
This coffee shop was sort of off the beaten path of downtown Palo Alto. It's located next to the airport and baylands golf links. When I arrived it was a Friday morning at 10:30 am and the line was out the door. The interior decor is super cute and just the type of coffee shop I'd love to spend some time in if it weren't so crowded. What I ordered: - Butterscotch latte ($5.50) - Egg avacado tartine ($9.95) My drink was well balanced and not overly sweet and my egg tartine was delicious but over priced. I was super temped to order their croffles but sadly I didn't. Oh well, maybe next time! read more
This was my second time at this location. This time I went on a Monday morning at 8:30am and it was pretty empty. There were plenty of seats inside and outside. I decided to try a new drink, Black Sesame Latte in addition to one of my other favorite drink at this place, Cloudy. I thought the black sesame taste was pretty good. I added an espresso shot to it since the original drink doesn't come with coffee and I thought it was perfect. The perfect amount of sweetness as well. I also love the flavor to their coffee, not bitter or acidic. Would highly recommend these two drinks! I love that there is plenty of outdoor seating and a lot of those outdoor seating has an umbrella attached to it for shade. Perfect to enjoy the day with your dog outside. read more
Cute coffee shop close to the golf course and Palo Alto Airport. Quite busy on a Saturday noon. I got an iced matcha latte and initially wanted a ham & cheese croissant but they said they were out of all pastries :( Unlucky for me because my back-ups were other pasties like almond croissant and pain au chocolat. I ended up going with the strawberry whip croffle. My drink was ok - pretty milky and not too strong on the matcha side. Croffle was ok as well, it got soggy quick and I wish it had more crisp edges. Tried some of the iced butterscotch latte and it was pretty good. Strong coffee taste with sweet cream with a little burnt taste. Not too many indoor tables but good amount of seating outside. Overall I wasn't too impressed with my drink/croffle but the ambience was very enjoyable. read more

Cloud9 is quickly becoming my favorite new coffee shop. It's so expensive to get coffee these days, but I feel like it's worth it here. I've gotten both the butternut latte hot and iced, but prefer the iced version. The smoked salmon salad is also delicious. There is a long communal table inside and lots of tables outside. Perfect to sit and chat when the weather is nice. I like that there's a good mix of small and large tables for when you're on your own or with friends. Ordering a long time on my last visit, maybe people were indecisive. If you want to speed things up just let them know if you want your coffee iced/hot and to go/ here when ordering. read more

At first I thought this place only served drinks but they also have a decent selection of food. We came here after a run so we wanted something filling and refreshing. My boyfriend and I both got the smoked salmon avocado salads. The portion is decent but I honestly think they could have more smoked salmon pieces. The salad dressing was actually really yummy and my favorite part! The bread was a little hard though. I also got the butterscotch latte and I had asked for no ice and less sweet, but the drink was fairly bland and I didn't taste the butterscotch flavor. When you come to the cafe, you order at the counter inside and grab any open seats and table you see inside and outside. Usually, they'll call your order at the pickup counter inside but a server also will bring out your order to you outside. read more
This place was okay. The interior is adorable, and I can see why people are so drawn to it (as was I). However the coffee fell so short. We got a regular iced latte with whole milk and the butterscotch latte and the butterscotch was SO sweet, I could only take one sip and no more. I won't say it was gross, just not my liking for coffee, I prefer mine strong and not too sweet. Overall I probably won't come back, it was cute inside but for the price I'd choose to go somewhere else. Service was fine, person taking our order was friendly which was nice. read more

What I ordered: -Cloudy Latte [5/5] -Butterscotch Latte [5/5] -- While searching for new cafes, I discovered this gem! Their lattes are some of the best I've had in a while. We tried the butterscotch and cloudy lattes. If you like sweeter drinks, I highly recommend the butterscotch latte. For a stronger coffee flavor, go for the cloudy latte. The cafe is small with limited indoor seating, but there's plenty of outdoor space. It's very aesthetic and minimalistic. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be returning! read more
I love this Korean cafe! As a cafe hopper, I enjoy exploring new cafes near me, and this will definitely be one of my go-to spots for working and chatting. Please open more around the Bay Area! You must try their black sesame latte; it's so delicious--perfectly blended with cream and a shot of black sesame, not too sweet. The butterscotch latte was great along with the pear brie toast. the service was okay, didn't interact much other than to order and pick up. Cute little pottery wall of little things you can buy. I'm not sure how this place got my radar, but it was bookmarked and I was in the area, so I decided to try them out. I think this coffee shop is really 3.5 and I almost wanted to bump it to a 4 (mainly for the helpful and friendly young server at the register), but ultimately I think the overall experience itself was more like a 3 so I'm going with that. I'll start with the glass half full here. Kinda. I like the 10th drink free stamp card, though I think it'd be better if they updated this to an electronic system like most places. I didn't factor this into the review rating at all, just an observation. Got a flat white and thought it was all right. They used Oatly which I like; I'm not a fan of the Kirkland Signature oat milk some shops use. If I was in the area, I would go back, but I don't think it's worth coming here out of your way. Parking was surprisingly tough unless you park in the Baylands Golf Links lot, which I'm not sure is OK if you're not actually going there -- will someone enforce? Idk. Pastries are decent, they're from The Midwife and the Baker like many coffee shops in the Bay Area. A lot of the pastries were sold out before lunch time, but they have a more extensive lunch menu with items available; shoutout to the reviewer who posted a lot of helpful photos (indoor, outdoor, and menu). Why this place is a 3 - honestly, the service was not great with the exception of the person that took my order: - I loved that the coffee was served in ceramics since I dined in. The pastries were bagged, which is not a problem, but I asked for a plate and it came with food on it. They explained that it was likely next to the prep station so the food was not dirty. I believe it, but it's not a good look. I was promptly provided another plate. - There was oddly no communication from the two older servers, not any type of affirmative noise (e.g., "mmhmm"), nod, or even eye contact, when I picked up my drink and thanked them. - I tidied up my own eating area and bussed the ceramics to the counter. This was the only bussin thing if you know what I mean, heh heh. Anyway, I thanked them, and it was as though I was invisible - no sound, nod, or eye contact as they took the plates from my hands. I really found this odd and off-putting in a retail food and beverage place. If they had said anything or made any gestures to acknowledge their customer's presence I wouldn't have felt like a ghost or even noticed anything off about customer service - it's a coffee shop not a 3-course meal. However, the absence of any communication was loud and made this behavior more noticeable than if they acted baseline normal. I mean, just follow the lead of your register server, that was a pretty human interaction. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe they should take some tips from ChatGPT because I've had friendlier interactions with AI. read more
It's such a wonderful place to just chill and enjoy the sun out. Staff is friendly, and food display is 10/10. We got to try the egg avocado tartine and smoked salmon avocado tartine. Both were delicious. For drinks we got latte and americano. Great food and amazing vibe. Will definitely come back. They share restrooms with other stores down the hallway, some parkings available nearby. read more

Found out that there was a new cafe in Palo Alto and had to stop by! The interior of the cafe was cozy and warm and felt like a great spot to meet up with friends. We ordered a hot matcha latte with housemate syrup and a cappuccino. Both were delicious! The coffee was strong and the espresso flavors really shone through! We also ordered a chocolate twist (not sure the name) and a croffle! I was so excited to eat the croffle which had whipped cream and fresh raspberries on top until I noticed mold on the raspberry.. I was so sad cause I already ate one! I picked up the raspberry and looked inside and noticed it was all black.. it scared me because I have a very sensitive stomach. My mom went in to ask them if we could get something else and upon seeing the moldy raspberry the owner didn't apologize and just said she would make another one. I'm not sure if she just wasn't having a good day but I felt like it would have felt more genuine if she had just apologized! It happens sometimes and not receiving an apology made me sad. I am obsessed with this cafe! They serve a variety of Korean-style coffees! The Cloudy Latte comes with this dreamy, fluffy whipped topping that's as heavenly as it sounds. And the flavor? A perfect blend of nutty and creamy. They've got a great selection of food on the menu too! I indulged in their egg avocado and tomato mozzarella tartines - so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Plus, their strawberry and matcha croffles are the cutest, tastiest treats to pair with your coffee. Enjoyed my past few experiences here. The lattes are reasonably priced for the area ($4.75 in Mar 24) and taste stronger than many other shops in the Bay Area I have tried. The food options are also good and taste higher quality. I've tried the smoked salmon toast and the egg and avocado toast and both are good. It looks nice and clean inside as well. The cafe is located between the golf course and Palo Alto municipal airport. Sort of out of the way compared to most of Palo Alto but a great choice if you're in the area. It seems to take a little while to actually get your order relative to other places, but I don't mind for what I get. read more

This café is a true gem. The space is clean and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I loved the global coffee flavors and variety of options, they clearly put thought into their menu. The food is amazing, with bold, delicious flavors and a great balance between savory and sweet choices. You can really taste the quality of the local ingredients they use. What a cute coffee shop! This new shop opened about 5 months ago and I've been meaning to visit for a while now. Right next to the Baylands Golf Course and Palo Alto Airport, this cozy little shop is a great place to grab a drink with friends and sit outside on their many tables/chairs or get some work/homework done indoors. As for the drink, I grabbed a butterscotch latte (iced with oat milk) for $6.50 before tip and tax. They had a nice foam/whip cream on top. A solid drink that wasn't too sweet! This coffee shop is a super cute spot right next to the small Palo Alto airport. I've been here a few times and I really like their coffee. My husband really likes their matcha and their Butterscotch latte is a literal dream. We've also had their cloudy but that's more of an unsweetened latte with cold foam. They keep some syrups at the front in case you want to add vanilla or simple syrup to your drink! read more
