I've been to a lot of massage places. Some ghetto. Some luxurious. But rarely do I actually enjoy…read morethe massage. Until now. My sister introduced me to this place but several of my colleagues have also recommended Beautiful Day. I have fallen in love! An hour massage here is like HEAVEN! From the moment you walk in, Dustin or Jason will happily greet you, have you fill out a quick form to circle all the spots you want focus on, and then they walk you to your massage location. I've had two different gals massage me and both are exceptional! I have zero complaints! Pressure was amazing, pacing was great, technique was perfect. I just love it. I took my mom today and she usually is like "meh" after a massage but after coming here, she could not stop praising them! It helped her sciatica so much! She said all the tension in her leg and head were gone! It's a small place but it's so clean, so welcoming, and so professional! The only thing I will mention is you need to leave early so you don't get caught up in Pasadena traffic. There is a parking structure nearby that has dedicated spots for Beautiful Day and it's like a 2-minute walk. I will be taking my mom and sister back here often. Thank you, guys!

I had Cindy today and she exceeded all my expectations! Her massage style was the perfect mix of relaxing but strong. I have chronic back pain and I felt so much relief. This is going to be my new go-to spot for massages!! Dustin at the front desk was so friendly and made me feel welcome and Cindy was just amazing. I can't wait to come back.

My sister who lives in Texas wanted to get me something special for my birthday. She researched and…read morefound this place. I finally got to check them out on Mother's Day! Upon arriving, I was greeted by two wonderful employees. I checked in and went to swing on the swings outside until I was called back. My amazing masseuse Sam took care of me and really made sure that she took the knots out of my problem areas. If you want a massage for a decent price, this is it! You get top notch service at a fraction of what they charge at the Langham etc. My husband already signed up for membership

I had a gift card for The Now and had been excited to use it. I called in to make an appointment…read morebecause I didn't think I could redeem it online. She let me know that I could use it online and to book there. I wasn't sure why she couldn't book it over the phone, but just let it go and booked online. The day before my massage I got a call and a text asking if I could change my appointment time to 15 minutes earlier. I let them know the day of my appointment that it was fine. When I walked in there were 3-4 people behind the counter. They offered water which was nice but it was room temp/warm. I then had to fill out a long intake form which I wish I could have done online. They handed me an iPad with no base or stand so I was just holding it and typing. I hurriedly finished the intake which is the longest massage intake form I've ever filled out. There was a very awkward introduction to my massage therapist. The whole check in experience felt like it was everyone's first day. The room where the massages are done are shared, similar to a foot massage place. They had an ocean sound playing, but it was so loud that I couldn't hear my therapist when he asked me questions. I could occasionally hear other people talking which snaps you out of the relaxation zone. The actual massage was good. I got The Now, 50 min with added deep tissue. The total with tip was around $185. At that price, I'd rather pay a little more and go to a place that has more amenities and feels more like an experience. When left, they gave me the breakdown of the membership which feels like a timeshare pitch. If you're not a member you're basically overpaying. Even at the member price I don't know if it's worth it. Parking is free with validation, so that was nice.

As a massage therapist myself of 20 years I expect the therapist to know muscle anatomy and…read morealignment with the client's needs. Highlights vs. concerns First impression:** May was waiting on arrival; session lasted 90 minutes. Technique issues:** The first 45 minutes involved using her feet to rub over the sheets, which was VERY painful and not therapeutically effective. I kept telling her ouch... it hurts. Missed targets:** I explicitly asked to focus on my neck and shoulders, but the massage emphasized arms and legs. Even after flipping, the upper back/shoulders/traps did not receive the requested attention with only 10 minutes left. And then she proceeded to go back onto my legs, and I had to tell her no. She then went to my shoulders for two minutes or less, and then proceeded to rub my rhomboids. I told her my shoulders and traps hurt not my rhomboids. I don't think she understood. Like I said it's a language barrier... and if I'm pain, I feel it's not my responsibility to educate. Communication:** There may have been a language barrier contributing to misalignment with my goals. Bottom line This session did not meet my expectations for anatomy-informed, goal-directed work. A different therapist at the same clinic or clearer pre-session communication might yield better results. The massage was probably one of the worst massages I've ever had.. And I definitely will not be back to try anybody else. When looking into another room, all the rooms seem to have bars on the ceiling and look like they may all have the same technique... not a fan!

I've been coming here to get massages from Lucky since 2017, so I think it's about time I write a…read morereview! First off, Lucky is wonderful. I have back and neck problems and have gotten at least one massage a month for the last 10+ years. For the last several years, Lucky is the only therapist I've gone to. She's consistent, understands anatomy and musculature, and she tailors the massage to your needs. I prefer medium-pressure Swedish style, but shes versatile and she'll supplement with some stretching or even walking on your back if you request it, and I've enjoyed the therapeutic value of both of those things on occasion. She's a very capable massage therapist, and for me, her massages are the perfect blend of bodywork and relaxation. The facilities are clean, and the front desk staff is consistently friendly and helpful. I've been to this spot since it was called The Massage Place, then The Massage Hub, and now Massage One Wellness. I purchase massage packages to take advantage of the package discount, and I've never had any issues with them honoring my package when they've changed the store name. I see some reviews where gift cards weren't honored; maybe it's a physical gift card instead of the packages purchased at the front desk? I always pre-buy the package when I'm checking out, and the package is then digitally associated with my account. If you're looking for a quality massage for a fair price, try Lucky at Massage One!

Upon arrival, he had weird vibes about the place. No one spoke English so there was no clear direction and communication. His masseuse just pointed to a room so he entered and was left for a few minutes. Again, because there was no communication, he was thinking "Do I undress or what is happening?" As the service began, the massage was extremely rough, like putting DIRECT pressure on the spine. To the point where it was very painful and not even remotely enjoyable. The craziest part to me was that my fiancé felt uncomfortable because his masseuse was only using one hand because she was using her other hand to be on her phone calling people. HUH??? How unprofessional. I was baffled to hear this. Then the last half of the massage it seemed like she was simply rubbing just to pass time and not actually massage. If you are looking for even just a HALF decent massage, do NOT come here.
