Excellent baked goods, sandwiches, buns, salads, plates and coffee drinks. The cookies are the best, especially the chocolate chip cookies. The break bar is one of my favorites and is so hearty and tasty. The scones and all the variety of breads are amazing. The stufffed buns (bao) are worth trying. For the plate, choose a protein, sauce & 3 sides. The cafe latte is perfect. Everything is made with care, looks great, tastes great and is reasonably priced. I will continue to support this business.

Coffee was super tasty! Rollette was delicious. Vibe was lively and everyone friendly. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon but able to get seating as people go in and out. We also ordered the lox and caprese sandwiches which come with a mixed greens salad.

This place was delicious! Pros: Plenty of indoor/ outdoor seating Delicious pastries - the lemon ricotta pastry was my favorite. The Asian fusion mandos were also delicious- we had the pork / shrimp, and the egg/ chive. Servings are small though. Packed up our takeout very nicely. Has its own parking underground and also close to municipal parking Hot chocolate (and pistachio hot chocolate) was yummy! Has kids games and coloring sheets to keep lils entertained Cons: No low fat dairy options for drinks but does have oat and almond milks. Food took a while to come out even if it's premade and just getting heated. I think you can also just get it cold to go and heat yourself. Pro tips: Unheated pastries available at their to-go stand across the street

Cute café‑bakery vibe. Food is standard café fare, but done cleanly--the salad was evenly dressed, the lemon ricotta pain moist and dense. Tried the original chocolate chip and the oatmeal cookies but the original chocolate remains the star of the show for me. Service was friendly and nice. Overall, an easy, pleasant stop.

Updating my review because they've updated their menu somewhat. This time, my mixed greens were dressed with an actual salad dressing which gave them a lot more flavor. And my Brussels sprouts were fried and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. And the potatoes were also fried and super delicious and crunchy. They now also offer a dipping sauce on the side as well, and I chose lemon aioli. But with actually sauces and flavoring added to my sides, I didn't actually use much of it. And I chose roasted chicken instead of the tasteless fried cutlet and was pleasantly surprised by both the portion size and the flavor. Service at the counter was very amiable and pleasant and he even stopped by later at our table to check in on how our meal is going. We sat outside surrounded by many leafy plants where there was also a nice breeze and shade. Overall, a great experience and probably one of the most reasonably priced lunch options in Menlo Park.

Positive vibes and great views all around and in a very convenient location walking distance to/from the Menlo Park train too. Little Sky Kitchen looks hidden and small inside, but it's a pretty legit cafe/coffee spot. Feels inviting and great out here! I had a small hot cup matcha latte $7 with a poppyseed muffin $6 and was satisfied with the cashier who was chatting with me. Friendly and conversational. Grab a table number if dining here. Pastries looked amazing. They have good breakfast/lunch menu items to choose from. Excitement is next door with the popular and spacious Cafe Borrone taking center attention, especially around lunchtime with career professionals dining indoors and outdoors. It's quiet at Little Sky Kitchen, which fits the business name and type of place. There's free public parking in garage under this Menlo Center plaza. Street parking is much harder to find. I am tempted to try more items next time. Environment was fabulous for this little cafe/restaurant setting. I'll be back!

I was in the area and found this location specifically for its pastries. Firstly, I'd like to say everything looked amazing! I ended up getting the double chocolate chip cookie and the Nutella stuffed bread, initially. Both items were full of flavor, tasted fresh, were very affordable. I wish the bread was warmed up though because it would have taken it to another level! I noticed they had a full lunch menu and decided to indulge. I had the roasted chicken, Brussels sprouts, and carrot slaw! The carrot slaw was PHENOMENAL! It seemed to be tossed in a sweet gochujang marinade that was cold and refreshing. Oh and btw the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I'll be back! Pros: Affordable. A nice patio with a relaxing chill ambiance. Fresh tasting meals full of flavor. Delicious sweet treats. Great for Cons: A little oily if you're being health conscious.

I love this place, and am not sure why I procrastinated for so long on writing a review for them. Location/ambiance: For context, I work right across the train tracks from Little Sky, at Saint Frank Coffee. So it's uber convenient for me to come here during my lunch breaks, which I usually do around 3-4 times per week. I really appreciate the music and overall ambiance here. It makes for a good place for a conversation, which I see a lot of people doing here. For me, I definitely come for the food and for a quiet space to decompress from work with a book or devotional. And so, the pretty outdoor patio, comfortable seating, and soothing music are all much appreciated attributes of this environment for me. Food: I really enjoy the food. Firstly, the fact that it's relatively healthy and freshly cooked is big for me. Second, the flavor in the roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts is something I genuinely look forward to. The rotisserie chicken and fried chicken are both pretty bland on their own, to be honest, but the lazi sauce easily makes up for this. Sauces: To take a moment on the lazi sauce, it's like a semi-sweet, non-spicy chili flake based sauce that is simply really, really good. If you go & make a similar order to mine, try it. The dark sweet soy sauce is delicious as well. Lastly, I'd be remiss to not mention the breakfast sandwich -- absolutely delicious. Only reason I don't have a photo of it is because I can never wait long enough before devouring it to catch a photo! Price: this one's a bit complicated for me because when they first opened, they were selling their plate with one protein + three sides for $10. Just 10 dollars!!!!! Since then, they've raised the price to $18. Which is understandable given the generally high cost of goods in this area. It's just disappointing for me. So, I've adjusted so that I can continue coming here by limiting myself on weekdays to just one protein with the lazi sauce -- $9. On weekends if I'm here, I'll treat myself to the full plate with sides for $18. Service: I wish I could give a shout out to all their workers, because essentially everyone who has worked here during the last year I have been coming here have been friendly, welcoming, and at the very least polite towards me. From the current staff, I want to acknowledge Harper for always greeting me with a smile. Georgina and Miracle are both especially welcoming and warm, and I enjoy having conversations with them whenever time allows. There are a few more staff members whose names I either don't know yet, or who worked here in the past. So giving them a general shout out and thank you. A final note is that the staff has turned over quite a bit over the past year, which can be disappointing as a regular customer as you don't get to see the people you form mini-friendships with anymore. I understand this is a natural element of food service, especially in this area, but just wanted to note that as well. However, even with all the turnover, pretty much every new person who has come to work here has been kind, warm, and welcoming towards me. Which actually ends up meaning more than you would think when I've made this my regular lunch spot I go to more days out of the week than not. Thanks again to everyone at Little Sky! Best, Kyle

I hate to do this because I want to support small businesses and I have otherwise enjoyed my meals here (though a tad pricey for the portions), but I had a very disappointing experience here today (Sunday 11am). Brought my two kids and husband here for an early lunch. It was very cold and I popped in to ask the lady at the register if dogs were allowed inside. She was very kind and went on and on about how they were very dog friendly, yes dogs are permitted inside, do we want a dog bowl and treats, etc. After that I ask my husband to move the group inside from the patio, proceed to order a $75 fast casual meal, and have now situated in a four seater. Then someone else comes out and asks if my dog is a service dog, and I say no. She then says we have to go outside for health code reasons. I explain that I just asked and was told we could sit inside before I ordered and she did not care. No concern that they'd just told us the opposite, no effort to help problem solve or make our move easier, NO APOLOGY for the mistake or inconvenience. I would expect basic acknowledge, apologize and offer to help us move? She was worse than a chatbot. Really poor customer experience and sort of erases all of our prior experiences here. I didn't catch her name but she has short hair and I think it was dyed orange. Do better. Food is still tasty.

    Original chocolate chip cookie
    Sharon C.

Came to try their pastries. Their original chocolate chip was good, so I bought more to share with friends. It's a chunky, chewy cookie with walnuts and dried apricots. The outdoor seating area is cute! Not sure how often their small pop up store is open, but we saw it across the street in front of Philz coffee. They had a lot more pastry offerings, esp challah bread. I got the pistachio challah bread. It was good but $6 for one roll and a little pistachio stuffing is a bit steep. I'd recommend sticking with the cookie!

    Iced latte, onion parm bialy
    Katie K.

I went kind of close to closing and the guy manning the cashier started giving out random extra buns to customers. I originally only ordered a coffee and a savory bread but came back home with an extra nutella bun. The inside is sorta limited in seating but they have a lot more tables outside. The onion parm bialy ended up being a bit dry and hard. I wanted to love it cuz it looked so yummy but it was just alright.

    Cute dog-friendly patio (7 tables)!

The brunch culture is cray. Waiting 1-2+ hours to pay $20+ for eggs, bacon, and toast is not my jam. If you see a mob of brunch goers outside Café Borrone and don't want to wait... Little Sky Kitchen! (They're hidden to the left of it.) Sure, it's not brunch fare but when you're hangry and can't wait any longer, why not support another local small business for sustenance? An offshoot of Little Sky Bakery, Little Sky Kitchen is churning out an eclectic mix of French, Italian, and Northern Chinese savory goods. The owner started selling her scratch made baked goods in 2018 in Farmers Markets. Since then, she's opened a brick & mortar location just across the street on Santa Cruz Avenue and has a stall at State Street Market (food hall) in Los Altos. Open for takeout and dine-in. We were headed to Stanford Shopping Center so stopped by for a snack. There was no line and it was empty the entire time we were there (Sunday 10 am - 10:30 am). Good option for a quiet meal. M E N U Chinese Baos and Mando, Italian Pano (pizza), Sandwiches, and Entrees (already prepared): rotisserie chicken, schnitzel, beef bourguignon, braised pork belly and Sides: potatoes, rice, grilled veggies. For non-savory, they had muffins, scones, cookies, and cake slices. Drinks: Hot tea and coffee. Most items were kept in the cold case and can be warmed up upon request. Steep pricing but it's Menlo Park. F O O D * Shrimp & Pork Mando ($7.50) // 4 stars: https://tinyurl.com/k44h8bnf --Requested to heat it up Best described as a large, flattened Sheng Jian Bao, pan-fried pork bun without the soup. Crispy on the outside with a savory pork, shrimp, and chive filling. The middle was quite doughy tho. * House-cured Lox Sandwich ($16) // 3.75 stars: https://tinyurl.com/2ue5f7j8 Good quality ingredients, silky smooth lox that wasn't too salty with a delicious chive (?) cream cheese and refreshing cucumbers. Because it's kept in the cold case, the seeded baguette was too tough and chewy to enjoy (at 10 am opening time). We had to deconstruct the sandwich to eat it. Had it been assembled to order, it would probably be 5 stars. S E R V I C E Warm, welcoming service. There's only one staff FOH and one baker. A M B I A N C E Quaint and cozy with two tables inside and little nook seating area. There's seven tables outside in the covered patio adorned with lanterns: https://tinyurl.com/26xncrcy P A R K I N G Underground parking garage. Overall, Little Sky Kitchen is good option for grab 'n go meals. When I'm craving Northern Chinese Baos when headed to Stanford Shopping Center, I now know where to go!

Lox sandwich served without any lox
    Bonnie N.

Ordered a lox sandwich, but instead got a sandwich with no lox. Bread was also hard. They weren't able to fix our sandwich because the kitchen staff left after we realized their mistake. The manager shared that they had put away the smoked salmon, and they didn't know how to get more out of the machine. They offered a refund and a complimentary chocolate chip cookie, which we had also gotten as a sample when we entered the shop and enjoyed. The fried chicken in the fried chicken sandwich was kind of soggy and flavorless. Hot latte was okay. Not amazing, but also not bad.

Lots of tasty drink options with milk choices and customizable sweetness and ice level - much appreciated! Cakes were delicious and filled with freshly whipped cream. We had the hojicha and biscoff ones. Not incredibly busy - a lot of orders were takeout. Cons: A lot of things were out of stock by 1pm but maybe this is due to Mother's Day. Pricey but the items were high quality. Store is a small footprint with limited utilities (no WiFi, bathroom was temporarily out of order). Parking is very difficult- it's on el Camino so the cars are unforgiving if you're trying to parallel park, and the road parallel by a block is not much better.
