My gel pedicure was fine overall, but I was nicked during the service and started bleeding. When I pointed it out, the only response I received was being asked if I wanted alcohol sprayed on it. There was no apology or additional concern shown, which was disappointing. The biggest issue was my gel builder manicure. Before the service, I clearly explained that I wanted the gap between my cuticle and the nail polish to non -existential. The technician assured me that once she added additional coats, the gap would disappear. It never did. It's only been a week, and my nails already look like they need a fill because of the noticeable space near the cuticles. For a fresh builder gel manicure, that shouldn't be the case. I'm very surprised I haven't written a review yet as I've been coming here for years. Overall, this is the most solid Nail Salon in Pasadena. One of the things I love is that I can almost always get a walk-in or an appointment on short notice which is so appreciative. They consistently do a great job. What I really love is how friendly everyone is there. They really do care and are kind.. I love the pedicure with a hot stone massage. They have a very nice selection of nail polish as well. I'm close to delivering my baby and wanted a nice mani/pedi as I know I won't be able to get them done for some time. I had a gel mani/pedi this past Saturday, total came out to $100 (not including tip). The manicure was awful, she cut my nails too short despite them being already short and they're all uneven, I asked for round but they're all different shapes between round and square. No massage. One of my nails just peeled off 6 days later. I feel like the tech didnt do a proper cuticle clean so the gel didnt stick properly. I believe it was $50 for the gel pedicure but $50 for a gel manicure that was rushed and not done well is unfortunate. To put into context, the last gel mani I had lasted for one month and it started chipping towards 3 week mark and I paid less than I paid here for a legit manicure (including a massage). The whole experience felt rushed, I don't think she even put cuticle oil on my hands before leaving. This is just more of a courtesy, but usually the tech will assist with putting sandals back on but neither of the techs did that, they just moved my shoes closer to me, which hey I don't mind but I'm also 36 weeks pregnant so shoes can be a little difficult right now. For the amount I paid, it's a rip off since I can get a quality mani/pedi closer to my home that will actually last more than one week. read more

I had a great first time experience 5/18, and was welcomed with a glass of champagne. I received a hard gel mani on my natural nails as they are very long to protect them. Today on my visit, 6/13, I received terrible customer service. I sat for nearly 2 hours and was never offered a drink, I asked for my nails to be slimmer and trimmed. They used the machine to cut them down and smooth, my nails hurt and were hot. My nails are so short there was no reason for me to get hard gel for $65 extra. I wasn't even offered lotion or oil for my hands. No apology, no discount or assurance I would get one next time. Not to mention the inspo I shared was not achieved. I wish I could give zero stars for the level of customer service I experienced. I went in with a full set of acrylic nails that had been done at another salon over three weeks prior -- and they were still holding perfectly. I simply asked for a refill. Instead, the technician insisted on removing everything and recommended switching to Gel-X, saying it was the "best option." I trusted her professional judgment. That was my first mistake. She removed my entire set and cut my natural nails extremely short (without properly explaining why), then proceeded with Gel-X extensions. Because my nails were cut so short, the extensions clearly didn't have a solid base -- and it showed. Within five days, two nails had already fallen off. Within ten days, I had lost four nails total. I went back to show them what happened. Instead of taking accountability, they told me they "don't recommend Gel-X." That would have been helpful to hear BEFORE your technician recommended it and removed my perfectly good set. They offered to redo my nails with acrylic at a "discount," which I agreed to. But here's where it gets worse: * First visit: $85 (to remove a perfectly good set + Gel-X that failed) * Second visit: $65 (even after claiming a 20% discount) They charged me AGAIN for removal -- this time removing the poor work done by their own salon. Then they applied the discount after adding that charge, which completely defeats the purpose. So within less than two weeks, I paid $150 total just to end up with a decent set of nails I should have had from the beginning. When I questioned why I was charged removal for fixing their own work, I was told it was because of the "time it takes." That response alone says everything about how they handle customer issues. This wasn't just about the money -- it's the lack of accountability, poor judgment, and unwillingness to make things right. I will not be coming back. read more
